    I have found keeping the top ring really inflated helps with the kids hanging on the side. Inflated and it works great. If it's not fully inflated, they WILL smash down the sides and out comes the kids and the water (only happened once). The ring on my current pool leaks (somewhere ) and needs to be reinflated everyday..but the sides stay up, no water spilling. FYI: I am still using the same pump I bought for my first Intex pool, 8 years ago. I run mine 8 hours everyday (at night) and the only fila is the o-rings rotting. thanks for your video

    I suggest buying a saltwater system. The pump that comes with it is fine, it'll last for at least 2 years, and you don't need chlorine with the saltwater system. I've had the saltwater system for like 2 years now, and it is AWESOME!

    • @lcturnatrax6690
      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 8 lety +1

      thanks for the info. with the saltwater set up do you also have a sand filter with it? starts to add up cost-wise after only spending $200 for the pool! :-)

      Alexwilson225 you say you use the salt water system and the pump that comes with this pool is fine. so i do not need to buy a special pump for the saltwater system? & will you tell me what is the difference with the salt water system ? do you just buy the pool salt & dump it in then you dont need the chlorine tablets ? & how often do you have to add salt? thanks

      the pump that came with it, as small as it is ( the pool is 8' x16') , so the pump works just fine, I clean the filter twice a week, I use 1 chlorine tab a week & 1 clear balance ph tab a week, I just put them in the same floaty ( Wal Mart is the cheapest by far for the clear balance & Amazon is cheapest by far for the chlorine tablets ) & then every 2-3 weeks ( depending on how much toxic mold rain we get ) i shock the pool . I like it to stay sparkling clean & this seems to do the job, it is very easy to keep up. the salt filters are expensive & this one works fine & if i need to replace it, its cheap. but THIS is what is falling into our pools EVERY DAY ALL DAY, because THIS is what the U.S military & the establishment "government" is SPRAYING INTO OUR ATMOSPHERE & IT ALL FALLS DOWN INTO OUR WATER SUPPLIES, OUR FOOD SUPPLIES, INTO OUR SOIL, IF YOU NOTICE THE MOLD ON ALL THE TREES ( MOLD IS EVERYWHERE NOW), so the pool depending on its use has to be shocked every 2-3 weeks , they say once a week , but i am the only one who uses the pool & with changing the filter ( i wash it out & use 1 filter at least 10 times ) . But do check out this article & these documentaries about GEOENGINEERING / WEATHER MODIFICATION - this shit is falling onto our CHILDREN & ITS ALL CARCINOGENS ( cancer-causing ). ------ You are now Breathing Ethylene Dibromide, Virally Mutated Molds, Nano-Particulates of Aluminum and Barium, and Polymer Fibers with Unidentified Bio-Active Material www.geoengineeringwatch.org/you-are-now-breathing-ethylene-dibromide-virally-mutated-molds-nano-particulates-of-aluminum-and-barium-and-polymer-fibers-with-unidentified-bio-active-material/ --- Pilots, Doctors & Scientists Tell Truth about Chemtrails czcams.com/video/DPnWaBsMYnY/video.html ----- Rosalind Peterson: The Chemtrail Cover-Up czcams.com/video/DTxvWLrUeE8/video.html

  • @Gayleegirl

    Can you explain what pieces go inside the pool relating to the filter? Please be specific. I can't find this anywhere online and the directions with this pool are crap. Other than leaving this out, you gave excellent directions. I couldn't for the life of me figure why I had three holes in the pool, two connections on the filter and four pieces of hose. You're the only person who explained this and how to hook it up. Now all I need to know is which pieces go where inside. If you could take a video of your pool from the inside that would really help a lot.

    • @lcturnatrax6690
      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 7 lety

      I'm trying to recollect by memory here. So the filter has plastic tubing that runs into the actual vinyl. I recall 3 holes. And if I recall correctly, you will insert the 3 plastic adapter fittings into the vinyl pool and cover them (from the inside) with the circular plastic filter covers. They should screw on by hand fairly easily. I think that's it. Let me know if it helps.

    • @Gayleegirl
      @Gayleegirl Před 7 lety +1

      Yes, there are three pieces that go on the inside of the pool. Two of them are called a strainer grid. The third one is called a inlet jet nozzle. I need to know which one goes where; i.e., going from left to right. It really doesn't specify in the directions which cover goes where. Mine also came with a fourth hose with some other connector piece which I'm not even sure I need. It says that not all parts may not fit "your model." These directions are clear as mud...lol

    • @lcturnatrax6690
      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 7 lety

      Well, the strainer grids need to go over the 2 parts that suck in the dirty water toward the filter. Those 2 holes and parts should be closer together than the outlet/cleaned water hole. But I don't recall if the outlet part (cleaned water) has a filter grid.

    It may be a while before we set ours back up here in Indiana, but your video was so helpful, thanks. One question that I've seen so many different answers on is WHEN do you use the filter? Most people say while you're swimming, the filter should be on, but should turn it off when you're done. Is this correct information? Also, our pool seems to spread out wide rather than rise up like yours, I wonder if that's how it's supposed to be? There is seam in the middle of the wall of ours that goes all the way around which ends up being at the bottom of the pool.

    • @18pactls51
      @18pactls51 Před 6 lety +1

      Hi there. First about yours spreading wide, it should look like mine. The blue ring filled with air should allow the pool to rise up. So long as the pool is laid out correctly before adding the water, and the blue ring is filled with air, the water will fill the pool and you don't need to do anything. I am not sure how it is spreading "wide" but maybe you need to allow it to keep filling more until it looks like mine. As for the filter use, you will hear folks use it and not use it while swimming. I do not use it while the kids are swimming, just to be safe. I have the filter on a timer running probably 6-8 hours a day (late at night), and when the kids use the pool, I don't have it on. Is it probably safe while they are swimming to keep it on, I think so. But I just don't risk it. That's just me though. Thanks for stopping by!

      Do you have a filter running? If so, you won't need all that much chlorine for a pool that size. I'd start with a 1" tab in a floater and test it every other day with a test strip and go from there. Shouldn't be too complicated. Have fun!

    Due to all public pools being closed because of covid-19, we bought a 12' round Intex pool. Most installation videos or guides say to install it on the grass/ground. Unfortunately, our backyard is not level and is soft and marshy due to water retention issues. We plan to install ours on our concrete patio, but are nervous since very few seem to do that. Have you had any issues with it being on concrete?

      it's very easy. your pool came with small caps, like suction cups. so turn off your pump. then stick your hand/arm into the pool and put a cap onto the hole where the tube is. this will block the water in the pool from going into the tube and pump. do this for all 3 lines. then check your pump/filter. once done, remove the caps and turn your pump back on.

But at the same time - the tabt dissolves and you can close the floater to allow less to dissolve so I am tempted to use them anyway. Help! Hahaha

      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes pretty much. Everyone has different water chemistry but you should be okay just using chlorine tabs in a floater. I use the test strips (one time use, disposable) and it tells me pretty much all I need to know. For me, I didn't have to adjust much apart from using the chlorine and Arm&Hammer Clear Balance tabs (optional).

      Hi Brandi. Well, in terms of how we used it last summer, we loved it and then threw it out after the season (probably 2 months of tons of use). It wasn't all that easy to drain it and dry it and store it. For $185 (+ tax), we threw it out and we're getting another one this summer :-) Love the pool. Kids have so much fun in it. So nice to have a pool in the backyard as it changes the entire dynamic of home life. Fire up the BBQ, kids running around and into the pool, late into the night even. Just fantastic. So update is we're ordering another soon.

    • @lcturnatrax6690
      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 7 lety +1

      It should be pumping water out of one of the 3 lines. I assume you have enough water in the pool so that the 2 other lines are taking in water to the filter, then the filter is pushing out water from that output line? Make sure the water level is high enough so that water is going into the filter from the 2 lines. Otherwise I am not sure what to tell you besides to check the filter itself for any blockage or possibly defect.

      I'm going through the same thing today. I set one up (15X48) last year and I don't remember it being this frustrating. The shape isn't coming together well and the wrinkles are impossible to get out. I just don't remember having those issues last year. :(

    • @lcturnatrax6690
      @lcturnatrax6690  Před 6 lety

      You're not going to get all the wrinkles out. This one we're trying this year is 15x36 (not 15x48) but it's very similar in every respect. We laid out the floor as best we could (me and the kids), and it still has wrinkles here and there. Just do your best and the water should fill fine. How exactly is it not filling and forming correctly? There is only so much you can do.
