Amazing video, in my opinion if a driver has a rich dad but is extremely talented like Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Jeff Burton they don’t deserve to be labeled as “Silver Spoon”, the only drivers that deserve that label are drivers that suck but still have great rides.
Paul Menard is proof that even if you didn’t earn your way there, people will treat you with some respect if you stay out of the way. Paul wasn’t ruining equipment or driving over his head. He never had his own reality show and he didn’t spin people out. He seemed to understand the situation and his place in the racing world. Austin Dillon seems to think that he’s equally talented as Larson. He doesn’t accept that he hasn’t really earned anything. Logano is a weird case because he is talented, just maybe not as much as he thinks. A lot of the hate for him isn’t because he’s rich, it’s just that too many of his wins are a result of a late race caution, and then him driving overly aggressive. Even his championship was a result of a garbage playoff system and him using more aggression than talent. I never liked Jeff Burton at all, but he definitely raced respectfully. Ward was cool though.
People need to realize that not all “rich kids” and “Daddy’s Money” drivers are NOT bad driver. Yeah it sucks to see drivers take the easier way to get into the racing world, but at the same time not all of them are bad drivers.
Haillie deegan is a perfect example of this, her dad is known for his career in fmx, supercross along with his brief stint in rally cross but all he’s really helped with is sponsorships with brands he’s already with, her driving speaks for itself though. Unfortunately these days, it's almost a universal given that you have to have money to get into racing in any of the top series. Not just NASCAR, but that applies to all sanctioned series worldwide. It used to be that either your family had a rod shop or a dealership that would push their kids through the local tracks if you were super lucky, otherwise you'd start in carts and prove your mettle; maybe if you had talent and incredible luck, you'd get picked up by a team for a junior series and work your way up, otherwise you'd be a weekend racer for life wondering what could have been as you work your ass off between weekends trying to pay for gas and tires. Anymore, you or your family just writes and check and in you go, provided you can also bank enough for a license. The days of having talent and a dream are all but over for the everyman with twang in his voice and gas in his veins.
I don't know if I would include Chase in this. Yes, his dad was a Cup champion, but Chase had no sponsors or a ride until January of 2014, just one month before Daytona. NAPA had just dropped Truex over Spingate, and used the Georgia connection to sign. Bill stated in many interviews that his funding could only carry Chase so far, but James Finch saw Chase race and told HMS that they needed to sign him.
No incorrect Chase Elliott ran the lower series with Napa for quite a while so it was inevitable and he also had other sponsors and he worked hard to get two cup level in his earned his keep

Jeff Gordon grew up in upper-middle-class family that had the money to move across the country solely for the sake of his career. Nascar needs a spec series. It should be modeled after other sports franchises where the crew and drivers are drafted in with a salary cap and the teams are geographically based. If they can keep the cost under 15 million per year, there are more than enough cities that could field a team. Plus with sponsorship dollars for car designs, there are enough businesses in just about every market that could sponsor a car for a season for what they pay for a high visibility ad campaign. Also, driver talent needs a low cost farm like iracing to find talent that can be developed in the real world. Imagine a driver winning the Daytona 500 who started out as an iracing driver who didn't have the financial backing that even the "poor" teams have in nascar today.

Don’t think there is one. The interview was aired a few minutes after it took place, meaning Fox had enough time to censor the interview before it was aired. I wish there was, because it would definitely be a lot funnier.
I also would say Austin Dillon he is kind of a brat he's a silver spoon kid for sure but he did really well and XFinity and trucks I mean he won races that takes some skills also he has one races in the cup series which is no easy feat. And one of those races Was a Race where he had several restarts on the front row, and he earned his keep he held them off kept the lead and won the race and it wasn't a restrictor plate track like Daytona or Talladega it was Texas
What makes a driver a "rich kid"? The people that envy them, just something people say when they are envious or just really pissed off and have no other insults. Not always but most of the time
Im not sure if tony had much of a right to be that upset with logano over a block though like its late stages in the race logano is tryna win why would he just let tony pull through ahead and ruin his chances in taking the lead, i love tony but i think him being mad was a lil dumb
It's not true that money or your name can keep you in a good ride. I have a friend who's father and grandfather were both Daytona and Cup champions. He couldn't make the cut even with the best opportunities. He won a few races in ARCA but never could make the cut in the higher tiers. I do believe that money or your family name will give you certain opportunities but it won't keep you in a car if you can't drive.
Look it take a lot of money to race at any level and you have to be know in the racing world and start at a very young age so if your family is all ready know then you have your foot in the door . So yes money helps . But if you don’t have it you will not make it .
Austin Cendric. No one talks about him, but his father been head of Penske Racing for a very long time. I went to undergrad with Tim. It's not surprising Austin can drive, Tim was a VERY good athlete and very smart.
Ok I'm calling you out. Joey Logano's birth certificate was forged to make him older, so he could move up in higher age groups, not lower to move up to harder competition.
Sorry, but there really isn't any problem at all with giving a driver crap for being a spoiled rich kid, so long as they never grow past their childish superego and immense sense of self-entitlement. That's what separates guys like Austin Dillon from Jeff Burton, as you said. The Burton brothers are rather grounded and southern. Austin Dillon? Southern? Eh, maybe. Grounded? Hell no. I'll argue that every single driver in NASCAR is a "silver spoon" in some sense, but the ultimate difference lies in a) those who have true respect for the blood, sweat, and tears of the men who fought for them to get to where they are, and b) fathers who twist their whole world to conform to the will of their children--as is the case with Logano and Childress. The result of the latter is self-entitlement and childish yellow-bellies, though it can still be overcome. The former? Humility, confidence, masculinity, and a *true champion.*
If they are good at then yeah people hate act like it a problem that you have parents with money , but if the person is not good enough to be apart of the sport but someone buy there way in that's wrong , never understood that people grew up with money were treated differently your not aloud to be apart of poor people club there something wrong with you , the only one that I have a problem with is the spoiled brat that treat others like crap and put other down , but this idea of there's something wrong with you because your parents had money and buy you expensive toys never got that
Ok if you can drive great……here is what it really takes……set a 100 dollar bill on fire. If you flinch, racing is not for you. It is the sport of money. Got talent? Go play baseball…..got money? Come race.

Difference is how they treat others on the track. If they have respect for the guys who have to work on the cars and take care of them.
Like y'all wouldn't let Daddy pay for a ride lol.
That would be great if he ever comes back with the milk.
@@fivewidesports that dirty bastad!
Great video
Daddies money isn't worth a penny if their kid can't back it up, create for themselves or add to the family legacy.
That is # 3 for sure and I deserve it because I'm black ( really only 1/2 black boy )white don't count
Logano BC was forged, but to move up to an older age group, not down to easier age division. I just that I would mention that.
Racing is an expensive sport. Like has been said before, the best way to make a small fortune racing is to start with a large fortune.
I immediately thought of the Dillons and Stephen Wallace when I saw the title
Incredible video
They are all rich kids - Tim Richmond was a rich kid - so was Mark Martin - even the ones who weren't had resources - Jeff Gordon's parents moved from California to Indiana - that took resources -
Should we shun Gretzky for having good skates ? Jordan for having the best sneakers ? Bonds for having the best roids ?
No !!!
The Burton brothers most definitely worked their seed off at South Boston Speedway to make it
Racing at that level has always beena rich kid sport
I feel Joey logano's always been a little b**** who's had his hired thugs pit crew step in and stand up for him every step of the way while he backs away from every fight and runs and hides
2:23 Cayden Lapcevich From Pinty series!
And folks wonder why the sport has lost so many fans in the past 15 years or so. This would be a huge issue of such.
Basketball and baseball have a lot of the same problems as kids have go through aau or other select sports to get noticed a lot of the time.
He's back...
Love ur videos
Is there an unedited version of Stewart Auto Club interview??
Don’t think there is one. The interview was aired a few minutes after it took place, meaning Fox had enough time to censor the interview before it was aired. I wish there was, because it would definitely be a lot funnier.
Kids of rich folk and Laughcar is as high as they aimed. Speaks volumes.
Now, there are fewer drivers who come from the middle or under class the field is filled with rich kids.
Rich kids still have to prove wether they’re good or just rich at the end of the day
True
Calling Austin Dillon silver spoon I don't think is very fair. He's a truck and Xfinity champion and on a not so great RCR has won 3 races

to be fair...cars are expensive af
It's not so much how you get there, but more how you act and how much you contribute.
He also won the Coca-Cola 600 in 2017
Money is no substitute for ability
What makes a driver a "rich kid"? The people that envy them, just something people say when they are envious or just really pissed off and have no other insults. Not always but most of the time
It’s nothing but rich kids these days. Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Ty Gibbs, Joey Logano, etc.
"Failie" Deegan will likely end up like Wally Dallenbach Jr. All show with zero results.
Racing takes $$ but if u can win so be it
How you came up only matters when you start wrecking guys undeservedly.
There wuold be more finnish drivers racing in the wordl if we just get more sponsorship.
goat
Im not sure if tony had much of a right to be that upset with logano over a block though like its late stages in the race logano is tryna win why would he just let tony pull through ahead and ruin his chances in taking the lead, i love tony but i think him being mad was a lil dumb
No shot nascar gonna put talent over money
It's not true that money or your name can keep you in a good ride. I have a friend who's father and grandfather were both Daytona and Cup champions. He couldn't make the cut even with the best opportunities. He won a few races in ARCA but never could make the cut in the higher tiers. I do believe that money or your family name will give you certain opportunities but it won't keep you in a car if you can't drive.
Chase elliot enters the chat
Look it take a lot of money to race at any level and you have to be know in the racing world and start at a very young age so if your family is all ready know then you have your foot in the door . So yes money helps . But if you don’t have it you will not make it .
Heh, I wish I could race
Austin Cendric. No one talks about him, but his father been head of Penske Racing for a very long time. I went to undergrad with Tim. It's not surprising Austin can drive, Tim was a VERY good athlete and very smart.
So funny that he couldn’t even spin Harvick & Harvick had a flat & jacked up truck
But that rich kid spoiled brat proved he’s nothing for a driver .
it's more about the attitude.
To be fair he probably didn't stick around because your grandfather his boss told him not to
Literally 1 more lap Jeff Gordon wouldve won that Brickyard 400 I hated Paul Menard for that race and indeed called him a silver spooned rich kid
That race still hurts lol
I wanted Jeff to win really bad.. I was glad Paul got his first win though
Im just not a Gordon fan. So whenever he's not first, it is good to me.
The people that raced back in the day were people with money… that’s how you built the car was with money.
Logano still the GOAT😏🤫
No
Ok I'm calling you out. Joey Logano's birth certificate was forged to make him older, so he could move up in higher age groups, not lower to move up to harder competition.
What happened for 1 year?
A lot. I will update you guys soon.
@@fivewidesportsOk I hope everything was good for you
I don’t think it’s fair that people blame drivers for the upbringing
Makes complete since. If anything they drive better than majority of ppl in the world and deserve a shot. Take your opportunity right?
Come race.
HE'S GOT THE DENNY HAMLIN SYNDROME IF HE WRECKS SOMEONE IT'S HARD RACING BUT IF HE GETS WRECKED THAT PERSON IS AJERK AND NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE AND GET SUSPENDED NEXT WEEK.
