This helped me out big time, my sportsman 450 was doing the exact same thing and we were chasing our tails trying to figure it out. The fuel pump seemed to b working just like yours so we suspected the injector. After watching this video and reading the comments we bought a fuel pump from the dealer and installed it. It fired up right away and ran like new!

My 450 polaris did same thing. I cleaned my fuel pump out took it apart , and it ran fine. Till kids ran it out of gas. Acted up again so I put new fuel pump in from ebay, worked great now. No cutting out or stalling.

You only buy a polaris once then you get a honda or yamaha. I bought a pair of 570 sportsman 2016 the batteries were too small and in the wrong place the engine heat blows at your legs. The heat shields for the exhaust are not adequate it melts the tail light wires. Just not well engineered at all. Idles too low and stalls all the time. The gear box is like mush. Can’t tell by feel what gear you are in. The good thing is they will be my last polaris. Going back to yamaha as soon as I can.

Fuel pump pressure is low. I think it takes 50 lbs. anything less causes your problem.

I checked my fuel. New spark plug, I cleaned injector, I swapped out parts. Still ran bad. Took my polaris ranger fuel pump out and put it in my 450 sportsman and ran great. So I bought a new pump off ebay. No problems anymore.

Have 16 450 EFI HO Polaris. Never had any issues before. Now won’t stay idle for long. And will lose power when you try driving. I’ve changed the plug, clean air filter. Even changed out the old gas with New.
Maybe you can help me with my problem or anyone else

It was the fuel pump, while it did push a little fuel the psi was not high enough to run the engine

It is the fuel filter, it works but it does not build up to the required pressure

@@thegreenteam6158 Just because a pump works doesn't mean it has good pressure
. Unplug the sensor, it may then start in emergency mode
