This is absolutely true. I avoided most of these foods and even dairy products and my peridos were surprisingly pain free and light.
Avoid on and before periods-
1. High salt food like packed & canned food, pickles (coz it elevates pain and causes bloating) (instead of salt, use lemon, herbs, pepper, garlic for taste)
2. High fat food like butter, cream, potato chips, fast food, dessert (causes heavy flow and hormonal imbalance) (eat nuts seeds legume instead).
3.Alcohol, sweets, processed food, spicy food and caffeine (causes discomfort, more pain, hormonal imbalance, lethargy)
So no dark chocolate?
@@shivangimishra8158 Dark chocolate or 70% is very low in sugar and high in magnesium, zinc, copper, vit B, and mico nutrients etc which can help to relieve the symptom leading up to menstruation. Magnesium helps with relaxing the muscle and muscle cramps. The amt of caffeine in it compared to black coffee /tea or a caffeinated drink is much less. I always eat raw and dark chocolate before my period . My body craves it and I see it help ease my emotions. Studies have shown and proven that dark chocolate helps with menstruation. It is a superfood and one of the best provided by mother nature when eaten closest to its purest form for women.🥰. Sugar and processed foods are the culprits.
But nuts increase the pain😑

I still remember I was in class 8th and in mrng I was studying before exam it was maths so anyway I was trying to do it I felt sleepy I drank coffee and with that namkeen....after that oh my godd I never experienced such pain in my life like I was literally yelling out of pain ....it was the worst pain and I was unaware of the reason of this pain ...anyway later on I got to know that this was due to caffeine and spicy food which makes cramping worsen
