    Thank you! When I've come in to the shop I've always appreciated the extra time you take for explanation and being sure I know what the heck I'm doing. Like having the video back-up.

    Thank you for your video. Just found out tonight that my sister was running her machine with humidity on, but with the water tank empty. She freaked out a little because the humidifier warming plate was turn on and getting hot and she thought her machine might have been broken. Thanks to your video I was able to learn how to turn it off for her.

    Your first method is easier but there's a tip you didn't cover. If your heated tube is not plugged in, the machine doesn't sense it and only gives you an opportunity to adjust the humidity level. If it's plugged in, it gives you both options when you first turn it on, as you demonstrated nicely.

    Thanks for the help. Too bad there is no way to magically change it to a Resmed machine! I have had CPAP four years and have had five machines so far. I have had to return the DS 2 twice. The DS 1 never had a problem. This one is not as easy to fill and clean either.

    My dreamstation 2 has NO setting to adjust the humidity. It's driving me nuts. There is NO icon to push when you turn the machine on. There is NO humidifier adjustment in the settings, even though I have the patient controls turned on. GRRRRR! Any suggestions?

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  Před rokem +1

      Something is wrong if you do not see those settings. You should definitely get with your provider and see what is up.

    I was hoping that your would give advice for rainout, specifically...does the humidity need to go up on down if you have rainout AND the same question for the tube temperature. Thanks....

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  Před 2 lety

      If you have rainout your should adjust your humidity down and/or the tube temp up.

    If you do want to use the humidifier , what do you do with the water container.

      4 is the general low setting for starting pressure on most CPAPs. Sorry that you have had a rough go on the DreamStation 2.

      My doc said if she had known this was what they were going to do for replacements she would have told us to bring in our DS 1 machines and she would remove the foam herself. Unfortunately she did not know it was such an easy fix.I am expecting this one to croak in a few months and then in February I will be getting a Resmed machine!

      Try swiping. The touchscreen is a little wonky sometimes. Additionally, your provider should be able to adjust it remotely for you if need be.

      Have you tried it with heated tubing. Might be the machine sensing your ambient temp and humidity levels.

      @@CPAPmyway Yes. I have heated tubing. Is there a way to stop the machine for deciding for me?
