What's doubly impressive is that they sound exactly the same live, except less synths. They are in sync, skilled and amazing to watch and listen to. Best band to come up in decades, in my opinion.

Great Reaction. These ladies are a Generational collaboration of amazing talent.
*Rising* holds a special place in my heart. It is the very first Lovebites song I listened to. And since that glorious moment: everylasting love. These ladies are (better than) a miracle.
The outstandingly amazing guitar duet brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. So uplifting. The even bolder "sister" of this song is "Bravehearted", written by their drummer (Haruna). Also very motivating. Lovebites = geniuses at work. "Keep going, ladies!"

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …
The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames)
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans from around the world will be along to give you information about them.
Lovebites are an all female Japanese metal band formed in 2016 by two ex members of another all female band, Destrose that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from British and European bands from the 1970's and 80's such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. In 2019 they toured the UK along with Dragon Force. The first all female Japanese metal band to play at the Wacken metal festival in Germany.
The band members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained as a Ballet Dancer and was a R&B singer before she joined Lovebites. She writes a lot of the lyrics.
Midori, ESP Guitars. She is the blond haired one playing the white guitar in this video. Midori is also a body builder and has scored very highly in competitions in japan.
Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. She is a classically trained pianist and writes much of the bands music, often incorporating themes from classical music into her compositions.
Both guitarists play lead, switching from lead to rhythm and back as needed. Their harmonised twin guitar solos are a wonder to behold.
Haruna, Drums, nicknamed the 'Little BIG Engine' due to her small stature (around 1.4 meters, 4' 9") and relentless energy whilst on stage. Co founder of the band, along with,
Miho, Bass Guitar.
Miho left the band for personal reasons in 2021 and the band went on hiatus until they recruited a new bassist in late 2022 in the form of then 20 year old Fami, who was still studying at university.
Fami has her own YT channel with over 700,000 subs.
A few recommendations for further listening. Holy War, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O. , We The United, Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series, Vlad Love) Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue.
There are many more songs from them you could try, if you enjoyed this I think you will like anything else from them, they truly do not seem able to write a bad song. One of the best bands I have heard in 60 years of listening to rock and metal. I'm going to see them play in London on 14th June

For Lovebites this is more on the poppy and ballad side of their music. Look at "Shadowmaker" or "Hammer of Wrath" to see their more, well, lively side. Or just take a deep dive into all of their live recordings. They (the women and the songs) are face-meltingly beautiful and mind-shredding at the same time. Can't wait for Lindau in June.

Many many hours of serious work behind every song of them. And the result is always presented so "effortlessly"... Surreal. In my opinion, Lovebites are on the outer limits of Metal performance. They even already made the impossible happen: being even better *live* than on their studio albums. Best Metal since decades.

LOVEBITES. They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.
