    Textbook, nice to see the jab being correctly twisted, slipping inside, sets the right up beautifully, then hopefully outside to throw the left hook...hides the chin behind the shoulder......no counter stick a right uppercut on the end of the combo....exactly what it says on the tin qualty boxing tuition...

    Here's a tip when you drop your cross as on orthodox fighter try to move your torso to the left as much as possible,if he leans back take a step with your lead foot on wich you landed and land with your right foot on the step executing a left uppercut. It's called a follow up you keep pressuring after they lean back, this one is for sneaky hard to reach boxers that lean back too much.
    I had some problems with a boxer that leaned back too much times and i couldn't cach him till i did this.
    Cross with a jolt step, step forwards again land on your right foot and whilst you step drop a cross with your left hand a straight shot.
    If you do it on full speed they will never be able to back off enough times, no stepping back works against this.

      do you have any video of this pls ?

  • @bobbyCruiser
    @bobbyCruiser Před rokem +11

    countering the cross with a cross and head off the line (mirror counter) has led to many KO’s!
    Watch Bivol hit the bag and utilize these slot changes on each punch sometimes.
    Most people wouldn’t actually want to do this in a fight because your head would constantly cross the centerline but it is a good drill to understand how to punch and build momentum while getting your head off the line.
    But my all time favorite is definitely dropping down and throwing high. From a wrestling background to mma, it was a natural way to feint the takedown and throw a power shot for me.
    ( see Michael Chandler )
    but as coach highlights it also great for boxing ( see Canelo vs Kirkland)

    I’ve always wondered about this kind of movement, it seems like the opposite of a technically sound punch. When you punch you’re supposed to be balanced centered but this kind of changes that. Any tips for doing these kind of punches without sacrificing power and balance?

      Don't move your head past your knee.
      I used to do karate so sometimes it's OK to do that if you follow with certain attacks like a hook kick if I move my head psst my knees foe a moment.
      But generally you don't want to to maintain balance

      Stay on offense and defense at the same time. Slipping, countering, jabbing, always moving around, go inside and outside. Make sure you have good stamina or it won’t work.
