    I absolutely love this! I love your wrestleing look it looks very anime/ comicbook character style :)! I would ware stuff like that just for the shits and gigs lol :). Beacause I love that style. my question tho is, how did you come up with the look and character idea? :)

    • @TilWeMakeIt
      @TilWeMakeIt  Před 3 lety +4

      Thanks Jessica! This newer look was intentionally removed from the "Lightning" look - for the first 12 years or so that I was wrestling, I was Lightning. But once that evolved into "The Master of a Thousand Holds" I wanted to start phasing out the lightning motif, which ran through a LOT of my gear. The gear I've had for the last 4 - 5 years or so is deliberately asymmetrical, and if you look at it, you'll see there is both an M and a Q in the design itself.

      @@TilWeMakeIt @Til We Make It yes I did notice that lol. it's an amazing design i love it :) its very creative:). I gotta ask y did you choose the name quackenbush and whare did you learn all those holds? I myself want to learn those holds they are very effective. I mean I don't know if I'd be able to cause I'm really short 5 foot 2 inches to be exact 😂. but it's worth a try☝️! Wen I saw a video of you useing the holds I was impressed, and I was like I wanna learn those! I never knew that was a wrestling style although I'm still kinda new to the fandom I've been a wrestling fan for about a little over a year and I freaking LOVE it but still have much to learn but what made you wanna learn the holds and who taught them to u? And y did you choose that style of wrestleing? Sorry for all the questions I just love to know these things it fascinates me :) and thank you for being awesome and giving replys and knowledge

    As great as a football player Ernie Ladd was -- he stated for years that if he could have done things over again......he would have ditched the gridiron for the ring immediately after college; because (back then) it was putting a pair of boots & socks and wrestling trunks in a gym bag and working the territories for a nice chunk of change.

    Finding wrestling shoes for wide feet was so hard to the point I ended up buying ringside boxing shoes. They’re firm and they give me great ankle support

    • @matthewgrein2235
      @matthewgrein2235 Před 3 lety +1

      @@TilWeMakeIt the only real difference is that they’re wider. They give great ankle support because they’re a little higher up than wrestling shoes, but your foot is pretty much the same height off the ground. I know Fandango use to wear ringside boxing shoes and Candice LeRae wears them too

    I went with embroidery on my first set of gear. However, eventually once I switch up my attire, I may want to go with a different form of stitching, because the embroidery only works in outlines and is a little expensive for bigger designs. Is there a name for the type of stitch that you see on custom wrestling gear?

    • @TilWeMakeIt
      @TilWeMakeIt  Před 3 lety

      Jared, there probably is, but that's just outside my wheelhouse. The actual stitching process and such is not within the sphere of my expertise, sadly.

    and elucha makes custom gear as well but it’s a reasonable price for the quality and the texture of the kick pads feel comfortable. Follow elucha on Instagram @eluchastore but the only thing they don’t have yet is boots so high spots is we’re I’m getting the boots.

    Hey mike hope ur doing well,
    Does your nationality make you more attractive in tryouts and recruits? I’m Venezuelan/Lebanese does that help me in any way because for example I’ve never heard of any woman wrestler from the Middle East so that would be groundbreaking and wouldn’t promotions be interested in that? And with that I speak 5 languages fluently ( Spanish,Arabic, English, French,Turkish) so yeah that’s my question:) I’m trying to help myself as much as possible because there are no training centers for wrestling here :,)
    Also thank you for the videos they’re really helpful ♥️🇱🇧

      Hi Salma! I think many companies that want diverse rosters are always looking for unique, or, dare I say, "exotic" appearances. I think it can only help, and being a multi-linguist gives you a MASSIVE advantage. Thanks for the kind words, too!
