- This week! Im set a challenge that involves making the worlds funniest movie, or my friend who's in a coma will never wake up again! Also my dads fighting a communist elephant. Also; my neighbours have a combined IQ of 3. Also; I may or may not be a wrestling messiah.
ANYWAY! If you hated "A Karate Christmas Miracle" (And lord knows you should!) then you'll LOVE this sideways sequel 2020's "A Wrestling Christmas Miracle" and I mean that quite literally, the films are basically exactly the same with just the sport swapped out...at this rate I fully expect to love "A Lawn Dart Christmas Miracle" in 2024.
Oh! and RIP Gilbert Gottfried, you were a real one.

Synopsis:
An 11-year-old phenom wrestler with an undefeated record, Kace Gabriel gives up the sport to write and direct a movie. He believes that if the film makes his best friend Charlie laugh on Christmas Day, it will awake the boy from a coma. Kace's dad Ajax Gabriel, an Olympian wrestler with a mysterious side career, supports his son's wish, cautioning that the friend may never come out of his slumber. A week before Christmas, the movie is produced, starring Ajax and a zany cast of characters, ready to make everybody laugh. Ajax departs to Africa, where he headlines The Christmas Coup in the Congo, a wrestling tournament that has him scheduled to return on Christmas, just in time for the movie presentation to Charlie. But instead of everything going as planned, disgruntled bumbling actors steal the sole hard-drive containing the movie, and The Christmas Coup in the Congo turns out to be a real coup with the overthrow of the country's communist dictator--and Ajax is right in the center of it all. Unable to get in touch with him in the Congo, Kace and his mother go on a crazy cat-and-mouse chase trying to retrieve the movie hard-drive as it's held for ransom. You never fail to amaze me with your tolerance and self motivation to watch such utter shite. After watching your videos for quite a while now I am impressed how long you've managed to keep serious therapy at bay. I'm sure large quantities of alcohol, a strong support system and possibly prescribed medication factor into the equation. You definitely have a strong constitution.
Its a bit like microdosing poison, you do it enough and you either end up severely ill, or you get a kind of immunity from it...but I mean...a good single malt definitely helps! xD we're not at the bottom of the barrel yet! but with this one we were getting close!
I had to pull this up on the IMDb just to see if I was imagining things, but nope.
Those really were Todd Bridges and Michael Winslow.
IMDb also said Jimmy Walker is in there somewhere, too, so it's nice that 1970s sitcom black child actors are still getting work.
Its amazing really isnt it? as you say, it's nice to see they're still active on the scene. I still cant quite get over Gilbert Gottfries appearance in this. I dont know whats the worse, the fact he's in this movie, or the fact he's in this movie for SUCH a short period of time! it's wild...Merry christmas man! and thanks for dropping by! :)
@@TYTDReviews Probably the worst is how this was close to being one of Gottfried's last film roles.
The prodigal grappling talent returns! While not as enjoyably ridiculous as KARATE, this one shows they tried harder and still didn't quite understand what a film is. Some films are so bad I can't look away and this qualifies. Such a mess of ineptitude I admire it. Or maybe my brain was tainted having seen both of these movies.
Hey man! long time no see! hope you've been keeping well! and oh! I think you've summed it up perfectly, this is rubbernecking at a crash scene in pure cinematic form! I think it's a bit more technically sound that 'Karate' but as you say, it still very much feels like a Dog staring at a TV, it may get that *Something* is happening. but i'll be damned if it knows whats ACTUALLY going on. I still hold out hope for a 3rd entry to make it an unholy trilogy honestly. I'll be there and ready should it ever drop.
@@TYTDReviews All is good, another wild year in the books. Gotta ask, with JOKERS POLTERGEIST being a canon film in this ... Ahem... Saga, can we call it an Unholy Trinity already? Also the Joker movie was revealed to have taken place at Christmas, possibly making it the only "stealth Christmas movie" (one that doesn't even know it's one)!
THERE'S ANOTHER ONE? OH NO!!!! Neither of these movies have any idea what they actually want to be. Also I hope you still plan to cover more karatekidsploitation movies, because there's just so much to mock, marvel at and ridicule.
Ohhh yes! unfortunately! Im still hoping they'll make it a trilogy and put out "A Kickboxing Christmas Miracle" some day XD and oh im absolutely open to more karatekidsploitation flicks! if you have any recs i'll happily add them to my to watch pile :) happy christmas!
@@TYTDReviews I think I did mention these so I'm sorry if I repeat myself, but the three you absolutely need to check out are "Shootfighter: Fight to the Death," "The Power Within," and "The Dog Who Saved Summer." (The last one also features James Hong, the poor guy)
