00:00 Intro
The Mini Madgwick is a bespoke built-to-order road Mini inspired by the Swiftune Cooper S racers. Fitted with a 110 BHP engine and twin SU-Carburettors, making for a very lively drive!
“Like a Mini Cooper S, Only better!” Octane magazine 2017
The impeccably assembled Madgwick named after the famously challenging first corner at the Goodwood Motor Circuit the “happy hunting ground” of some giant slaying moments for Nick Swift in the works Swiftune FIA Mini.
All Mini Madgwick’s are bespoke built to customers’ requirements ensuring that you really do have the most unique and exclusive Mini that suits you. We prefer to use original BMC body colours but are always open to suggestions. The choices for engine characteristics range from a smooth high torque output that is more suited to “in-town” use or an increased spec suited to the open road for the more “spirited” drive. Interior and trim are based on the original Cooper Brocade and high back seats but can be bespoke too. The Madgwick standard features are classic race door mirrors, leather bonnet straps, rose petal wheels, lowered ride height, all replicating our historic race cars.

the video transposed onto the rear quarter window was beautiful.
Watching this video I wonder if Mark has anytime to think about anything else other than getting to be behind the wheel when it’s completed. Too much excitement. It’s a thing of beauty.
I've thought about this for the last 18 months. Good things come to those that wait as they say, but only 4-5 weeks to go! 🙂
You gotta love the simplicity of a mk1 perfect !
That's what makes the early ones so much better in my opinion, the simplicity like you say. 😎
It is great to see a car zip together so quickly. tHanks for the video!
looking good !
not first cry cry lol. working the weekend on lates and it was a bad weekend
My mini is waiting on that guy Alex in the video to come do my mini sitting in the garage. I bet he could finish every thing in one day.
I think we all need an Alex in our lives 😂
Mark and Keith, that's going to be a great looking car when finished. I had never heard of a mini Madgwick until your first clip a couple of weeks ago. My hat is also off to Swiftune. What an amazing looking business and workshop.
Lots don't know about them so hopefully the videos will generate more awareness of them in the mini scene. It's a very interesting place, especially when you see the other areas like the machine shop and engine build room. I'll see if he will let me do a walk around and film it. 😎
Hi Mark and Keith, wow! The Madgwick is looking ACE, the guys are certainly ploughing through the build hey. It'll be interesting to see Marks interior choice if it's guna be something a bit different 🤔 Great stuff as always 😊
Thank you. Yes, Alex is very good and enjoys his job, which helps. Glad you're enjoying so far! 🙂
Hiya Keith-brilliant video-looks a very professional outfit there. Your videos are getting very professional too mate! Keep well.
Thanks Dave! I said exactly the same thing to Keith about his editing on this one! 😎
Hey Keith and mark great vid mini coming on well can’t wait to see it finished plus Keith if mark lets you have a spin in it there’s hope he might let me 😹
Thanks Dad. 😂 Of course you can drive it, you know the rules though, you bend it , you mend it 😉😂 I guess i should let you drive the ERA soon too! 😘
Great video, well done guys, really interesting to see how it all comes together. Thanks for the content 👍
Thanks Mark. Me too, i'm literally watching it like you are and only see it in the flesh when i visit to collect the SD cards! 😁
Keith it sure would have been nice to see them installing that chrome strip on the seam over and between the wheel arches.
I was going to ask if Keith could find out how they preshaped it.
He fits it at 1:40 but it looks like it was pre-shaped. I will ask where they get the trim and if they shape it first. I will add the slowed down clip at the end of the next video
@@classicminiworkshop thanks Keith
Because they are fiddly, I did it in the evening and forgot to film it!
@@H3LL80Y101 pity, but thanks for taking the time to reply. Very fiddly and the Australian Cooper has flares that are held on by the strips which make it much more difficult.
Hi Keith I wonder what determines what order they put things back on the shell? There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. But these guys are professionals there must be an order they follow.
I tend to just fit the bits I want, in an order that suits me. There are bits such as the loom, pipes ect that have to go first but the rest I just do as I feel!
@@H3LL80Y101 Thanks for the reply Alex.
1st ! 👍🍺
How much is it? Take my money already 😂
😂 Deep pockets, very deep 😬
