I'm not Haitian, but if France pay reparations, Haiti deserves to be first in line.
the issues never ending we see in Haiti today is because of the legacy of being the First Free Black New World Nation. France and others have extracted and Haiti had to pay them!!! Haiti brought this up in 2015 after finally paying off the debt to France in equivalency of 21 million euros or so … for reveling and winning revolution in 1804 months his gettin embargo put on them for being a truly free nation and went from richest country try in the world at the time to poorest country in western hemisphere. The debt the France demanded for them to pay to leave them alone and not retake the island in war was for Haitians to pay the value of slaves lost (merchandise) to France. Haiti agreed. And paid it off. After finally paying it off after 200 years and brought it up at the UN summit ..France just turned their heads and ignored the question. There is no justice. There is no freedom. There is no truth. Not in this world we live in…. So Mia motley needs to chill with demands and stern talks to the powers that be. They stil have the power to put us all back in chains if they choose to do so. Look at Palestine.
Well maybe Haiti’s president should take a break from selling off their land & resources to the colonizers & do the research like Ms. Mottley did to join the fight for reparations.

Get with Africa Barbados! Ask African countries to withhold ALL RESOURCES until a reparation agreement is put into place! Do not give them anything until you have received substantial payments. Do it together along with Jamaica! Hold their feet to the fire!!!

If Africa sanctions the west by closing their borders to certain western passports, banning export of resources to the west and kicking out western businesses, western tech, western missionaries and NGOs, reparations will be paid within the hour. The countries’ borders are not the same as back then. Maybe start with European countries repairing fairly recent wars damage and genocide first ? Then work back in time taking into account the changed borders after multiple wars and take into account exactly who benefited because many Europeans were just as much a victim as those that were colonised.. Some countries did not even exist at that time. How does one deal with that as with other factors such as current countries’ roles in bringing about their own issues ? It’s not as simple as it looks. This repair claim is just a way of upping political pressure.

May I suggest you take a historical atlas of Europe and look e.g. at the year 1700, then 1800, and compare with current day borders. Countries were very different from what they are now. Your proposal would require a lot of intra-European reparations first, back to the 1700s. Europe is not done yet with the past world war, let alone with all the invasions and border changes since 1700s. It’s not as easy as it looks…. And let’s not even consider dual origin folks that are also part of that same Europe And of the recipient countries. And immigrants. How would you deal with picking people apart over a few hundred years ?

I think that the families of the descendant enslavement families should each be made to pay for their enslaving behaviours, and individual gains made weather if they had lost that profit or not. I also think that all taxes raised through slavery and colonisation should be paid to the indigenous African society's whom had lost of their valuable contribution of their men and women. I also think that a Re-education program and assistant's program should be created through the United nations to guide and help each african societys, slave desending families to overcome the losses of their people's and to restore the losses lost throughout and year's.
I also think that each and every slave lost at sea and on land should be compensated for and honoured to their indigenous society and their destination african American and Caribbean societies and their families, so they may know what they had overcome and gain from the life of their loved one. I also believe that each country who had part taken in each enslavement should separately pay for the justice that each nation had not given to each and every slave, died on land or sea, paying the original ethnic societies and the desending families of each and every slave.
