Looks like an eastern cicada killer(Sphecius speciosus) to me. Not surprising you found it in a garden bed as they like to burrow and live in the ground waiting to kill cicadas during their mating season. They are generally regarded as docile towards humans. I’ve had a few in my backyard from time to time. Never did me any harm, even when I mowed over them.

I just found one in my garden. I was so scared to try and kill it, but it was burrowing in the ground behind my rose bushes.

When I walked over to record it, the wasp stopped dragging the tarantula & chased me off. It was crazy.

Isn't Poipu Beach just amazing? Just relaxing in the sun or having a dip in the warm light blue sea, and then at any point a turtle or a seal can come out of the sea. So good that the people there make sure everyone is reminded of this being their beach, they come first.

Yes they do. It's rare, but would NOT feel good. Fortunately the only poisonous Octopus is the Blue Ring Octopus, only found in Australia.
