Here is the live video to "The Hammer Of Wrath" taken from Japan's metal band LOVEBITES' brand-new live Blu-ray/DVD 'KNOCKIN' AT HEAVEN'S GATE - LIVE IN TOKYO 2023' featuring night 1 of their two comeback shows "WE ARE THE RESURRECTION" with new bassist Fami in this March.
That was the first time the band has appeared in front of audience since April 2021!

Believe it or not, this was Fami's (new bassist) very first live performance ever with the band (March 11th, 2023), and the rest of the band had an almost 2 year hiatus after the tour that resulted in "Heavy Metal Never Dies" (March 26th, 2021). There was Covid-19 and there was the loss of bassist Miho for personal reasons, and the bass auditions during that phase. They were happy to be back on stage again, had some new energy and enthusiasm, that's why Asami cried at the beginning: "WEEE ARE BAAAAACK !!!".

Her voice on the end was fantastic. Asami's voice is unique and has found a place in metal.

she wasn't even a metal singer. She was R&B singer until she was recruited by Lovebites. Miho is the founder of this band & it was her decision to hire this singer. We didn't like the singer, but her voice is very high & quite unusual.
@@lanuiiohu 100%, True. She never planned to become a metal signer but since they recruited her she has become the voice that she has today, which is different. it's turned into something special to me. I love it but the first time I heard it I wanted something else, eventually it grew on me.
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 695,000 CZcams subscribers.

Fami is currently 22 years old.

That was the first song I heard from Lovebites. Words cannot describe my incredulity. I simply couldn't believe my eyes and ears. By bar 8, I was already a fan. And I'm not even a metalhead.
The bassist Fami joined after the old bassist and co-founder Miho left in 2021. She has a background in Funk, J-Pop and other weird and wild styles which might explain her crisp, funky sound. She also has her own YT-channel that has significantly more followers than Lovebites. You should check it out. It's mind-blowing what she can play. And btw: she turned 22 today, June 1st.

He said on an earlier reaction, that he will fit her channel into his schedule. Given his interest, it makes sense for a recommendation. For Lovebites though, he should probably be aware that Fami joined after the latest album was mostly finished (not much time to implement her); to expect more of her influence on a future album.

Yes this everyone must see it once and you said you played bass - well 😮
They basically use the same instruments they used for recording in their live performances, so they switch guitars depending on the song. And this song was recorded on their first full album "AWAKENING FROM ABYSS" before Miyako got Flying V.
In fact, there are extremely few LOVEBITES songs that have solo parts for bass or drums, and this song was chosen as the opening song for this revival live performance because it was the first performance by new member FAMI (bass).

I recommend checking out more live from them. Maybe Break the Wall (2020) or Set the World on Fire (2021). Their entire catalog is amazing and generally better live.

@@ThisGuyReacts85 Haha yes they are. Break the Wall is a contender for best thrash song ever written imho. Asami's vocals are soaring in Set the World on Fire. It's a great chorus. I also recommend checking out Judgment Day live. Doesn't have to be a reaction as you already did the MV, but that one is pretty amazing live too.

LOVEBITES has two lead guitarists. In 'The Hammer of Wrath', each of them played 2 solos + harmonization of two guitars at the end of the song. The bassist played 3 solos.

The Dean guitar that Miyako is playing in this performance is her most common go-to guitar. The Flying V is her signature model specially designed for her, but she didn't get that guitar until the Glory, Glory to the World EP, which came out between their third and fourth albums. The Dean in this video dates back to her days before LOVEBITES. She also has a Dimebag-style Dean that she plays in several videos and concert clips.
In the knocking at heavens gate concerts she uses 6 or 7 different guitars

The dark-haired guitarist Miyako has about a dozen guitars, and she just picked up a PRS 24 Custom. If you watch all their videos, you will see she just about playes all of them. The Dean Icon you see in this video, she has used it a lot

This was the opening for their *_Resurrection_* concerts in 2023 - Their return to the stage after adding new bassist *Fami* to the band in Oct '22. It was her 1st ever performance with Any band, and first performance in front of any kind of a real crowd. She was 20 yo, and Over the Moon for the whole show . . with that Huge smile on her face all night. This PRS looking custom Dean USA Icon IS actually Miyako's go to signature guitar. She's a Dean endorsed artist, and along with her custom red Dean V, she also plays a custom Dean 'Dimebag' style Switchblade, but the faded denim Icon in this video is the one most associated with Miyako. She also plays a Gibson Les Paul, Gibson custom Korina and Gibson custom Futura onstage.
And she was unboxing an actual PRS two or three days ago. I‘m curious if she will bring this on stage too.

These ladies are wonderful. I saw his first videos years ago and since then I like them more every day. The M&M duo, the two engines Haruna and Fami and Asami as the master of ceremonies, kill all the songs. I love them.

6:01 Miyako (guitarist) is one of the _geniuses_ in this band. She does not have to "learn" instruments, the instruments _obey_ her. She always creates brilliance and looks like "Thank you for appreciating this, but you know, this is no big deal, we are doing this all the time..." 😂 _Brilliance_ , performed _effortlessly_ . The Wolfpack _loves_ Miyako for creating amazing music, and it _loves_ her for looking like bored while performing miracles. 😂 Miyako is completely different in her personal videos in her own channel: smiling, kind, down-to-earth. 😁

No one plays Thrash better LIVE than this band. LIVE is the only way to experience this band. Once again the M&M show with completely different personalities nonetheless blend together perfectly for a dual lead guitar duo (they are simply one of the best duo out there). M&M practice together away from the band chasing perfection especially LIVE.

Here's what I'd like for you to do. For this entire video, take out the entire band. Take all of the ladies out, and replace them with the classic lineup of Anthrax. Would it sound the same? If you answered "YES", you would be correct. I've said it over and over, and I'll say it again: This song sounds like it easily could have come off of Anthrax's Among the Living album back in 1986. That shows you how good these ladies are; that they can thrash as well as - and even better than - the Big 4.. and do it in HEELS.

no band exists on a island. any artist takes inspiration from their own life collectively, and using that as a framework for their own creation. they do not sound like Eminem, they dont even sound like Metallica, they do have some similar feels like Iron Maidan, which is a band that they have said inspired them. they of course are their own sound, it is only an observation
