I think eugent did the right thing thats why he qualified...because as he said the only thing I want is people to enjoy and understand the song and no effects needed....thats why he qualified because he showed his love for music without effects or any dance to qualify only the song

I remember lol I was in my P.E class during attendance listening to who would be the finalists and was a nervous wreck waiting for Albania to be called and freaked out in joy in front of my friends and classmates with a relived yess! I'm super happy for eugent qualifying for the final and making 11th place!! His song was winner worthy in my eyes also was super happy for Ireland I really grew to love that song.

Albania was a surprise only for people who are deaf and know nothing about music. They had the best performance of the night (after Cyprus ofc) absolutely flawless and made the whole public in shivers. What did Belgium, Greece or Azerbaijan do to deserve the final? They completely sucked. Honestly. Azerbaijan was already written off for the final as they had a horrible bad song. I woudnt say Lithuania was a surprise too.
It doesnt mean that i am deaf if i thought that they wouldnt qualify, i think it was a really solid performance, but in eurovision albania has had bad luck always so i didnt expect it

This BBC guy cracks me up. He seems to know that people at home, who voted for the qualifying acts, would be disappointed with some of the qualifiers, Meaning Albania :) . A very direct way of generalizing one’s own preferences. Not professional !
Same thing happened in 2012 when Rona with Suus qualified. They seem to be adverse to anything but pop music.
Same thing happened in 2009 too, Graham Norton said some bad things for the albanian singer Kejsi Tola. I think they have a serious problem with albanian entry's.
The same was with Terry Wogan who kept on shunning and snubbing at Serbia in 2004, Netherlands in 1980 and some more occasions

When I was watching the SF, I wanted Albania to qualify and I thought they could, but not that it would. Like I still didn't expect them to. So I was so happy for them that they made it out of such a strong SF. And I DEFENITELY didn't expect Ireland to qualify (even tho the staging lifted the song up), like everyone ruled them out, gave them no chance, and I was happy for Ryan and for Ireland that they qualified after some years in the wilderness! And them being called last adds even more excitement happiness to the party
