I am a former USAF F-16 Crew Chief with over 10 years of experience. If you ever need any advice please feel free to ask any questions. The 100% oxygen switch is used in case of a rapid cabin depressurization above 10,000 feet. It is also used whenever the EPU is operated (or ground tested) to ensure that no hydrazine exhaust, smoke, radioactive fallout, and chemical or biological contamination is inhaled by the flight crew in the event of potential cabin contamination. It is strictly part of the pilot’s oxygen mask system. I also noticed that many descriptions on the functionality in several of the left console panel switches, knobs and lights were incorrect in light of how the actual aircraft operates. I would be happy to relay any information on the functionality of the real F-16. Cheers!

That is not correct about the oxygen system. As a crew chief, you should know that is required for pilots to use 100 percent oxygen after long night drinking binges in order to reduce hangovers.

The main drawback of the F-16 is that it isn't carrier capable. Did you know that it actually was supposed to be at one point? Back in the 70s when it was still on the drawing board, the DOD wanted the F-16 to basically be the next Phantom. an all-purpose multi-role fighter that the Air Force, Navy and Marines could all use. The Falcon was considerably cheaper and its small size gave the impression that it be the perfect carrier based fighter. However the main issue was that the Falcon's undercarriage would often scrape the flight deck during landing tests. Plus the Navy was already invested in (and in love with) the Horn... I mean Wagner Mobile project.

This is the coolest thing I've seen in years. I beg a moment ... I'm a Southern US guy listening to a fellow from the UK Isles describe a US Fighter Aircraft's controls with the assistance of another US person (neutral accent) as a reference. The last Fighter Combat Sim I played was Jane's F-15 Strike Eagle in around 2000. I'm working to catch up to these new sims ... they're simply amazing in detail and folks briefing on them in videos is / are 'giving back' to the Sim community is a very noble way.
After buying an HP Omen 40L just to run this game ... a ton of money sunk in peripherals and a ton of frustration, I think I might actually be 'getting it.'
Please accept the most sincere thanks of an old '80s sim player.

Hi CAP, just wanted to explain a couple of other things that I didn’t point out in my earlier comments.
    - A&B HYD systems are not redundant with the exception of the flight control system. “A” system provides hydraulic power to the three systems deemed absolutely critical for landing: flight controls, speed brakes and the fuel flow proportioner (FFP).
“B” system provides hydraulic power to all other hydraulically actuated components (even the landing gear and wheel brakes). Additionally, the EPU provides hydraulic power to “A” system ONLY during emergencies (as well as 10KVA electrical power).
    - The Manual Pitch Override switch only provides additional pitch down deflection of the horizontal stabs during a potential stall. This is referred to as “Kick”.
    - The JFS starts the engine by using rotational force (not compressed air) via the Accessory Drive Gearbox (ADG) and PTO shaft which powers the engine driven gearbox and rotates the engine’s compressor section. The JFS turbine is initially rotated by the Hydraulic Start Motor (HSM) which is hydraulically driven by “pressurized” hydraulic fluid from the two JFS/brake accumulators. These accumulators also have a nitrogen pre-charge to force the hydraulic fluid out. Start 2 is almost exclusively used by pilots as it is in their startup checklist and emergency start checklist in flight. Start 2 was also standard procedure in our technical orders for maintenance engine runs when I served.
    - MAX POWER switch was originally designed to be used with the Pratt & Whitney F100 series of engines. It resets engine parameters and allows higher core temperatures, hence higher thrust and speeds in certain combat situations. However, its use required a special engine inspection afterward.
    - I just wanted to point out that the EPU in not a rocket motor. It has a decomposition chamber instead. It uses H-70 (a mixture of 70% hydrazine and 30% water) as fuel. When actuated, H-70 flows under pressure from its tank into the decomposition chamber and over a catalyst bed. The reaction with the catalyst produces a great amount of heat, as well as hydrogen and ammonia. The H-70’s water also flashes into steam and the resulting exhaust spins a turbine which powers the EPU’s electrical generator and hydraulic pump.
    Cheers!

The landing gear down lock permission switch can only be operated to prevent the landing gear from inadvertently extending while in the air. It does not work when raising the gear, therefore the landing gear will not collapse on the ground if you raise the landing gear handle because the landing gear have a weight on wheels (WOW) switch and when the aircraft is on the ground the WOW switch is engaged and will prevent the landing gear from retracting.

Civilian and military aircraft all have the ADI and its also known as the artificial horizon! This gauge is the one you must trust and use while flying/landing Day or Night in bad weather, foggy conditions and heavy overcast sky’s. The ADI helps pilots know were the ground is with little to non existent visual references out side the cockpit, and aids the pilot in knowing the attitude of his/ her aircraft in relation to the ground and over head airspace. Pilot trainees military and civilian are all told trust this gauge in conjunction with ground based ILS systems and air traffic controllers while flying in adverse weather conditions.

And when you're in severe IFR conditions at night, and EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BEING is telling you that your aircraft is banking hard left, but your ADI stubbornly insists you're straight and level, BELIEVE THE ADI!!!! Your body (inner ears) are lying to you. Once you stop trusting the ADI and start trying to use your ears to find 'level', you're in for a terrifying experience you may not live thru. I was lucky enough that my lack of experience and poor decision making which led up to this point didn't cost me my life, but others haven't been. I thank my lucky stars almost every day for seeing me thru that flight.

Normal and 100% on your O2 allows you in Normal to use some ambient air mixed with your mask o2 so that you are not using your bottle exclusively. You can stretch your o2 onboard supply.
When in 100% you are using only bottle air and is for situations when no ambient is acceptable (smoke) or you need the maximum ox saturation possible.

I find the manual ROLL trim implemented via the HOTAS trim hat , or the manual trim wheels is WAY to 'coarse' . If you fire one missile so you need to trim back level it is impossible to achieve a neutral no-roll trim using the trim hat, You always end up with some degree of roll. (Same problem in the A10). However if you instead set the ROLL TRIM axis binding to a suitable axis (I use the INCR/DECR slider on my Warthog Throttle) and tune the axis response to a very flat/gentle curve (reduce the Y saturation) then it is easy to properly trim to eliminate roll.

They will also write on what equipment the crypto is for e.g the UHF has this crypto, Link16 has this, VHF etc etc.

AFAIK, the HUD FLIR feature was present on lantirn equipped jets , this was especially useful on vipers with the WAR hud (block 40) ,our block 50 does not use the lantirn . the LITENING and SNIPER lack NAVFLIR capabilities
also no Missile warning system or terrain following radar (TFR page) .
also, the white slots below the KY-58 are places are supposed to be written to help the pilot remember details of the loaded crypto keys , there are up to 6 of them,
the upper left switch (mode) can be used to select Plain (p) cipher (c) load (ld) and receive variable (rv) for remote loading
the upper right switch enables loading or zeroizing of registers (you have to use the ld mode)
the lower right is the ON OFF or TD mode (td stands for time delay)
finally you have the volume rotary (self explainatory)
and the fill port, where you plug in your fill device (an external hand-held unit that holds the classified cryptographic variables) in order to load the keys into the system.

Nitrogen is normally used in an OBIGGS system to bring the oxygen concentration in Fuel tanks to below 9% on military combat aircraft. An OBIGGS system will extract Nitrogen from the Bleed Air supplied by the engine. I worked at company that made OBIGGS and OBOGGS Nitrogen generators. OBOGGS systems extract Oxygen from the bleed air. OBOGGS: Onboard Oxygen Gas Generation System & OBIGGS: Onboard Inert Gas Generation System.

+Grim Reapers The Oxygen thing has to do with the partial pressure of oxygen in a low pressure environment since youre not in a pressurized cockpit you will need to breathe pure pressurized oxygen if you are above 24 000 feet I think it was. If you are considerably lower, as in a typical combat scenario you would most likely be fine breathing just normal 21% oxygen content. I would like to think it would even be rather unhealthy to do so for prolonged periods if not needed.

chrome4096 I am a former F-16 Crew Chief and I can tell you that the aircraft cockpit IS PRESSURIZED. The 100% oxygen switch is for the pilot’s oxygen mask, not the cabin. It is only used when operating the EPU system to ensure that if any hydrazine exhaust enters the cockpit the pilot will be safe by breathing pure O2 through his mask and also in case of a rapid cabin depressurization above 10,000ft so that he does not become hypoxic. Bottom line is that the 100% O2 switch flows pure oxygen through the pilot’s mask only.

Some MP servers are hot and some cold start. Just press the "autostart" button and it starts the planes for you.

You're going to press List, then zero, then three.
It'll say the parts or systems and their respective OFP.

Oxygen is poisonous in high concentrations, hence you would normally not want to use 100% oxygen in normal circumstances.

The criminal scheme brought Zinaida Andreevna good profits for a whole year and a half. The pensioner regularly visited tuberculosis dispensaries and met people in queues to see a doctor. An elderly woman quickly rubbed herself into the confidence of patients. She convinced sick old people that her aunt worked as a doctor in a dispensary and through her it was possible to arrange a good apartment as a property. The resourceful Zinaida Andreevna at the same time added that for heavenly conditions you need to pay from 1.5 to 3 million rubles. People, struck by the old woman's charm, found money somewhere and transferred it to the old woman's account. And the pensioner cashed deposits and disappeared.
