Most likely Queens Bath will be closed, but if not be extremely cautious there. Other than that, I'm sure you'll have an amazing trip.

      Thanks for the compliment. This was in the summer. Kauai can be quite different in the winter. You'll want to be careful playing in the water on the north side of the island in the winter. Strong currents kill people every year, no joke. Some of the best hikes are on that side of the island though. Best of luck & please let me know if you have any other questions.

    • @TravelingWilde
      @TravelingWilde  Před 5 lety

      Scott Bennett Thanks for your comment. In October, you’re just getting into the winter months so the waves and currents can be strong particularly on the north shore, so be careful if you get in the water in those locations. If you want to see turtles, you’ll want to arrive early in the morning before the beaches fill up. Be careful if you visit queens bath. Another person just drowned there. Other than that, the place is absolutely beautiful. If I could live anywhere in the world it would be Kauai.

      Scott Bennett yes, I definitely understand that! We are only slightly warmer here in northern Utah right now. It’s always great to get to tropical weather. The other thing I would recommend is to get plenty of fresh fruit as you drive around the island. I especially like the Lilikoi.

    • @ironpaws212

      Joe this is one of the more private areas left on the island, not a lot of people who are casual tourists get there and I would hate to start seeing people blast the location on a platform like this. Next thing you know some idiot will get hurt trying to go down and just generally start to get over run. Don’t get me wrong I always share location with family and close friends when on island but i think it would suck to start seeing people post up on line. At least glad you warned people about its dangers but so many ignore that. You’re right, locals are very upset about all the parking issues. Some people have no respect for the fact that this area is a local housing neighborhood.
