Any advice on why the fuel guage doesnt read right? it seems to read opposite of the actual fuel in tank? The fuel pump assembly hookups were on the opposite side of the factory's hookups. maybe that is it?

Excellent how-to! Going to change my pump as soon as my new aftermarket one arrives. 2018 Sportsman 570 with about 300 miles on it. Sometimes cranks 4 to 5 seconds before starting then dies and have to restart but most times starts right up---totally intermittent issue.

I guess I've very fortunate because I hear these stories about Polaris' problems with fuel pumps and mine is just now acting up. Mine is a 2015 570 with 5000 miles and 635 hours. I think it helps to ride it year round and use Polaris gasoline additive and at least 89 octane. Thanks for the great video I just ordered the full fuel pump assembly.

A tip for getting the front plastic off: Stand up like you would riding it, start the plastic over the gas inlet, then pull up and straight back grabbing onto where the storage bin starts.

2015 sportsman 570 touring here. On my 4th pump. If you leave gas in tank even with stabilizer over 6 months the pump dies. You have to ride it more often or remove gas from tank. So had new pump with stabilizer sitting for 6 months. Went out and it started. Added more stabilizer and went out after another 6 months and the pump was dead.

I left the gauge on for awhile with key off and it had dropped to 20psi
