- This will be controversial! But the Yamaha Tenere 700 has a truth you need to hear! When I rode this motorcycle something became obvious. Have a reality check. If you don’t ride off road, You don’t need the Yamaha Tenere 700. This simple motorcycle has been extremely popular with its reliable CP2 Engine and no nonsense adventure bike approach but is it any better than a 20 year old Honda Transalp for example? Join me on the road as we Review the Yamaha Tenere 700 and get the reality check needed. The vibrations riding this particular bike left me less than impressed, although not reported in allot of other reviews of the T7 this was my experience riding the motorcycle.

One property I like about riding adventure bikes on paved road is it's visibility. The height and up-straight sitting position definitely make it more visible on the roads. Yeah, at the price of wind resistance and lower speed. But for me it's worth it.
Absolutely Road presence and comfort are very important
If you don't plan to ever use the T7 offroad, there are many better bikes out there.
Same goes for pure offroad riders, many lighter bikes better suited for offroad.
That said, T7 fits my needs perfectly as I like to be able to reach places a typical touring bike won't let me. Not super technical stuff, but normal offroad tracks really make the bike shine.
People that don't ever take the T7 offroad are missing the fun T7 can offer.

im really struggling to find something but i am picky, transalp looks ugly to me, gs too big, tenere too off road focused, naked bikes not enough luggage room, and things like the tracer seem to weighty to commute on daily and enjoy it on the roads i take

@@SDrizzy Get a Multistrada V4S. Once you're on it, it doesn't feel heavy or big anymore. You really have 3 different bikes and you can switch from one to the other with just two fingers, and this while driving. And in sport mode, with firm suspension, which you can set and memorize, it's really a race bike but with a comfortable sitting position.
What "better bikes"?
Because if you're a lanky git like me and want something tall, but without the weight and err, demanding nature of a big (1000+cc) engine, then you're kinda stuck with a KTM.
Yes I know the Africa twin 1100 engine isn't going to be as aggressive as my RC8R, but it seems only KTM are making tall, light and narrow bikes with great brakes and chassis.
The Japanese are content to recycle the Transalp and Tenere formulas that pretend to be off road yet compromise road with tubed tyres and a chassis that will inevitably see no more off roading than a gravel driveway!
In September, I had the opportunity of riding the World Raid 2023 for three days in the Lake District, fitted with hard panniers. Travelling to and from on the Motorways at progressive speeds there was little if any unpleasant vibrations. For about 90 minutes on the M6 the heavens opened and at times, torrential, the screen and the wide tanks afforded great protection. Travelled over the so called “terrifying” passes without any drama.
I had the original 700 in 2019 and was disappointed but the upgrades Yamaha have included in line with the price increase have made this bike so much better. Said this many times before, amazed the manufacturer hasn’t made available as an optional extra, tubeless tyred wheels.
I was impressed with the bike, especially the improved seat.
The only TRUTH you NEED to hear are your own opinions AFTER riding any bike. Don’t be fooled by the amateur experts, get a leg across and ride.
You are comparing the world raid to this older standard T7. I am in agreement with you, the new models including the world raid are worlds apart, hugely improved machines. Although why Yamaha don’t listen to what the customers want is beyond me…. Where is the damn cruise control?!
@@ontheroadadventure ..Indeed, I am comparing the old with the upgraded. The attraction for many is the lack of electronic gadgets, Yamaha set out their stall to sell a conventional motorcycle, keep the price competitive and it worked. With the World Raid for instance it is far easier to disable the ABS which for me is a bonus. When I begin to rely on electronic widgets to arrive safely, I’ll hang up my boots. That is just my view / preference on the subject after exactly 60 years of motorcycling and some of that time as a professional together with the refreshers and reviews that went with it.
The 2023 Yamahondukisakis for instance will I doubt ever reach classic status, the cost of replacing the various gizmos as they fail will not be cost effective, if indeed the parts will be available.
Yamaha with the Tenere 700 may, just may be able to last that bit longer.
The sad part of Tenere 700 ownership however is the total inability to arrive at the Greasy Spoon cafe and elaborate on how much your bike has cost! Best just to take a picture of the full English and spend your time in silence sending it to the rest of the group at the same table on their…you’ve guessed it…electronic gadget.

I’m from the UK, It’s an Adventure bike, A little vibration is how it is…My Dad was import Manager for Triumph and Yamaha since the 70s, I’ll give you credit, Yamaha’s realibility

I use my t7 as an alrounder, I commute everyday to work ,I tour with my wife as pillion and I also use it at weekends ,for the green lanes around Derbyshire dales, its all I'd ever want in a bike . And it's proving to be bomb proof .
It’s a Yamaha! Reliability is not something you need to worry about 👍 does your wife find it comfortable on the back? Not much of a pillion seat on them?

All motorcycle reviews are just one persons opinion, I always say the best thing to do is to go and ride a bike yourself and try it out. Out of curiosity have you tried the world raid one? @ontheroadadventure yeah mate . It had far better suspension on the woops . But after some consideration only on the price I went with the standard. I'm 51 now my motor cross days are done lol .
@@dillonrobinson8468 I also found that the world raid was allot taller which made it only just ridable for me! I talk about the price point in the video and came to the same conclusion that it’s now become a premium priced bike and that puts it against much tougher competition
I've just got back from a trip upto and around Scotland around 1800 miles in 8 days, and the T7 was fantastic. I have zero vibrations on mine, but I have the standard bar weights. Some people who have aftermarket heated grips or Barkbusters remove those weights which may be where the vibration problems arise. Admittedly I don't particularly enjoy long periods on the motorway, the engine has ample power for it, but the wind noise does get a bit much. I prefer to travel "cross country" on A roads, this is where the T7 really excels.
Agreed, we do all we can when touring to avoid motorway on any bike

I'm not sure why you had those vibrations.. To answer your question if you can get away with using a T7 for a daily city/countryside bike the answer is a big fun YES! I've daily ridden mine in Los Angeles for the past year and have 0 issues with it as a fun city bike, and it rips in the canyon twisties with the Scorpion STR tires, has 0 issues keeping up with various street focused 17" bikes. Once the bike is dialed in with a proper suspension to rider, ecu flash, exhaust system it makes for a killer 700 street bike with upright size.

Love the engine on this bike. Never had vibration issues. Living in Devon you are right next to the largest part of the TET in the uk.
I did find some of the TET when I had a crf250 and that was loads of fun! I wasn’t expecting vibrations on the t7, to give it a fair test I may try to find another one and see if it was that particular bike

I have a 2024 Tenere 700 and ride about 80% off road. Arizona 🌵🤠👍🏼desert riding. This bike stock is good but I have done some upgrades specific to my needs. I have no complaints other than it is very top heavy and dropping it is a real pain to get back up.
Wow I wish we had the chance to ride off road that much. There’s very little legal places in the uk to ride off road
Great review. The aero demo with your glove is a great way to illustrate the effectivness of the screen. This is the 1st review I've seen that mentions the bad vibrations, as someone who suffers from bad circulation and numbness this is a major issue for me so thanks for highlighting that. Its definitely something I`ll have to look out for on the test ride before I buy.
Thanks the glove thing seems to be simple and effective, I think a visual demonstration is better than saying my opinion where possible. Did you see my review of the Tenere 700 world raid? If you don't plan to do much Of road, get yourself a more Road oriented bike. T7 is great when u go of road and tour. I love mine very much, but I do 50% offroad.
Glad your enjoying your T7 if only there was more off Road opportunity where I am
100% agree, why buy an adventure bike that is designed for off road riding if you never go off road? It just doesn’t make sense, you are talking a huge compromise for no benefit. I may end up buying aT7 but I would be buying it for its off road capabilities not for the road capabilities as there are plenty of road ordinated bikes to choose from
I have a 2023 T7 (US market, so we didn’t get the new bits). I love it. For my riding right now, it fits my needs almost perfectly. I’m on gravel, dirt, or two track about every time I take it out. With that said however, if I were going to spend the majority of my time on asphalt I’d probably have the Triumph Tiger 900 rally pro. As for the vibration, that is unusual. I’ve never experienced that with the cp2. I do get wind buffeting though, where you didn’t. I’m 6’1” and the windscreen seems to move the airflow right to my face…lol. So I need to address that.
Your lucky to have so much dirt to ride there! I’m not as tall so not wind issues for me. I currently have the tiger 900 gt pro, but want something a little more adventure focused for future tours, I was disappointed with the t7 I rode, you think I just had a bad one?
@@ontheroadadventure I’m no expert, but I would have to say yes. You had a bad bike. I think possibly that bike had tire or wheel issues? Hard to say. I just know mine is incredibly smooth and has tons of low end torque. I don’t think I would rule out the T7 without trying another one.

@@ontheroadadventure US market we only have the one choice. It’s the base model. We didn’t even get the updated display or led signals for 2023. I would have liked the updated ABS, led turn signals (the ones we get here in the states are hideous), and cruise control, but we don’t have that option unfortunately.
@@DirtbikeXpeditions Oh that really sucks. It does bring me back to my point though, if it’s a basic no nonsense bike that’s wanted why not by a old Transalp or v Strom etc at 3k instead of the t7 at 10k? Not critiquing just curious really, I think there’s a good argument for both?

Going to test ride a world raid next week as I’m looking to change my CRF1100. I love the CRF in every way except for the tech. It’s my 1st bike with tech & I’m not a fan.

Did the overland trip to Cambodia in the early 2000s on a honda dominator, the perfect rtw bike. Since then nothing better has arrived, but I'm off on a full rtw and the choice is between this and the crf300 rally.
Both would be fine choices, if I knew no motorway was possible I’d take the CRF myself
Surely if you mostly gonna ride on road there are better options,but if you are a bit tall 6'2 (1,88cm) what's is preferable to do?take a bike that you won't fit like tracer 7 or a bike like tenere 700 that you fit but the use of the bike is mostly on road?nice video.
I’m a big fan of the tracer 900, fantastic bike that’s fits well, however useless on even light off road. We do lots of long distance tours and so will inevitably find some rough stuff
@On the road yes tracer 900 is better for taller riders (not that beginnerfriendly),but the motorcycle I am thinking to buy gonna be my first though ( I will ride two up most of the times )so I'm a bit confused as you see :)
@@apz5817 Yes tracer 900 maybe a bit much for a first big bike. Have you considered big cruisers? Would be comfortable for your size and good two up
I test rode Tracer 7, 9 and T7 back to back. Bought the T7, got the suspension set up for me, put on a Touratech standard seat and never regreted it. I blast around the Black Forrest on mine (never went offroad) with my friends who ride MV Agustas and 1000cc SBKs. XD
For the price and reliability of these bikes compared to others in my opinion you just can’t go wrong, if you want speed then go by a sports bike it really pisses me off when people spout off about speed on some adv’s. If you don’t like a 700 then go pay 25k for a gs. We all do our research before we by a bike and most will modify at some point.
Your comment brings about my overall point. If you want value for money, a basic no nonsense machine that’s reliable and cheap, you can go for the OG of this category the Honda Transalp for example at a fraction of the cost of the T7 which is no longer priced as a bargain new

A whole new world of comfort for you now then! Where in the world are you? Have you got much off road around you? In the south west of the uk there is very little we are aloud to ride
Had mine a year and with the suspension done for your weight it rides fantastic. I’ve had no vibrations from mine. Only problem I have is the really uncomfortable seat.
Which one do you have the Standard T7? Do you use yours for any long distance touring? I have a review on the World Raid tenere 700 which i found to be a much better bike than the T7 i rode in this video
@@ontheroadadventure yes I have the standard 22 model. Done a few thousand miles now, 1 tour and its fine. Had the seat altered and it’s really nice over long distance as long as you stay under 90mph. Over that and I suffer bad wind noise. I’ve come from sports bikes and tried a few other adventure bikes before settling on this. Really happy with it.

All are good bikes, although you’ll find the T7 has less power than the others mentioned. Ask yourself firstly where will you be riding…. On road or off road? If you plan to do lots of off roading then the t7 is the one for you, if you want on road comfort then the GS is top of the pile… Have you considered something in the middle of these? I just did a review of the KTM 890 adventure on the channel, have a look at that one and tell me what you think…
GS1250 and T7? Totally different bikes, completely different use cases. If u want to tour and stay on asphalt get the GS, very good Toured. If you want to go of road the T7, butt not as a first of road bike. For that it is much to heavy. To learn buy a Honda crf 300rally. Can tour, but not in style, but very good to learn offroad.

When you'll test it, enter user mode, set power to max, Engine breake to 1/2, Traction to minimum and ABS as you wish.
It will blow your mind. After my test ride I ordered it. No more words to say.
@@ontheroadadventure the only reason I believe is that I paid deposit to get one ordered and that’s the reason I have a chance now to test it. I’m more KTM and Yamaha guy but want something more Turing friendly and light weight so we will see how this will work out after the road test

The t7 is a true dual purpose machine.
And how would you define “touring.”? What is the difference between touring and exploring when travelling? A friend of mine is planning a trip on a single cylinder 125cc over many months, throughout Europe, Norway and wherever his thoughts take him?
Many tour…..two weeks, two up, on a GoldWing, GS, RT etc., is this the favoured bike for “touring”, certainly is for those riders.
To submit a 12 word, incredibly basic response on a complex topic such as this indicates very little thought has gone before pressing the keys. For many, such a basic bike is of little interest to those who rely for instance on electronic gadgets to arrive at their destination safely.
For one up exploratory tours, this 700 cc machine from Yamahahaha fits the bill for so many as supported by the volume sales it has achieved.
No one bike is perfect, it never has been and never will but for many, their chosen steed may very well be the exception.

What if touring on off road?
I think you got unlucky with the vibration..never had a problem with it on mine after 3 years of faultless performance...it's a brilliant bike!!
I have to say i was surprised to find that, its not something i had heard about. Do you think it could of been the tyres? Perhaps i should find another T7 to try to give it a fair chance....
Great video mate. I’ve ordered one, without test riding, which is a bit stupid. I’m sat in central Germany and do use the TET in various surrounding countries but this involves big road miles then long off road sections, so an ADV does fit my needs. That said it’s primarily use will be year round commuting. Reliability is top of my shopping list. Because I’m crap at off road riding I need every advantage I can get, so the T7 was a natural choice. I will just have to live with its niggles that you identified. Again, it’s refreshing to see an honest, real world review. Stay safe.👍🏼

@@GreenString dont pay any attention to this crap i have bought the world raid last year , i have ownd bmw gs , triumph tigers etc and this is an awesome bike . you will love it on and of road , you have too own a bike before judging it , not a 20 min test ride , enjoy your t7 ,

Not sure where the vibration is coming from. I’ve had mine for nearly a year and I’ve really not noticed anything, I’ve moved from a GS 1200 and I’m very happy.......
It seems having ridden another but the new world raid version that they may have been something not quite right with the t7 I rode
I'd love one but sadly I'm very short,so I got a tracer.A lowered tenere with no offload capabilities?
It is possible to lower the Tenere using suspension links and also adapt the seat, the tracer is an amazing bike too though, I had the tracer 900 and absolutely loved it, one of my favourite bikes yet
It seems short sighted to ride one bike and decide the vibration is too much for you (and suggesting you have the only truth), when it is not a noted problem in any other review. Surely you would question something about that bike? It is a well known issue that Pirelli have poor quality control on the STR tires and many T7 riders have had their tires replaced due to vibration at speed. Can you tell the difference between engine vibration and tire vibration? You should try some other T7s to see if it is your sensitivity to vibration or just that bike.
You are absolutely right, and that’s exactly what I did, there’s another video on the world raid T7 and indeed the vibrations were gone. This bike was a used example and I think something was up on it

Yes absolutely, I personally went for the Africa twin after this bike as it makes a better touring machine. If I had opportunity to do more off road I would consider this again
The T7 is a great bike, in my opinion, but you can really enjoy its off road capabilities only If you're tall or if you handle off road like Gaston Rahier (2 times 1m67 tall rally dakar winner on a motorcycle). I loved it, very fun to drive. But being vertically challenged (5f7), I did not enjoy it on bad gravel roads.... so I sold it. And then I missed it. An then I tried the Ducati Multistrada V4. And wow! It's heavier, but with the seat on its lower position, I can flat foot. So it doesn't feel heavier than the T7, and in its sport mode, with the firmer suspension setting, it's almost like a race bike. And on it's 'enduro mode that helps off road incapable people like me feel capable', it's as fun as the T7, but with better brakes. And unlike a sports bike, you can drive relaxed in case there are speed limitations. So now I'm broke, but I'm driving a Multistrada (and I have to work extra hours to pay the extra fuel consumption, but left aside the price and the fuel consumption, it is an exceptional bike)

The new transalp must surely be a better machine for this type of use in the UK. I'm an offroader but bought the T7 for traveling around multi-day trips 500km or less from home. I live where we have all long perfectly straight highway 140km/h, for hours on end to get to fun stuff in the mountain backcountry. I find the T7 excruciating for that type of highway travel, but tolerable for one day here and there. Once I get to the dirt though, it's in it's element and I can stand up, move around and loosen up the seized up back from all those highway miles, and ride on. After owning this and an Africa twin, along with dozens of mx and enduro bikes, I can't imagine why anyone would buy a T7 if they only ride pavement, since the bike really excels off road more than anywhere else. I've ridden the Africa Twin for 12+ hour hard riding for days on end on the highways across country and it's a beast for that kind of travel. I wouldn't dream of doing that on the T7, but I'm much more effective on it offroad which means I don't turn back when I see that quad trail leading down toward a lake, or a sketchy jeep track leading up the mountain. The Transalp seems like it should narrow the gap between the highway comfort of the africa twin, and the lighter weight ease of handling off road of the T7. I might pick one up if I come across one at the right time. Anything else on the market has too little reliability to bother with as a solo long distance/remote back country traveler from what I've seen out there on the sides of the forestry roads lol.
You are absolutely spot on, which is why both Ewa and I now tour on Africa Twins! We love them for the long tours we do and they are doing fantastic on the current moto camping tour in Spain and Portugal, Id love to have a T7 in portugal for example where theres loads of trails to ride but in the uk theres very little

Yes perfect for your location, wish we had more dirt we are allowed to ride here in the uk. I found the world raid was a huge improvement too but definitely taller!
Cutting traffic, seeing up ahead and the occasional cheeky "short cut" over bumps/dirt are handy on road at times.

I had a DRZ400E(Too slow), then an MT09SP (Too fast), took a Harley Sportster S for a test ride (too hard to hold on, a lot of vibrations, no suspenstion) - but maybe a T7 can fullfil my needs for occassional 300 klm round trips on the freeway, traffic riding and weekend trail rides....@@ontheroadadventure
I do agree it’s a great bike but doesn’t have the comforts and tech I need for long distance touring

It is for sure possible for you to ride the Tenere 700 - The world raid is taller so will be a struggle but you can pick up a standard T7. There are options of lowering kits and lower seats etc too if you need it. Have you considered a triumph scrambler for your needs? check out my review on that one, may be more suitable perhaps?

Not managed to get my hands on one yet, it’s looking to be a great bike though, I can’t wait to ride one

This test completely misses the point of a tenere, if I had the time I would show you what a tenere can REALLY do but, I’m out having to much fun on it I can say it is one of THE best bikes I have ever ridden , it’s not the best on road, it’s not the best off road but what it does is better than ANYTHING else buy a country mile!! Nothing will touch it for it’s road manners it’s unbelievable off road handling(and I rag the hell out it) it’s build quality and THAT F***ING ENGINE!!! Wow it pulls for days and is stone reliable bombproof (unlike all my KTM’s) and is always eager to start the next day with half a push off the button, what a bike!!!
I do agree, These are fantastic bikes, reliable all rounders with the CP2 engine it’s a winner. However for me, in my opinion they are now above their price point. Yamaha need to make a proper touring variant of this with Cruise control and I would be in
I think the africa twin is the best bike for you guys it like a refined tenere but heavier.. The tenere was a no frills do it all bike very reliable. All bikes are good . Like the man said you have to get out on them a lovely bike left in the garage is a waste.
We couldn’t agree more. It’s amazing how many people will spend 15-20k on the latest bike and let it collect dust in the garage. We want to see 100k miles on our twins within 5 years

Not particularly the t7 is a large adventure bike but I’m only 5.7 with 30 inch inseam and I ride it just fine
this bike rules for exactly what it was meant for and that is whatever your ability allows. if anything pol tarres has shown us what is possible on this bike. this bike shouldn't even be compared to the other adv bikes its really in a class all its own
A great bike for sure if you can use it as intended. I think allot of people consider this bike when looking for adv tourer and this is just not the best option for that need

I test rode more T7’s after this one and the vibes were no longer a problem, I do believe something was not quite right with the one I rode in this review, I have ridden other models such as the world raid too on the channel. Which model are you getting? Does the lack of cruise control bother you?
@@ontheroadadventure I’m getting the latest gen base model blue and gold with the new tft dash. The lack of cruise control doesn’t really bother me because all the bikes I’ve owned never had it, so I’m pretty use to it. I purchase motorcycles and put little mileage on them then turn around and sell them with my end goal being a GS or Tiger to eventually get the creature comforts and the ability for extended touring.
Why not just get the GS or tiger in the first place if that’s your aim? If you don’t do many miles maybe PCP is the way to go for you?
Tenere 700 is a great off-road bike its a 50/50 bike,

Trouble with the new Transalp is the cost, by the time you have added the stuff you need to it you are in Africa twin territory so why not just buy that in the first place?

@@thodoris3790 I considered the Transalp but I knew I’d have to add on centre stand, heated grips, luggage, etc which put me at the same money as a Africa twin a year old so went for that one. Both are amazing machines for sure
I've owned this bike for 4 years and am appalled at how you ride it! CHANGE GEAR and you will see it is as smooth as butter. This bike can accelerate from 30mph to 100+mph without problem in 6th gear! Of course it is Jerky at 30mph when you are still in 2nd gear ffs. It is a torque monster...short shift and learn to love it.
I rode the newer versions of this bike and was much more impressed but where is the cruise control Yamaha?!
Yamaha’s T700 seems to a threat to some people or this is just a bit of clic bait for the T7 punters ,
if you don’t want a adventure bike don’t buy one , buy a trail bike or a road bike.
Each to their own… I’m not saying this is a bad bike, just that there are many many other options. If I needed such a basic bike, why not have a old transalp??

@@queenslander954 It all depends what you want to use it for, I wouldn’t want a new bike to do heavy off roading, seems a waste to destroy so early on in its life! We don’t have such places in our area though to ride much off road sadly

I use mine primarily for off-road use. Check out my channel. I live in Florida. I haven’t taken it to the mountains yet but have taken it over so many different terrains. I have the 2022. I installed the Camal ADV brake fix and the Camal ADV ANTI BOBBLE and lowering (20mm) rear suspension links. Love mine it’s taken me home every time.
I would just love get hold of a T7 and have some proper off road adventures, but theres not much legal off road to be ridden in the uk

I shopped around for a long while. Wanting a bike that could do a little bit of everything. T7 and maybe a Desert X were the price ranges i was interested in, Africa Twin was appealing too. But after much research. I put a deposit on a new Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. About $8000 over a Desert X in my economy. Fact is, by the time you put crash bars and heated grips and seat and adjustable windshield on a T7. Youre looking at a serious price tag well beyond $20,000. And youre still lacking all the technology of the Tiger. Quick shifter is aftermarket, Half the power. A less then adequate suspension with minimal adjustability. A terribly uncomfortable seat. No passenger accomodations unless you want the person sitting in total discomfort. The tubed wheels. So on and so forth.
So i figured this will be a bike i own for the next 10 years minimum. Do i want this T7 for $15,000. With no accessories. A bike thats going to need money dumped into it to really get what i want, itll never have the highway power, or the cruise control. Or do i spend $29,000 and get the bike that has LITERALLY EVERYTHING, Even way longer maintenance intervals.
Its a no brainer. Take on a bit of a bigger payment and enjoy the next 10+ years without compromise.
Bikes are so expensive now, but I do partially agree with you. The only problem is how quickly tech becomes redundant…. I mean will there still be software updates for our bikes in ten years or will they look like Nokia 3210 phones by then?
This is why I compared the T7 to a old Transalp, similar tech at a fraction of the cost

I had the MT09, touring Around South Africa, but here is the thing, our roads are maintained by "previously disadvantaged people", who intend to share their disadvantages bringing ruin to many more roads - especially municipal roads in small towns. So I had to straighten the rims more than once and felt sorry for my bike. The T700 is more expensive, and I had to make a few ergonomic changes. Its obviously heavier, slower and less sexy than the Tracer MT09, but its hard to damage it on bad roads. Also, its nice to have the option to do gravel.
If I lived in civilisation, I would have stayed with the MT09... but then, I'm not civilised.
Fair comments 👍 I loved my tracer 900 too, fantastic bike I did over 30k touring on it but in roads around Europe, the T7 is a better choice if off road is needed

I think there is no point bying this bike for road turing mainly. Center of gravity is high and 2 cylinder engine not great. I would go 4 cylinder, smaller tires, something like Versys 1000, much nicer experiance.

Pleased to hear your loving yours, that’s all that really matters, all bikes are subjective and as you said above, you have to own one to have real long term experience with it. My video is just a quick opinion of the bike I rode
I have loads of vibration problems with mine. Working with the dealer to try to find the cause. Happens under load when moving, disappears when the clutch gets pulled in so it’s not tyres or wheels or chain like so many assume. Happens when at a stand still too. As soon as I hit 4000rpm it feels like a tractor. I loved my T7 until the vibration started.

@@fz0716 yeah I’ve got crash bars on mine (outback motortek). The vibration didn’t happen when I first got the bike (put on the crash bars as soon as I got it). Recently the dealer took apart the clutch and rebuilt it (same parts) and the vibration changed quite a bit. Was very high frequency vibration and now it seems to have reduced in frequency but it’s still there. Says to me it could be a quality control issue on the build of the engine. I still love my bike and will never part with it but hope I can find the cause.
