I went to high school in Ghana in the late 2000s I actually witnessed Accra Mall be built and it was the first of its kind at the time. When it was completed it became our ultimate hotspot to hang out, go to the movie theatre, and just be typical teenagers all around the mall. Good memories. Thank you for the tour.

I saw this video of a woman speaking on how horrible her experience has been living in Accra, but more so she was complaining about not finding no snacks (lmao). Now im giving her the side eye because it seems like she's expecting Accra to be the exact same as the USA and everything she spoke on was NEGATIVE. I'm happy you're more open minded Rochelle! Being from the Caribbean helps i think since there's a lot of similarities to African countries.

I was at the okaishie & makola market all day shopping for school, i will say one thing about the markets in ghana is that they are super efficient! U can find literally anything u need at the okaishie market and purchase the same product for way less than it costs at ur local mall or local stores. I just recommend not going alone unless u’re sure u know the whole place. The okaishie market is very big. Also if u are a foreigner in ghana who does not speak one of the local languages, i recommend going to markets with a person that knows at least one of the local languages.

What you mean is they are running the tills directly from a database instead of creating a quick interface on the database for quick input for faster service to customers. Like adding barcode scanners and quantity of items straight to the screen. Also a database is useless if not updated regularly with the change in items and I believe this is the problem but the bosses don't care because they aren't the one's repeating tasks. But forget it's poor customer service.

This Microsoft thing is in a particular chain of shops like Melcom, a cheap import from China. The other shops like Shoprite are modern, and use scanners as you will find anywhere in the world.

I'm curious as to why you have the mask on if you're not going to wear it properly? Everyone I saw in that supermarket that was visible had their mask up. The least you can do as a visitor to another country is to adhere to the rules, whether you believe covid is real or not.

Exactly! It makes me so mad how she doesn’t take it seriously!! 😡

I agree with you, but it needs to be taken seriously. In my opinion, the reason why that is it's because for some people if you are distance, noone is around you or in this case talking to us with the mask can be annoying and uncomfortable. Stay safe everyone 🙃😷😷!!!

I think she wears it when she's around people but takes it down when she alone and that makes sense

I’m sure she does it for the purpose of the audio. Between the mask and the mic on the camera the audio would suck and y’all would be complaining about that too🙄
