Having spent a lot of my childhood and most of my life in performance spaces, I absolutley love you documenting all these venues. Including stairways, elevators, locals outside and all. I wish I had the time to look through them all. Maybe when I retire - which will be uh, NEVER.
There is a place near where I grew up, called the Barn Theatre, in Augusta MI. Owned originally by a fellow named Jack Ragotzy. Badass summer-stock theater. But the grounds were the thing. The maintainable of the grounds and the respect for the audience's experience was the thing. I am trying to Imagine watching y'all playing in a place which I don't even know exists anymore! Bittersweet, but good!😊
I think Willie would be excellent playing Jerry Lewis in the password scene out of Which Way To The Front. He is a character and then there is Brad who is next level and always a laugh. Next Peggy the ex hells angel joins in. Hope the ice cream arrives before a riot and remember with photos ‘Pants Are Overrated’. Great walk again Lee once again and what a laugh. 👍☮️

I remember this venue from last year. Not my favourite, too much background noise. In the 4yrs I’ve been following this channel Leland has never been so down, tired and homesick. The States have had a long hot summer and it’s only half way through!

PS: I've kept my '99 Jeep Cherokee for similar reason. My mechanic keeps it running like a top, but even though the miles are adding up, I haven't found another vehicle that offers the comfort, versatility & look of a classic Jeep. A workhorse that doubles as just a great ride. Can't wait to see your revived truck. I still remember you talking about that 'accident' as you were getting Maureen to the hospital. The Newport was clearly a big booking mistake, but whaddayagonnado? It wouldn't even hold a lot of people unless they were just packed in (making it worse), but I suspect that for many people in the Columbus area interested in going to hear Lyle and the Large Band, they would be saying "at Newport?... oh, HELL NO, I'm not standing for hours in that dump! maybe 20 or 30 years ago!". Especially odd because I know from a guy I'm acquainted with in Columbus, who does live sound, that there are a few really nice theaters in Columbus that would be just the thing for this show.
