For more of Mads and Boyd, plus Director James Mangold on inheriting the franchise from Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.
He means it means the world to get paid, he does not care if he did why make a movie that why are you ok with Lucasfilm denigrating, negating and emasculating said characters, examples see Han, Luke, Vader, Obi wan, now Jones-all which is clear as a corporate agenda for these legacy character to be cucked by a op female insert character. And as a film goes the overuse of cgi, horrible writing-see Helena telling us how awesome she is in tuk tuk chase not showing us is clearly a problem, as well as killing established legacy characters to move the plot forward rather than just give us another serialized episode is completely not in keeping with Spielbergs Lucas vision.

Seeing Harrison Ford, the man who usually has the driest humour and the most unphased reactions fight the tears like that made me sob like a little child! Bless his heart, he's a true living legend
And so did Ali.. what a melancholic touching sunset ending of an interview.
He is a legend and truly one of the last “movie stars” we have-or will ever have.
Burst into tears at the end of that as well ! Came out of nowhere . How Harrison Fords Characters have shaped our childhood
If I didn't know better, I would have thought that was Mark Hamill doing his impression of Ford.
Same here
Mads Mikkelsen rattling off famous franchises he has been a part of is so savage and what an ending to the interview. Seeing old man, rock solid Harrison get choked up? 😢 what an interview
and he forgot about hannibal lector. Thats definitely a franchise imo
@@briceticker6721You ask for 456 seasons of keeping up with the kardashians and it comes no problem but you ask for one more season of hannibal and suddenly it can't be done.
I know, right? I'm not even into Indy (I've yet to be able to finish one of the movies, keep trying tho; maybe I'll watch this one) but I love Mads from Hannibal and Harrison from Star Wars and it's just so lovely to see them having this moment ❤❤❤❤
Did he say he didn’t need to read the script, which he did, then slip: “I don’t really loved it”
Phoebe Waller Bridge is said to be a obnoxious character who upstages Ford broken down old Indiana Jones at every turn - she is the hero of the story and rescues Indy. Reviews say shes the obnoxious perfect character while Indy is a broken old man cowering in the corner.
Didn’t expect to be crying but the end of this, great interview as always Ali. I’m glad Harrison Ford can hear how much he means to people
I cried like a baby.

That knot we all felt in our throat... Seen Indiana Jones at the big screen every single movie while I grew up, and the goodbye will not be an exception. Ali, you conveyed precisely our colective thank you to the only actor that can truly embody Indiana Jones. Thank you, Mr. Ford, for sharing with us your passion, you are a credit to your craft.
Dude. I've never cried at the end of one of these interviews. Thank you Harrison Ford. I've grown up with you my entire life and have seen every movie you've ever been in. You will always be the only Indiana Jones I will ever want in that role.
May the king live forever, but I'm grateful that we've been able to say goodbye to each other this way.
I remember Jack Nicholson saying that what Harrison Ford does on screen & convey that ‘wish I was somewhere else’ persona is really hard to pull off as an actor. He’s always been underrated by the academy & bafta but NEVER from his fans. THE movie icon of our generations. Had me choked at the end there too ❤ Can’t wait to see the film 🤠
I just did. You'll smile with pleasure from start to finish.
Harrison Ford is such a badass! Doing Indy 5, Shrinking, 1923, Captain America Brave New World all back-to-back-to-back at his age. Absolute legend!
Big resurgence for him, also crazy to believe that his 80! He looks good!

@@drewk424 Bro, I saw the movie on opening day already. Saying Indy is suicidal is a an exaggeration, but you’re correct in saying he’s depressed. I don’t know why you’re trying to give me your version of a synopses of the movie. Maybe you were trying to spoil the movie for me or something.
Harrison, you mean everything to us. The fact that you came back after all that time for Crystal Skull and even after the hate that movie got you came back for this made everything worth it. You are my hero, and these movies are why I’m currently pursuing a degree in archaeology. You’ve changed my life and these movies will always be my favorites.
Ali Plumb is a true professional because if I were in the same room with Harrison Ford I would just keep saying HI, Hi, Hi, over and over! 🤣🤣🤣
I love Harrison’s authenticity as a human being, very honest.
I love the fact that Harrison is so passionate about entertaining the fans. It couldn't be any clearer. Even in Star Wars episodes he was my favorite.
Seeing Harrison getting teary-eyed, when the interviewer was thinking him for all the years and giving us so many memories. I couldn't help my tears. I can't wait to see the last entry. Thank you Harrison for everything.
Legitimately teared up at Ford's reaction to and response to the final question. Well done.
I didn't expect to tear up at the end of this promotional interview. But I did, and I am not ashamed.
What a beautiful ending to the interview. An absolute legend and its nice to see he feels the appreciation
Ok that last part got me a bit teary. Well done Ali and THANK YOU Mr. Ford~!
And now I’m crying. Thankyou Ali for telling Harrison how much he means to us all. Great interview as always!
These film interviews Ali Plumb does are honestly the best out there on any platform. Seeing Harrison Ford choke up got to me 😭fantastic interview ! That guy is my hero watching Indiana Jones in my childhood.
Still amazes me that whenever Harrison does interviews in America there's crickets and people call him a grumpy old man, but in British interviews people laugh their asses off at his dry wit and everyone is having a blast. You guys really ought to adopt him.
Most Yanks don't really understand the subtlety of dry humour. They need it brash and obvious like Rodney Dangerfield or they just don't get it. SNL is typical of this style.
The emotion at the end was so sincere from Harrison you don't see that side of him he is a legend
I’ve just cried at an interview, that’s a new one for me. A wonderful end to a wonderful series.
Ali is the best interviewer out there, hands down. Always bringing these actors out of their shells and getting the real good stuff. This was beautiful, thank you!
really? he fakes-laugh a lot, and that's really noticeable. His questions are not bad, but I hope he does the interview with more authenticity. It's like Jimmy Fallon when he laughs.

All I got from this is a reminder that Mads Mikkelsen has some of the best delivery of any actor. He can make words on a page come to life in a unique way.
That last part of the interview got me in tears. Harrison has just been a big part of everyone’s childhood and he means the world to us. I’ll be broken when he passes away.
Most people no longer cared about Indiana Jones, but I still went to the theater to support him one last time. It was such a nostalgic ending as we say goodbye to an icon.
That man is a treasure. I wish he could live to be 200 years old. Thank you for the memories.
Oh god he looks so YOUNG in the original trilogy!
Indiana Jones is truly one of the greatest characters ever created by cinema and as a nerdy, quiet, painfully shy kid, who went to a grade school loaded with Christian fundamentalist rednecks and Mennonites, he showed me that you can be both a badass AND an intellectual at the same time. I love Indy more than words can express.
He was in his 40's when he made them. He's always looked great. Hell, he is in great shape now.
@@paulod27 He is. I can't believe that he is 80 and did most of his own action scenes (he's never done stunts, contrary to popular belief) and fight scenes for this film. And he has no fat on him, as the second scene clearly shows. Like, what is he on? Oh, that's right - genetics, hard work and passion for his art lol. (I really don't think he's on the juice like Stallone etc. - it would show.) It wouldn't surprise me if he lives to be 100. I hope he does!

I was born in the 90s but I teared up watching this. how emotional would this be for people who actually grew up following this whole journey from the beginning. I hope I could live long enough to understand the bittersweetness of it all. he is one of very few living legends.
Just came out from the cinema. It’s so good, and not just due to nostalgia
Have just finished watching all the films again. Made me very emotional. Absolutely brilliant…pure gold.
I’m 54 years old now, but I grew up watching Harrison Ford do manly, adventurous things! His personal story, the fact that he is a carpenter, and how he played Indy, Solo, and Jack Ryan inspired me! He is authentic and he comes across as human in these interviews, which have to be a pain in the butt, but he has to do them to fill seats in theaters. Thank you for being a great Actor, a good person, and a great American Mr. Ford. You have inspired millions of young men to lead lives if adventure and purpose. Semper Fidelis, Lieutenant Colonel, United States Marine Corps (Retired)
Just saw the movie. Harrison was SO good. He still kicks ass, and delivers a really vulnerable and nuanced performance. We see a depth from Indy that we’ve never seen before and Ford hits the beats magnificently
What a man. You can keep your Tom Cruises, your Brad Pitts, your Tom Hanks... nothing against them, but they're not Harrison Ford. The absolute GOAT!
Agree
Oh YES!!!!!
All phonies
Yeah I loved watching Harrison fords iconic characters get humiliated in Star Wars and Indy sequels by people who had nothing to do with the originals
@@vaevictis_Indy ain’t even out yet and your making assumptions about him being ruined. And as flawed as the Star Wars sequels are, Han Solo was treated properly and he was given the perfect send off
I teared up when I saw him holding back his appreciation. Harrison Ford is a bad ass and a legendary actor. Always loved his demeanor.
That thank you from him. You can tell it’s genuine. 😢😢😢
Grew up watching Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Harrison Ford is an amazing actor, I can't wait to see the movie. To see him get emotional was so moving, it clearly means a lot to him, which makes me love him even more. What a legend ❤
Have grown up watching Harrison Ford. Without a doubt my favourite actor....absolute legend!!
Seeing Harrison Ford embrace these roles so much in his later life is so amazing. These films have shaped the way so many’s of us grew up. I see the same change in my dad now that he is older and he was always Indy to me as a kid. Having adventures and just the great nature of the character. I feel my dry sense of humour comes from my dad and the same stoic way that Harrison always displays.
I love this man. Thank you indeed.
I love how much Harrison cares about this franchise
Crying like crazy. I was a small child when I started watching Indiana, made me want to become an archaelogist, and now, 40 years later, it's like a miracle that I get to say goodbye to him and thank Harrison for this superb gift of Indy. He introduced me to Harrison the actor and I haven't missed any of his movies every since. Thank you a million times, you amazing actor and human you!
Harrison Ford is a legend. He will be forever in our hearts. Thank you sir, for giving us too many unforgettable characters and by all emotions we felt through these stories you helped to tell. You're the greatest actor in the world. And thanks for the lovely farewell in Indy 5. That movie drove me to tears as I said goodbye to my favourite character of all time.
11:40 Mr. Fords words, mixed with the emotion of Mr. Williams score, man that made me tear up
Did you notice the beauty of the music that accompanied the credits? Now that everybody and everything gets credited, it takes a lot of music to fill the background, and the great John Williams (then aged 90 - yes, 90!) knew exactly how to use it. (N.B. I always watch the credits!)
Ali Plumb sir... take a bow. Hands down the best interview with Harrison. You actually got through his witty "interview shield" and got him to give us fans a real moment. Might have teared up for a moment... ftr Actually watching The Last Crusade on Film 4 right now! It's awesome!
Lovely interview, thank you. Perfectly bookended with the Last Crusade ending. Say what you want about Dial of Destiny but Harrison Ford gave it his all and it was a very moving performance. Legend.
I've seen loads of films, Raiders is my all time favourite film. It was great to see Harrison as Indy one last time, and to see him taking it all in now as he enters the stage where he reflects on what his career means to people more so than ever.
Mads seems like a pretty cool, chill dude.
He looked like he was going to cry at the end of the interview.
Love Harrison Ford so much ❤
Love Harrison and how extraordinary he was while bringing to life Indiana Jones, and how much joy he brought to people all around the World, while playing this part which is worth multiple Oscars! Thank you Harrison for one of the most enjoyable rides of cinema History!!!

After seeing this movie in the cinema, I get the reason why Harrison is like this. Its a very emotional goodbye to the franchise, and a very amazing way of ending the series by winding the clock back and forth within the plot, when the movie topic itself is about time and how in the end we must just let it be what it is. It's probably one one of the best, if not the best way to close one out of the best movie franchises ever to come out of the 80's. It made me feel all these emotions at the end of the movie and I'm happy for that. Those that grew up with this franchise will get it.
