  • The Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3 lets you trigger samples and loops stored in Traktor Pro 3’s sample player using the performance pads. In this tutorial we’ll show you how you can create your own four bar beat using the sampler, how to scratch using samples, and how to mute, filter and change the volume of the sounds you’ve got loaded.

    Great video, thanks. I'm trying to use the remix decks for mixing in well known loops to my existing set. Right now every time I grab a loop and put it into the sample deceit either plays too fast or too slow? When I capture these beats, how do I capture it or set the settings so that my captured beats sync to my existing set/songs?

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 4 lety +1

      The remix decks have a sync function just like a normal deck, so you need to have that enabled on the Remix deck, hopefully that should fix it. If not, take a look more closely at individual sample / slot level, as sync can also be switched on / off there too :)

    • @digitaldjtips

    Personally, I think this is gimmicky crap. When I started off with Traktor 8 years go I tried to cram every feature into my controller mappings, but once I started doing real DJ sets it quickly dawned on me that a lot of those fancy features, while very attractive on marketing blurb, are not very useful at all in a set. I've used one remix decks mainly for one shots and playing a loop over other tracks. I wouldn't ever want to tap out a crappy drum loop during my sets. Just me anyway.

      @imskydrop1251 Před 4 lety +2

      Porter Robinson as well as quite a few other big name djs have opened sets with them making a drum beat to the song their introducing. Just because it's a lot of work to be doing a lot of APMs during a set doesn't mean it's "gimmicky crap" IMO.
