I totally understand why this lovely woman was chosen as designer of the year! Her design ideas are fabulous, and her personality is so pleasant! ❤
You can see why Colette is the designer of the year. Beautiful work and personality!
She’s so relatable and if she was my decorator I feel like we’d have so much fun!
She really is. This was a wonderful interview.
Love seeing a Canadian designer pushing our pallette and design sensibilities to the next level ❤
Aside from creativity and wisdom in her profession, what's inspiring with her is really her passion and joy in what she is doing. 😉💖
I love everything about the work this designer did in this home. Great interview!
I watched the prior video showcasing this home and wanted to learn more as I was extremely drawn to this living room. To my surprise, Colette mentions here that her design was inspired by the Villa Necchi which I was very taken with after seeing Luca Guadagnino's "I Am Love" years ago. The film was set in that very villa. The entire project is just flawless. Congratulations on your honor!
Wow this house was/is amazing! I am relieved to see personality, color, depth and texture. It is about time! I would label or classify this style as established.
It makes sense that she worked in Europe before, you can see on the way everything is relax, beautiful and comfortable at the same time instead of all put together. Congratulations 🎉 👏🏼 very well deserved.
That floor is like Spain to me and I love it.
Thank you for this interview video. So inspirational. I love her work on this house.❤
Like this lady .. love her talents.. congratulations on your award.
Linda you asked the right question. I don’t know how to articulate what I want to a designer. “ You can’t just say eclectic.”
OMG, the floor and the green! Just beautiful!
Love her design. And Lynda, so good to see you...
Love it when Linda does an interview! Awesome job ❤
She's an absolute brilliant designer. I can't imagine not feeling comfortable in any of her designs. There is something very old world about her.
A fresh take on old world, for sure! ❤
Colette may have brought her NA superpowers to Europe, but the opposite has also happened. She definitely has brought those European vibes back home. This home is my ultimate favourite with H&H.
First designer who mentions the CLIENT firs off-BRAVA!
Fabulous interview
Bravo! Well done!!
Love the windows.
Great idea on flooring on the ceiling. Would love to do this. However, did they actually cover the large celing beams also in flooring? The lengths would have to be longer than flooring is sold in.. If anyone knows.. let me know :) Great video and very original design and house.
A well deserved award! This designer has such great taste and style. And not pretentious at all! I can’t say as much for the interviewer. She seemed like she wanted to steal the show and was the epitome of pretentious, in my opinion…
Congratulations to the designer. I really wish the person interviewing her would let her talk and express her own ideas more. I found the interviewer would lead too much and often inform the guest’s answers. I wanted to hear the designer and not the interviewer. Plus, the interviewer seems to have a hoarse voice which detracts from listening pleasure.
❤❤❤

Take a shot every time she says, "um"
While the room is interesting, I would need a crane to get me up and off of that low sofa. Even Lynda’s knees are practically in her chest, not what I want in my social space.
Please help children of Gaza ! 😭😭😭✌🏻🇵🇸🇵🇸
Here I am trying to save up for a bouclee chair but all the designers is already done with it 😢
Do it anyway. The material looks so cosy. Anyway, she later said that there is always a place for it...just don't over do it and fill your space with it
Maybe you’ll be able to find one someone is ready to depart with, at a deep discount
Buy what you love! Not what someone tells you to buy!
Just PLEASE quit saying UM every other word…and YOU KNOW…….you would be so much more approachable and more PROFESSIONAL….thank you
