Thank you Abe, the bike was mint condition, had lots of good options and I knew the guy who owned it for 15 years. It took 2 seconds to do the math sell V650 & XR650 for a Tenere and have extra trip money. It’s one amazing machine.

Hi Frank, Yes that working gets in the way. Not the video I was hoping for, ended up getting stung by an angry KTM bee 🐝 and didn’t realize the camera was off. Had to get something out before making more changes.

Beautiful bike with lots of nice extras. Congratulations again. I hope your insect sting is OK. That friction cruise control is a version I had not seen before. Nice! Should be great for your upcoming adventure.
I learned to keep the cuffs on the sleeves tightened, that’s for sure.
Hard to believe it will be parked at a coffee shop at the beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

Hehe the TMM tires are very heavy. The good news is, if you get a flat, you can still ride on the rear for sure. - Frank
I was shocked at the tire weight and the amount of balancing weights used. I almost feel like taking the tire someplace else and see if it's correct but it's on the bike, and time is ticking away. Panniers and bags tomorrow. I would like to get a small trip in to test the tires this week.

Not sure how the KLR is going to feel about this, sharing the stable with a younger sexy Tenere!
The KLR still has a place, older, simpler and slower is something we both share and relate too. Compared to the KLR the Tenere look like alien technology.

Thank you , The bike is better than new. The tank bag is a Nelson Rigg , Trails end Adventure. About $100 , I’ve used this one for about 3 years and use it on every bike.
