- The new iPhone 7 looks almost exactly like the iPhone 6, but it’s one of the most powerful and opinionated phones Apple has ever shipped. The cameras are better, the performance is phenomenal, iOS10 is excellent, they’re water resistant, and they start at 32GB. And the batteries last longer. But yes, Apple killed the headphone jack, and that means you might want to hold off on upgrading this year.

this was a decent, honest review. you can still tell the verge is pro apple...but you could also hear the disappointment.
most phones look the same in a case though.
Headphone jack is going the way of the floppy disk, cd rom, flash etc etc. Apple ALWAYS does things like this and the others will eventually follow (how many new thin laptops have cd drives?). Just get over it!!! Makes a lot of sense to move to wireless. We don't complain when smartwatches dont have headphone jacks, same will go for phones and computers sooner or later.
i really curious when other brand start to follow the trend..

+jhe3903 actually, it only makes sense when they have a better solution like floppy is replaced by thumbdrives. their solution is only either expensive or proprietary and neither adds on or improves upon the current standard apart from being wireless. 3.5mm headphones have never had much problems delivering high quality audio.

Their Note 7 review, just like every single one of their most recent reviews, also has TONS of cinematography and special effects and I dare you to prove me wrong. I guess some people just LOVE to hate on something even when their arguments don't make sense.
That's because the iPhone reviews are going to be some of the most viewed. Of course they have to be excellent.

Assuming you got last model being the 6S I say this statement goes to those people more. Being worth the upgrade is basically relevant.

Sources says that the removing the headphone jack made it thinner and removing the home button added for extra level of water resistance. Some will like it, others will not.

The phone is the exact same thickness as the 6. It did not get thinner at all
LOL you guys are hilarious. They didn't REMOVE the headphone jack, they CHANGED IT and gave you new free headphones and a free adapter if you want to use your old ones, and they didn't remove it just to add haptic, they removed it because they made it obsolete, changed the game, added an additional speaker for Stereo output, and it was another unnecessary water ingress point they sealed up. I'm blown away that people are so stuck on not having an antiquated 3.5mm jack.
Apple needs to put a led notification light on an iPhone, I think it should be around the home button, nice look

I am so glad Apple started giving out press units. Currently on a 6S+ and I have no immediate plans on upgrading. Just...not enough differences for me.

AT&T is giving $650 credit towards the iphone 7 if you trade in a 6/6plus, 6s/6s plus regardless of the SSD size. I can't sell my iphone 6S Plus 64GB for $650 so I might as well trade it in for a free iphone 7.

3D Touch is amazing... after using it for about 8 months I'm attached to it...
I had a iPhone in my hand and forgot to try it out, but I still admit that it sounds like a feature that should be in all phones.
What do you like about it? I only experienced it for a few weeks before i switched back to Samsung. I din't find much use for it besides live photos (which I loved)

If you aren't doing anything more than talk text and a few videos on your phone.. there is no need to upgrade from the 5s/6/6+/6s/6s+/se for the next 5 years... By then we'll have new network technologies like 5G and even then 4G LTE will be absolutely everywhere at full rated speed of 50mpbs...

Jonathan wealth != smartphone. I've got a iPhone 6 Plus and it has not missed a beat for the things I use it for. It just needs to do calls, texts, navigation, news, and youtube.
What if I have an extremely slow 4s? Should I wait? (Screen cracked back and front, very slow when doing anything on it, phone dies at 25% battery) Or should I just go for the 7

I use wireless charging now for years! Its so much simpler to just lay down your phone on your table and it loads overnight.

When you have a phone and a dslr quality lens in your pocket, that's pretty impressive, of course people are going to buy this model instead of the smaller one. Especially as it has 3gb of ram.
it's good for sure but not dlsr quality. if you have an iphone 6 and want a better camera don't upgrade the phone get an awesome dslr.
Why would I spend my money on a DSLR if I will never carry the camera everywhere I go. Most photos worth taking are those that happen when you least expect it. DSLRs are not the perfect solution for everybody.

Ecryptix ! I have the 7 plus. They're quite a bit louder, and sound more full. The bottom speaker is probably the same as on the previous ones, but the top speaker adds a lot to the experience.

Actually, I think the S versions are refined versions of the non-S ones. 5S improved on 5, and 6S improved on 6. This is very much the iPhone 7 non-S.

Is the camera quality both the same for the the 7 and 7 plus? Besides the fact of being able to have good zoom in quality for the 7 plus? Only reason I was wondering was because I already purchased the 7 thinking the plus wasn't much different but now I'm starting too have some regret.
Actually, if you check inside the phone, the space where the headphone jack is, seems to be to be replaced by the new home button feature

You're pretty much saying that you think it's too advanced for this gen, but it's not.. If Apple wanted to throw all they have and put all their efforts into a phone, then yes, it would, but they're not doing that. They're releasing already improved upon technology little by little just so suckers that feel a need to upgrade to the new iPhone because they think they're cool throw more money at them.. Samsung can never pull ahead visually in my book, until they quit plastering their name above their phone screens. I hate that.
a) a logo is less distracting than text and 2) they don't plaster it on the FRONT of their phones the way samsung does.

The Note 7 and the Galaxy S7 lineup is known for having the best screens and cameras on the market. Plus, the Note 7 has a Micro SD card that can be expanded to 256GB (That's ALOT btw) so..
