Angelina makes you believe she is channeling the original artist while still making the song her own. Angelina's musical instinct is off the charts.
Just a 12 year old on her couch with her new mic... killing this song like she's lived a dozen lives. Try playing just the audio of this for someone, and see if they believe you when you tell them they are listening to a 7th grader from Norway. It's hard to even compute.

You know this is about my third time hearing her. She's made a name for herself. I got it.
It's like she came home from school, plopped down on the couch, and decided to crush a blues classic. You know, no big deal. 😄
In this video, she was trying out her new microphone, and showed all her technical and interpretive power! This performance is very impressive! It feels like possession!!

She had just received this microphone for her 12th birthday, so the release date for the video is meaningless.
It's funny that every cover of hers is kept in a different tone, as if she's a different person each time.

I love your reactions to AJ because of many reasons, but I love her rasp and soulful interpretations too, so much! It's wild to me (vast understatement) that a young baby girl from Norway would not only take to American jazz and soul so completely, but execute it with perfect pitch and deep relatedness to the lyrics. No matter how many times I listen to her it amazes me and fills me with the same love of the music that she has. Lots more to hear and see, I'm along for your AJ journey.

She had just received this new mic for her birthday, and as you can see she is singing into it the wrong way round,and still she still sounds absolutely great.
Knowing how many hours she has used microphones I seriously doubt it was an “accident” that she used this mike backwards, I could be wrong but think she had experience with a Neuman mike and it was probably the reason she got one for her birthday...she’s a seasoned musician and not just a 12 year old playing around, I don’t think there is anything involving music she does by “accident”.

Now that she is putting out professional videos I miss her waving hello and bye to us. We've watched her grow up singing from age 7 until now. She is an awesome talent and a kind loving human being. She does a great job here as a kid but you should listen to Beth Hart and Joe Bonomassa version, you love it

This shows you just how much she loves Billie Holliday. She is reading the lyrics off her phone while listening to her grandmothers direction....and she sounds AMAZING!!
