Off idle throttle response is very good! Dont let the 2500-7500 fool ya. You can run this on the street no problem!

      AND HEADERS! W/O headers that are really right for your build, and the highest quality stainless steel materials, and ceramics if you can at all afford that, the power gains from your headers and the life of your units will be NOWHERE near your engine's potential. So, its FOUR things you have to match carefully and properly...

    In any V8 build what you want the most of is Torque, If you're going to run dual-plane you might as well spend a bit more on the nicer "Performer RPM, Air Gap" style intakes.

    What happends if you use a camshaft from a 350 marinengine with a singleplane intake. (torker 2) I guess the marinecamshaft works better on lower rpm's and the intake on higher rpm's. It would be fun to try it. I have 2 engines to try it on one 305 and a 350. I also have different heads to try , 601 461 , 882...

      Warm it up and run a compression test. If you have a cylinder down on compression put a couple squirts of oil in then recheck if it comes up you have a ring problem if it stays the same you got a valve train problem meaning check springs and push rods and also you might have a flat lobe on the camshaft. Just a couple things for you to check but a new intake is going to add to your problem just saying Thanks get it powered up!

      I usually recommend Edelbrock performer RPM intake manifolds for street applications. I would use part number 7531. I prefer Holley carbs, and depending on what size your engine needs the Holley Street Avenger series is a great choice.
      We do sell fuel tanks and cells, but I don’t know what kind of car you are working on. As far as AMC products we likely don’t have a bolt in replacement.

    • @redneckswitwheels

      Not always..... 1st ur motor needs to have a good foundation to work from. Throwing parts won't make it run better. Second dont over do it. Bigger isn't better. The carb size needs to work with the intake,cam and motor work it already has. If its a stock 2barrel well it will run if u change out the carb n intake but a cam change is what it will really need to wake her up. This is only my opinion, my opinion isn't law but its what works for me so far.

      why fight fate? It’s just a stock good wrench 350 from the 80s it’s only got like 2000 miles on it but with the gearing it’s got I think it’s 4.10 gears and a 2 speed with it being so light it smokes the tires I hear from a lot of people an intake will give you a noticeable power/torque increase

    • @michaelbenardo5695
      @michaelbenardo5695 Před 2 lety

      @@redneckswitwheels FACTS. IF the 2 barrel vs 4 barrel is on otherwise the same engine, swapping a 2 for a 4 barrel will give you a good boost, but if the 4 barrel engine has a hotter cam and/or bigger ports/valves, then a stock 4 barrel may not work well. You might run out of vacuum when you floor it and open the secondaries, then it will lean out, killing torque.
