  • This sick 2010 Hyundai Sante Fe 3.5 was experiencing check engine light a P200A bank 1 performance. I used the scan tool to check bidirectionally to see if the VCM was working and used a scope, it was working good. My next step was to remove the upper and lower intake to see if in fact the flaps were broken off, they were. Part 1 is disassembly and Part 2 will be the reassembly. I appreciate the support as always.

Great video tutorial. I watched both this and the previous one before doing the same job and your video definitely made it easier! Thank you!

Hola, el día de hoy compré una Hyundai Santa Fe y tiene el error P200A, ahora como se es la pieza que estás cambiando ó el módulo que la mueve

Great video. Where did you find the torque specs?

does the actuator on this model move by hand, like the previous models do (the one where the motor sticks out perpendicular to the actuator)?

Hello, today I bought a Hyundai Santa Fe and it has the P200A error, now how do I know it is the part you are changing or the module that moves it?

You’ll have to test it to see. I used a scan tool with bi directional controls. You could prob use a jumper wire to engage the solenoid from the battery. If you are mechanically inclined, I would just take the intake off and follow the steps. I put remove the lower intake and see if it is. 9 out of 10 times if you are getting that error it’s definitely bad.

The dealer says to replace the valve position sensor part no. 351753C000 also. Do you agree?

I tested mine so I didn’t, I would test it and then decide. If you do tho I would not buy any aftermarket parts for your engine
