If money wasn’t an issue i would go with the Tempur Cloud or Purple Harmony, they seem like they would be a dream to sleep on. The Cushion Lab Ergonomic seems like it would do a real good job for my neck pains and the price is just right. I like that it comes on two firmness options and that you have two different lofts to work for all sleeping positions. I think cervical and contour pillows are the only kind that really help with bad neck pains. I might just get one since they’re so cheap. Still searching for the perfect pillow. Thanks, Katie. Can you do a video for a good pillow for shoulder pain? Also how high on the pillow should your head and shoulders rest on the pillow for the best alignment?
Hi! I'm looking for a pillow for myself that is more green/earth friendly to resolve my neck pain and general feelings of soreness/not rested in the morning. I recently tried both of the avocado pillows and they made the pain even worse. I've been sleeping on an original Purple pillow but it's not cutting it. Any recommendations? Did you try the Coyuchi pillow?

Hi Katie (Mattress Clarity), this is very helpful, although I've read multiple of your reviews and there are so many great choices such that it's hard to pick one so I figured maybe if I narrow down my situation you might have a specific recommendation. I am 6"3 and 180 lbs with a slender 4-5 inch long neck (6.5 inches between neck and shoulder) and I have chronic neck pain (which I am sure my pillow and sleeping position contributes to) and try to sleep on my back but often end up rolling to my side and then on my stomach (when I wind up on my stomach I wake up with neck pain). Any specific recommendation for my situation?

If you experience neck pain chronically and the pain radiates down your arms or it feels as if you can't rotate your head properly please see your Dr. Don't assume it's because you're using the wrong pillow.

I have bulging discs in my neck I need to find something better. I have been using the bamboo pillow and I wake up with pain everyday. What do you suggest?? I am a side sleeper.

What would I go for if I tuck my arm under the pillow? I would say I am between side and stomach sleeper somthing in between(I sleep on my side but tend to lean on to my stomach a bit) There are pillows marketed as arm pillows with an arm hole or a tunnel. Any thoughts on my condition. The neck and shoulder pain is horrible! I'v tried tempur pillows and down pillows

I love down pillows but I know they probably aren't the best for my neck pain, but I still love them and don't like the feel of foam too well. But the spine align looks very interesting.

back pain could be a mattress issue that isnt supporting the contours of your back which could effect your pillow either making your head tilt up or down depending on firmness.

Any chance I can get a pillow recommendation? I've had chronic neck and shoulder blade pain on my left side ever since a car wreck two years ago, and it just so happens that I'm predominantly a left-side sleeper. I do find myself occasionally sleeping on my right side and back, but never on my stomach. I am also a hot sleeper, so breathability is important.

I have bear cooling pillow. Eli and elm side pillow. Tuft and needle pillow. Love them. Comfy but I always wake up with super bad neck and pain :(

How long did you test these
Sometimes my pillow goes flat and my spinal aliment gets off really bad. I want a pillow that doesn't deflate after I lay my head on it and I really like the Purple Harmony for the inner latex (instead of memory foam) and it's ability to keep its shape. But it's a little pricey. But I'm sure it's worth it. I just wonder about the mesh outer cover and how distracting it is up against your face while going to sleep. I had a picture in my head of someone waking up the next morning with a grid pattern imprinted on the side of their face from sleeping on it all night😲☵..haha.
Any updates on your current pillow?
My husband and I have always had regular pillowcases over top of the mesh pillowcase that comes with the Purple. Never any grid lines on our faces, lol!
From what I’ve seen on your videos “Purple” seems to be a common name. I’m a side sleeper and have a fused neck which equals painful, uncomfortable, toss and turn nights. Not to mention sleep apnea. I’ve already spent roughly $800 worth in pillows and yet to find one that helps. Any advise on what to try in the Purple line up or any others? Appreciate the feed back.

I’ve had the old/original Purple pillow since January (10 months) and I have chronic neck pain. My husband loved it so much he was always stealing it so we recently got him one too. I like the Purple’s adjustability and coolness (I am a HOT sleeper). We have a Tempur-Pedic mattress now which has sunk in a bit over time so I am still fiddling with the loft, but having that adjustability helps. I actually needed to take one layer out of mine despite being a side sleeper, and my broad-shouldered husband needed one more layer so it worked out well. I am still hoping my neck pain will improve, but between three slipped discs in my neck and three back surgeries, I’m not too hopeful that much will help my pain anymore. 😢
I am looking for a pillow recommendation for back and side sleeper. I am a petite 5’1 woman that suffers from neck pain. I have struggled with finding a pillow that doesn’t push my head forward when on my back and is lofty enough to adjust to my side. I have tried The COOP eden pillow and the Casper original/ essential. The casper is almost what I need but not quite there for sleeping on my back. The COOP pillow never stays in a good place for me and I have added/ taken out fluff to try and adjust. I am hesitant to try a contoured pillow because I tried one in the past for a couple months thinking I would have to get used to it and it actually made me feel worse. Most pillows just don’t contour to my head either to firm/soft and I just don’t weigh enough to sink in and form the way they are intended. I have watched plenty of videos and read reviews but just can’t seem to find one that is specific for petite people. Please help

I’m a petite in a similar situation like you, looking for a pillow won’t push my head forward and also with good neck support when sleeping on the back. Weird question but from what I have seen from other content creators on the youtubes, side sleepers should have a pillow betweent here legs? and/or a pillor to hug to prevent shoulder pain? Do they make pillow just for those purposes? and if they do maybe a video idea?! :D
Yes and yes, because I have one myself ahah But you can simply put any type of pillow between your thighs (to create a cushion between your knees) and you're good to go. It should help with your alignment and reduce the pressure on your knees!

Hi, Im 6’3 215lbs with broad shoulders. I have about 6-7 different pillows the most expensive being my bamboo and tempur-pedic. I have problems when sleeping on my back the pillows are fine on my side but on my back my chin goes into my chest. Can you recommend a pillow that would work best for me on my back and side?
get a knee pillow or lower the pillow - your head is too high if it's hitting your chin. you should be able to put a pencil on your forehead and have it not roll forward if it is in the proper place. your pillow is too high.
I'm wondering if I were able to buy the harmony pillow would I even be happy with the way it feels while sleeping. Or would I feel better sleeping on the cushion lab pillow.

I've only ever tried one memory foam type pillow and I hated it because it made my ears sore. I'm worried these will do that too. I would love to try a contour pillow for my neck pain but I don't want sore ears either. Help.??

I'm not sure how Dr. Loft pillows sell's at all?? I called them over 40 times and all you get is an answering machine. If you have neck pain the last thing you want to be doing is hovering over a cell phone of laptop looking for pillows to fix your neck pain. If they can't pick up a phone and talk with a potential customer. I could only imagine what it would be like to deal with them via email. My recomendation to Dr Loft is to either stick with being a doctor full time, or fork out a little time and money to hire someone to answer your phone and your side business selling pillows if your going to charge a premium price for your products. I would probally buy one if they did answer the phone. Also to all concerned. Before you purchase any pillow online with great claims to cure all your pings and pangs.. Look into what is causing your neck pain. More than likely , you can solve your problem at the source, instead of buying pillows with such great cure all claims and the neck ache of sending them back.

go see a doctor - probably a sports doctor or a pain management doctor. mine was from bruxism - bad neck pain for years, saw 9 doctors to no avail - a new dentist noticed it... a sleep apnea device and no more neck pain... . cvs has a pain spray that's great on neck pain but it won't prevent the cause just help with the pain. If it's only your neck, no headaches or jaw pain- shrug - talk to your doctor.
I am petite female and 5'2 with neck and shoulder pain. I am a side sleeper and am looking for recommendations for a pillow. Traditional Tempurdepic contour pillows are too stiff and cause ear and jaw pain from the firmness of the pillow. Any suggestions?
