As an A-10 crew chief, I’ve wanted this literally the entire time I’ve been playing DCS. Would be amazing to have!!
Hey! A fellow Crew Chief! Always good to see more on DCS. I would make one for all the airframes, but I don't know the ground side of any except the 16.
@@BogeyDope Got a Discord? I’d love some help if I need it with the specifics of working with Voice Attack if you’d be willing!
@@jacksonbryantfilms Send me your discord name. My e-mail is BogeyDopeActual@gmail.com
Ty for your service chief, I chief the phantom
@@BogeyDopety brother
This deserves to be the benchmark. Well done.
Outstanding work. It felt very natural. Would love to also have it for the Strike Eagle. Maybe a current/former SE maintainer will be so motivated.
F-35A Crew Chief myself, glad we're getting mods like this. I know a buddy of mine that will love this since his daily driver is the 16. Good stuff.
F4E chief Ramstein Germany 81 to 83, ty chief
I served as P.C. in the Navy on the Hornets A thru D
VFA-106 Gladiator, I love DCS. Thanks for the cool video.
As a SE chief, I am gonna have to figure out how to do this for my beloved bird!
HEY! A fellow Crew Chief! Always good to see more of us on DCS. Do you have a discord account? If so, I would love to work with you on that. Feel free to e-mail me your discord name at BogeyDopeActual@gmail.com
Really cool. Great job and thank you! Hope Eagle Dynamics adds some more chief animations. Would be cool to see him moving around and under the plane during the checks
Incredible. Coming from a current F16 crew chief, well done!
Hey!!! Another fellow Crew Chief!!! Always good to see more of us on DCS!!!
That's awesome. Still remember this and I haven't done it in about 20 years.
Wow ... This mod should be official !
Anything that adds to the illusion is an excellent feature to utilise, all these small parts add up together greater than the sum of their parts. Thanks B.D for your time on this and the guidance for the voice attack importing / use. As well as thanks to the guys who work on the Mods / Missions and share their work.
My instructor in Egress would grill you alive if you said "Spider handle down" (11:02). That was a nono for us to do. He used to throw the seat initiator cartridges at us when we said "spider handle".. good instructor
Hmm. That's what I always called it and every guy I worked with called it. Must be a crew chief thing?
@@BogeyDope I believe our CC also said Spider handle, while Egress/weapons were yelling at them. It's been a while tho
Love how this is something that has been requested of ED, they know they want to do it... but have their hands full and already behind on the SC module. Leave it to the community to fill the void.
Even VTOLVR has voice recognition haha
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what ED does with it. I know they've mentioned wanting to do more, and the new models and animations are great. It would be really cool to see them add more dynamic crew members who actually move around the aircraft doing different things. Loading weapons or fuel could be cool, though I imagine tough to add for all of the planes.
@@aaronwhite1786 I have mentioned how dead airfields feel and that there really isn't any life to them. Support crews, vehicles, and such would vastly improve the quality of life
@@DoradoFeverCompletely agree! I'm hoping ED adds even more support vehicles and objects.
I've been making a little mission of my own to try and learn more scripting stuff like MOOSE and Skynet, and what I try to do is make the bases feel a little more in use.
The mission is a hypothetical war where Russia backs Abkhazia and South Ossetia with air support and SAM coverage, while the two countries launch their own ground assault with artillery support and mobile SAM/AAA coverage.
It's been a fun mission to throw together, but I really wish the helicopter bases I was throwing together on abandoned airfields looked a little busier and full of stuff, so it really looked like a multi-national base that was constantly refueling and rearming helicopters as they returned from missions.
Great Job, BogeyDope and Biwi you did an amazing work together to bring to DCS more ground crew interactions, it sounds amazing.
Biwi made me listen the audiotape’s throughout the development, to have feedback, and yes that's it ! it is released ! I can't wait to start using it to its full potential.
Well done, thank you again both of you !
thanks buddy !
I mean ...are you kidding me?! This is out of this world, respect! Purchased the same minute I've seen it! What an amazing 10 bucks deal in my life-the best money spent ever Gents! Appreciate your work and knowledge, learned so much out of this one. Will keep supporting these and hope it'll keep coming. All the best and have a good one!😎🤠👍👏💪🤝
@@jernejs.kalsek7385 what are you talking about this is free ! XD
@@charlesmagrin6260 I believe he's referring to Voice Attack. You can download it and use the free version, but you're limited to only 20 phrases. It is $10 to purchase the full version of Voice Attack.
As a F4E crew chief I'm excited to see this.
I have voice attack and appreciate your work..
Ty and Salutes
Awesome video ! We need attention to detail like this ! Thankyou for your work 😊
Thank you for your service, I learned you were a chief. I was at Ramstein 81 - 83 maybe we crossed paths...
Happy Skies Chief
Very cool. I love how far DCS has come and how much I'm looking forward to its future. As a former Harrier PC we rarely plugged into the jet to talk, we primarily used hand signals. I'm sure most Crew Cheif / PC's did the same most of the time.
Loved the video man! Now all we need is a crew chief who actually does everything you described. Showing us the EPU pin holding us, and marshalling us out. Really excited to try this out. Funny you mention the channel 1 channel 2 thing because I had a pilot do that to me the other day and it threw me off for a quick second.
Agreed, would love to have this for the F-15E.
Incredible immersion and attention to detail! This really takes me back. I was a Block 40 crew chief at Aviano and at Luke, 2003-2009.
I was at the 62nd at Luke in 03.
I drive past Luke several times a week. Hardly any Vipers left there now.
Ramstein Germany 81 to 83 chief the f4e
@@BogeyDope86th TFW, 526 FIGHTER INTERCEPT SQUADRON, 526 AMB. ACFT NO. 68-0264
@@9HighFlyer9 yeah, I've been told the 62nd is an F-35 squadron now.
I imported it into my current F-16 profile, works great! very smart programming. Thank you!
This is just freaking awesome, man!!! I will try this out!! This needs to be in ED module, you have done amazing job. This is a benchmark! Thank YOU! 🥃😎
This is great! I'll definitely try this out in BMS too. The only thing missing for that purpose are chock removal and angry noises as I request you pump up the JFS reservoirs!
This is pure gold! Thanks for that! I was messing with VA 1-2 years ago, wanted to have the F14 RIO commands. I bought everything needed. Unfortunately due to my accent VA did not recognize my voice in a lot of cases which was fustrating, so I abandoned it. But maybe this will give me an another push to give it a try again.
Beside, even if we do not use VA, this video is just extremely interesting, never knew about the crew chiefs communication. Wish this would be incorporated into DCS.
I'm french and since the first time BD sent me his first version, VA recognized my bloody accent more than 95% of the time, you just want to train your windows speech engine recognition first, but BD's VA profile works like a charm ;)
This is waaay cool. How much more immersive can DCS become? Great job. Maybe there's some way to put the animations of the crew chief taking up positions the way they do on the carriers.
Massun92´s Asset Pack mod is a must have for me. Awesome work with the Virtual Crew Chief, thank you for sharing. I´m one of those who like to fly by the book as possible.
This is awesome, love things like this as it really adds to the immersion in VR especially. New sub 👍👍
Thank you! This is very cool; loved your demo. I bet your Chief gets sunburned without a hat.
Incredible work man. Seriously.
I’m a retired Eagle Keeper out of Nellis. This is pretty cool brother.
Dude, I bought voice attack the other day. Been using this. Not much makes me bust out a spontaneous ear to ear grin, but this did, using it haha. Good stuff 👍
This is outstanding! Thank you. And amazing for including Viacom option.
I’m assuming there are differences between airframes? Having other former crew chiefs collaborate on frame specific startups would be cool but, time and energy. Respect and very appreciative of your work on this. “Keep up the fire.”
Yes, each airframe is an entirely different ground procedure for launch. This is specifically for the F-16 as I do not know any of the ground procedures for any other airframe.
Literally at Sheppard right now, got a few more weeks left! This is super cool man
The neverending ballad of the canopy clamps
Someday
ex 2A353 here with the Nickel. Love the video and a huge fan of DCS. Also The "Stand by Chief" brings it back
It's been 30 years since my many many Viper launches as a CC, but you pretty much nailed it as far as the CC interactions with the pilot during launch. Although I did notice you left the brakes in chan 2.
Yeah. I forgot quite a few things. Been a long time. I need an accurate checklist. Good to see another fellow DCC on here!
@@BogeyDope A long time???? From my perspective yours has been just weeks ago.. Remind me to tell you about the nightmares I have about ventral panel screws.. LOL
@@That_Stealth_Guy Yep Ventral panels take forever. So do the clam shells. You have double the time away that I have. It's only been 15 years for me.
omg.... this just made my day! Gonna figure this out and use. Thank you!!
As an f-16 crew chief as well this is awesome to see
hey Chief...pizza and beer for you and the crew is on me tonight!
awesome work! I would have got someone else to maybe demonstrate it I was a little confused when chief was talking because its you talking to recorded you lol thanks for the mod super sweet hopefully we can get some more aircraft for it :)
I used to be Flight Line Avionics and then back shop (AIS) in real life. Thank you for your Service Bogey Dope!
Dude!!! Love it!
Current DCS player and Former F-16 Crew Chief.
Hey! Always good to see more fellow chiefs on DCS!
Thanks for this run down memory lane-USAFE 85-89 F-16/F-4 43171. Proud of you, Brother...
Great stuff, I serve in the german military. Awesome mod, guys like you makes DCS relastic. Thanks for your time and passion.👍
Good stuff. Will be using this.
Excellent work. Now I’m here thinking it could use some variation, maybe throw a 5 green redball for fun.
This is absolutely awesome. Thankyou so much for all your work for the DCS community
Thanks for this. I appreciate it.
@@BogeyDope thankyou for all your hard work and awesome content. We appreciate you and all the other contributors that go towards making DCS what it is
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you!
I absolutely loved watching every second of this video. Matches perfectly what my F-16 crew friend used to explain. Thanks for this great work. Addtion: He was also mentioning AAR systems check if the flight is supposed to do AAR.
Yes. It was fairly rare for me. The day to day usually didn't include it. If they were gonna hit the tanker or if they were going TDY, we would have them open the aar door and then close it during the launch.
Hey! I just added AAR door check to the virtual crew chief. Just re-download the file and replace the vcrewchief folder and reimport the VA profile. "Ready for refuel door check"
@@BogeyDope Oh that's wonderful :) thanks for the hard work. Cheers!
ED should model you as a crew chief ... & add the canopy locks animation
That would be awesome.
Great seeing Crew Chiefs in dcs, I’m a C-130J Crew Chief always cool seeing the job I do everyday in DCS
Excellent work BD!! So cool.
Well done sir! Thanks for this mod.
This is very dope. I was hoping for that marshalling and maybe with a dance as easter egg followed by salute as you taxi. But I'll take this.
I made an 'warning armed aircraft' sign a few years back.
What an awesome idea, thank you!
Nellis Crew Chief here, this was so sick to see after years of being cross trained to 35s. This is dope, great job dude
HEY! Always good to see other Crew Chiefs in DCS!
Awesome content. Thank you so much brother ❤
My husband dated a USAF crew chief for a while. 5'4", athletic, blue eyes, long blonde hair, pretty barbie girl (his type). Her favorite part of the day was to dash in under the jet to pin the hydrazine for Viper drivers to allow engine shut down.
This is really cool. Didn't even know "Voice Attack" was a thing!
finally the jet guys also get something good for voice attack, not only the rotary guys^^ great work, thank you alot for your work on that. u doing a great job.
Your now my Virtual Viper Demo Crew Chief , Thank You!!
Tag me in your next launch. I would love to see it!
Outstanding. That's awesome.
Hey Bogey Dope,! Great video. Also, if you didn’t know, VA has push button to listen. I believe that would deconflict the issues you mentioned in regards of crew chief constant listening.
BAH! Didn't realize that. Yeah that would be good too.
@@BogeyDopeI assigned it to the UHF button on the throttle. Works great.
And thank you for the immersive mod - it should be an integral part of the official DCS software.
time to refresh my english 😁 from a former NCO to another NCO, great work 🫡
This is DOPE BOGEY!!! Thank you!😁
5:42 that “yes sir” bro sounds sad that you aren’t talking to him 😂
Also I would love an Easter egg dialogue of the crew chief roasting a s’more (yeah I get it isn’t realistic but it is still funny)
I was an F-15E Crew Chief, this is awesome.
Just like I remember it when I launched US Navy Vipers in Fallon Great Job!
OOOO The HOT ROD 16s. I thought I read that they pulled pretty much everything that wasn't essential out of those so they were REALLY light weight. Pilots said they were like a hot rod version of the F-16 because they were so light and nimble.
@@BogeyDope what you heard was all correct As and Bs with pretty much a radar wings and a engine
NOW I see why they call you BOGEY DOPE! 👍🏾
I hope a future update implements a subtle ball tap at the fire bottle or even a marshal dance 😂
This is awesome!! 🤘
Very cool. Especially from someone who did it in real life.
Your use of headsets is the best on YT. It sounds just like when I fly a GA plane. How do you simulate that in your vids? Thanks for this vid, your usual excellent "IP-like" tutorials.
Thank you for that. I appreciate it. I use voicemod - www.voicemod.net/
holy, that must have been a shitload of work...thats outstanding work sir, thx for sharing and explanation
this is truly great !
Fantrastic work!
Pretty cool man, next someone should make a COM/NAV troop mod that fully simulates them sitting in the building playing MTG all day 😂
Why oh why would we not want Bogey Dope to be our crew chief. It’s an honour sir 🫡
My mind has been made up. I will begin work on a version for the Hawg this week/weekend. I cannot wait any longer lol
Always wondered what workin a launch was like on the fighter side. Seems a lot more fun... less snacks from aircrew though.
For as small something like this is, it's really fucking awesome!
this is cool, i imagined playing dcs with ground crew, feel realistic
What a rad add on!
This is absolutely fantastic! How did you record the radio effect when you're describing things in the video?
I use voicemod and a custom profile I created.
Great video, and great work on the profile!!! Question: What are you using to get the radio effect on your voice?
I use Voicemod www.voicemod.net/
@@BogeyDope Thank you!
now we need the same for all other aicrafts!
Dope shit man
Amazing, so cool
Now I just need to learn the full startup 😂
As a former 16 crew chief that was awesome!!!!!
Currently training to become a crew chief! (F-16) I play DCS and this is awesome!🫡🔥 362 Crew Dawgs!!! HUUUAAAAAAH!!!
"chow" meaning smashing 4 expired poptarts and a Rip-IT before the IFE calls over the radio.
This is awesome, could really do with an equivalent for the Tomcat or other modules. Or even better a Super carrier enhanced script with F18/14
I wasn't NAVY, but I think carrier ops is all hand signals throughout the entire launch. No comms. I think.
@@BogeyDope yes carrier ops are zip lip, the Hornet is my number 1 airframe although i fly the Viper too, it would be awesome to see this mod for the Hornet for my shore ops. Did you consider doing this for the Hornet? For shore ramp start of course. Thank you gain for this mod!
@@brunofagulha I never crewed the bug so I'm not 100% sure on what the interaction with Crew Chief and Pilot is like in it.
@@BogeyDope fair enough :) thank you for the quick reply and work done so far.
Badass!! Very cool!!!
Thank you
Nice Work!!!!!
Hell yeah! This adds a level of emersion that is just cool af. I am also very picky and careful about using mods in DCS. So many are not stable and will cause crashes and other glitches with the core game. Current Hill is one of the only mod makers (the free kind) that I trust. He doesn't let Jack Shit out to the public without thorough testing. This mod seems at that level. Cool stuff!
Starting my day off with a new BD video is a great way to start.
Saw your use of this a bit in your last red flag video and thought it was very cool.
Will love to install this for myself as well
Definitely needs a version for the hornet!
