Good thing I watched your video with the inside info about no Sunday parade. We will be ready for Monday morning bands, horses and floats, just as good.
đđ. What a great tour! (Setting aside considerations of rain), it wasn't so bad marching in parades as a kid, but the senior citizen groups who get bussed into some of those bleachers must have some serious stamina! Happy New Year to all! đđ
So many fun memories from over the years! But it's really a young person's game! When you're younger you can enjoy staying up all night, shivering in the cold and walking in the middle of Colorado Blvd during the evening before and carousing with total strangers from who knows where. The real treat is doing the watch them build the floats over at the Rose Bowl area, as well organized teams hustle to finish the magnificent floats in time!
About 12 years ago I went to the Rose Parade. My best friends daughter was marching in it from her high school in Chicago. I have never experienced that much rain in my life. They said it was the first time in over 50 years that it rained liked that there. She had to march 5 miles soaked in her wool marching suit. However it is quite an experience but when you have to dry your money out with a hair dryer, then you know it poured.. Sat in the grandstand by the TV booths. Across from Norton Simon museum.
Happy New Year nice share. I went one time we went the night before and drank tons of screwdrivers so the day of the parade most of us were not feeling so well but we managed to get through it Watching it on TV is just fine.

Love the outside sounds! Thanks for the pre-parade goingsâŁïž We're having a little bit warmer day today. There were two sounds like that separated apart a few minutes. Seemed like big booming collision sounds. I hope it wasn't anything like that. It just unfortunately didn't really sound like possibly two very large commercial fireworks 4-6 minutes apart. I'm hoping it was maybe some air force test and no one was hurt. I listened carefully for the sound of fire following blowing this way, because it seemed to be three buildings to the east of me along a main road.
