WICKED COOL SLED, SHE'S IN KILLER SHAPE FOR THE AGE FER-SHER... WE HAD AN OLE AUTO SKI WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. MY DAD GOT IT ON A TRADE FOR 2 SNOW TIRES. WE RAN-ER 3 YEARS TILL SHE DISINTGRATED. MY BROTHER LIVES IN WOLFBORROW. HE HELPED RUN THE BRANCH LINE. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER THE OLE STEAM ENGINE/ TOURIST RAILROAD THAT USE TO BE THERE... SHOWIN' MY AGE A LITTLE, I GUESS. I JUST SUBBED, LOOKIN' FORWARD TO THE NEXT VIDEO. IN THE MEANTIME I'LL BE CHECKIN' OUT SOME OF THE OLDER ONES... PEACE, FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO...
I would leave it as as survivor. buff it out and leave it. its to nice to mess with. As for the clutch I would shim it up some. You do need some float for the brakes but not that much. They do it for pad ware. That's a really cool sled. I love the oddball sleds that are not at every show.
According to the Winds guys the 100 mph sled used a modified 650 JLO opposed twin. The replica sled they built a few years ago used the mighty 793 Hirth triple that had modern tuned pipes and carbs and porting. With that stacked deck getting 100 was pretty much a done deal. Think stuffing an old school hemi into a kids sled. I guess finding a mint mod 650 jlo twin is impossible today. 😉
Cool sled! Nice work. Checking the timing goes a long way with any of these old engines. Pretty rare to find one that someone else hasnt "adjusted". Thanks for the great vid!!
Im voting for keeping it as it is, shes beautiful 😍!

I love the idea of returning her to her glory
3M 3000 grit pad on a DA air sander. Did my plastic and windshield on my 84 Skandic. Worked a treat. Make sure it’s wet. Buff with wool after.
That is in immaculate condition.
That thing is mint. Some paint to ski and skid would look new
Nice job and that’s in amazing condition! You should have way more subscribers. I love this content and your channel.

Everyone blows up rotax 335’s………except the guys that time them with a dial indicator 👍
nice old sled. leave it original. tradewinds were made in manawa wi. about 15 miles from my place.
No sence in being a trailer queen! Everything can be fixed, just go for it.
I spat my track out 4 times last year.
Leave her alone ,,only original once !! Hobbs next Saturday !!
I’ll be there!
@@NewHampshireVintage watching some of your older videos now as I prep my ice fishing gear ; )...
