Intex Easy Set Pool 15 x 48 Set Up & Ground Prep Install Step By Step

- We finally set up our Intex Easy Set Pool! We had to prep the ground by leveling it first before installing the pool with the Krystal Clear Filter and filling it with water. This pool is so easy to set up once you've gotten the ground levelled, you just have to blow up the pool ring, set up the filter pump then wait for the pool to fill up! I covered the entire installation process in this video step by step, including a timelapse of the pool filling at 400 times the speed.

To level the ground I used:
Metal landscaping edging
stakes (for the edging)
corner stakes (for the edging)
Weed barrier fabric
Mason sand, about 3 cubic yards
scrap wood (1x2's or 2x4's, whatever you have)
level
tape (to attach the level)
shovel
wheel barrow
rake or flat shovel to move sand around

Thank you for posting this! My husband and I just bought our first house, and since it’s too late in the year to have a pool put in professionally, we went with this instead. Our directions and manuals were useless because the parts and pieces were so different than what they sent us. The ground leveling was the hardest as we had to dig a couple of inches into the ground. So far, the sand and chemicals and test kit were the expensive parts. So far, we are $1800 in!🫠😅
Im seriously considering getting this pool, iv had metal frame in the past but they dont hold up too well over the year with the bad weather we get where i live , thanks so mych for ur help

Well intel frame pool worth more than easy set as its look more stylish and durable.Intex easy set only worth only in range 8 feet or maximum 10 feet.Btw your video was really helpful☺️
How much did it cost with all the extras such as sands, tarp etc?
Hey how do you maintain it??? Like chemicals and amounts of chemicals. I just set up the same one, but I've never had a pool or learned how to etc. Please let me know, I want to keep it safe

How many inches of sand did you end up using? Absolutely everything I've researched says to not add sand when leveling the ground. Every instruction I find says that with the easy set inflatable pools, building up with sand not recommended. How did it turn out for you? Thanks!

You're welcome and thank you! We are using it right now for the second summer in a row and it's held up great. I've added a skimmer basket and plunger valves, I shared those videos on here as well, and I just upgraded the pump which I'm getting ready to share on here. It works fine with everything it comes with but I've discovered those few things just make it a little easier to maintain. I'm planning on using it again next year as well. I didn't expect it to hold up this well, being as cheap as it was.
Super helpful! We plan on getting the same size pool so this helped a TON. What type of garden edging did you use?
Thank you! I can't remember the exact name of the edging but I can tell you I bought it at Home Depot. It's these metal pieces that are maybe 3 inches tall, they come with a stake on each end that you can snap off and use to secure the edging in to the ground. They also fit together so you can join them to make a longer edge and they have corner stakes to attach at the corners. I did end up needing to buy extra stakes to secure the entire thing. I believe we went with these for a couple reasons, one was because they are just a few inches longer than the width of the pool so we didn't have to make any adjustments to the length. Our pool fit perfectly, leaving a couple inches on each side. I hope that helps, good luck with your new pool! I just finished setting mine back up for its second summer and it's held up great.

My husband and I are thinking about getting one of these pools next Spring( since it's already September.) We're doing our research now since we have some time. I recently found your videos and had a question.
Have you had any issues having sand underneath your pool? It seems like some people really frown upon sand due to possible erosion and movement.

Hi! I personally haven't had any problems with using sand. I was a little lazy this year and didn't spend much time smoothing it back out but it was still fairly level from last year and the pool went back up without any issues. Since we put up a barrier and lined the ground we haven't really had any erosion or run off of the sand. I think it just comes down to how you prep your area. I hope that helps!

I've been getting alot of rain so do you know what is to much water level and what's the best way to lower it?
I feel your pain, I've been dealing with that this summer as well. We've had so many storms hit us.
You want the water line to stay under the inflated ring. If it comes up above the bottom of that ring, it's too high.
The pool has a drain hole that's plugged on the bottom of the side of the pool. It should've come with an attachment that screws into a hose and sticks into that drain hole. You can use that to drain water out into your storm drain. If you do it that way, just keep an eye on it. It drains fast, and you'll want to pull out that hose and close the plug before you lose too much water.
The other option is to just let water drain out of the pump into your yard for a minute until the water level is low enough. If you aren't worried about a wet yard, that's an easy way to get the water level down a little and quickly.

Dimensions for the weed barrier?
15.5'² = 240.25 ft² multiplied by number of layers. She wanted to do 2, so 480.5 ft²
Idk what I’m doing wrong but the top part deflates at night, releasing gallons of water. 😩 HELP🙏🏻
Oh no! It sounds like you have a leak in the top ring... I haven't had to deal with that but there are a lot of videos on CZcams showing how to find the leak. Your pool should've come with a patch big enough to fix at least one small hole. I hope you're able to find and fix it!
Where can I get this bump separately ?
The pump? I know I've seen them on Amazon, I would imagine that Walmart and most other big box stores probably sell it as well (if not in stores then at least online). I believe I linked the pump from Amazon in the description box as well if that helps.

The ring is fine. I’ve owned easy set pools in the past and we’ve always inflated it that much if not more. Never had an issue.
