this skit reminds me of how my mom has her “phone voice” and her normal voice😂😂
My teacher use to that to.
Sk8taSpynse XP my step mom has her “i know you” voice and “i don’t know who you are” voice. she’s basically a fake ass bitch and acts polite and then when you get to know her she’s the bitchiest person with the worst attitude
@@alexnovak20 lol omg
Pickle Rick same
I have a phone voice n a normal voice😂
"It's a gorgeous Wednesday morning, this is Norman." lol this is kinda brilliant ;)
betheroo 👍👍👍
Norman bates
Brilliant? This is one of the most overused premises in stand up comedy. Black people talk like this and white people talk this way. There is a popular trailer that they probably stole this from.
czcams.com/video/XthLQZWIshQ/video.html
That's probably true. I just thought it was funny too how they were prisoners basically working at a call center.
Girl that's mine now ( I'm in customer service)
Q: you know what makes a white dude in prison so scary?
A: you KNOW they did it.
A highly underrated comment
🤣🤣🤣💀
Truth
Yes because black people are all just innocent angels
Damn it that must mean I'm not really innocent. I guess I can stop going around saying I am even though I know I am. I am lucky tho this spot has everything lol I'm watching SNL skits about prison jobs while actually in here. I only watched this because of that
Prison job? This is just a regular day at the call center.
Didn't you hear the part about 30 cents an hour?

This is how actually ppl at customer service work. 😂😂

I work in customer service this is very accurate
Yuppp.... One thing in the head another on the tongue

jack bauer lmfao obviously you havent researched what you're debating against. also i get that its a skit, thats why i made a joke. politics isnt always serious
jack bauer dude you gotta do some research. Start with the war on drugs and privatized prisons.
Everyone is saying "do some research", can you provide links to anything you're insinuating, otherwise it's a wasted comment.

I felt kinda felt bad when they said Rico hung himself right after that guy said that he's the the only thing that keeps him going.
This is genius, the audience was slow.
idk if i'd call it genius
how is this genius?
If you didn't get this skit, you've missed the message COMPLETELY. The prison is modern day slavery; inmates get paid $0.35 to work for corporations outside of the prison (I.e. customer service). Look it up, it's happening as we speak
Damn, so what happens if they snap on a rude customer? Do they get fired and lose they 35 cents, or go into deeper jail?

0:28 Was the best impression of telephone customer service ever. The facial expression and "oh, oh, I'll direct you to a manager" were perfectly spot on
That was awesome. I love SNL. Greatings from Slovenia
Slovenian Woodworker oh from the homeland of the third Mrs Trump/ who’s also a racist in her spare time!! do you accept returns?!
Helen 4080 Calm your tits dude. This is just a person showing friendliness. By the way, even though I'm not a fan of Trumps, how the hell did you assume she's racist? Her husband you could say. She barely even talks in english.
Gordon Freeman she questioned obama’s birth certificate on joy behar’s show!! Hmm she never questioned bush or bill clinton probably because of their complexion. She’s a birther therefor a fucking racist! Kind of ironic because melania is a fucking immigrant! Obama’s dad was from Kenya and trump’s mother was Scottish. Both born in america and are half american but one is white and the other is black. On a final note trump’s dad was a KKK member. Just stating facts!!
Helen 4080 I know Trumps history with shades of racism. I don't in any way think Melania is racist too. She could be questioning Obama's birth for the support of her husband. I think their relationship is abusive and that she has to do anything for Donnie.
Gordon Freeman are you seriously justifying her birther conspiracy. This immigrant lady questioned a black mans citizenship!! If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck its freaking duck!! In the words of kanye melania doesn’t care about black people
LMAO! SNL nailed it today! A++. The entire show was hilarious!
Yve LA BELLA The cast always seems to rise above the norm when the host is also a comedian. I think that sometimes the more famous guests might limit them somewhat.
My phone voice went to Harvard... But then I go right back to my speak 💯
Literally yesterday I was at work and I went from “I think I’m going to walk out, I hate it here” to “HI this is Maria welcome to --- what can I get for you today” in like 2 seconds
Modern day slavery, classism, racism, and a low-key prison rape anecdote.
It's official: everyone's been desensitized.
How can we all be desensitized when Baby Boomer's say this is the most sensitive generation in history? Lol
Kemptcvho what fuck baby boomers and there stupid ass stance on everything and nothing is worse then the gen Xers they are so far up na baby boomers asses it's ridiculous the gen Y is the only and will only generation to grow up with traditional values and post values basicly every from 2010 and beyond we remeber a time when electronics were n out essential and we also remeber when they were first implicated into society WE weren't tech zombies because it was essential still new and we didn't necessarily think of. It how we do now we are a unique generation because we know what a VCR is and what a Blu ray disc player is we our the generation who always gets asked "what you know about this youngin" fuck the generations before yall a bunch of bitches
They don't matter.

I love how they managed to wrap a commentary on working in call centers, a commentary on the state of prison workplaces, and a fun story of three friends hanging out all into one
i’m honestly lIVING for all these donald glover snl skits
Great social commentary there haha. "What are your fears?"
It *is* modern-day slavery. It literally is exactly that.
fozzibab then dont break the law and you wont be in there.
JohnLeePedimore slaves cant plead guilty as slaves didn't have any rights. Now a days people are born with rights and the right to become anything they choose its called free will. Some people choose to do what's not right and end up in prison
Don Solo wiki or look up the prison and military industrial complex and you’ll understand how it is the new slavery
Don Solo yea, for white people. But there is definitely a disparity bruh, like there is quite a bit of evidence that supports the fact that black people are targeted by certain laws and federal action, such as the war on drugs. It cycles people, particularly black people, into prison and makes it hard to transfer back into civilian life, thus the return to prison. It's a system and sometimes it isn't as easy as just "don't break the law".
Alex G the original guys point was the prison system is the new slavery. But its not slaves had no choice were as we each and every single one of us have a choice whether to do right or wrong and end up in prison. Maybe y'all should research how they treat prisoners in china. Dude that whole excuse of we are black so we are targeted is bullshit if thats the case how do you explain the black lawyers doctors business owners police chiefs state attorneys judges psychology majors mayors sectary of states and the list goes on and on you cant explain it but i can those people made a choice to do what's tight follow there dreams and become what they wanted to be. How do u explain my friend who's 32 never had a run in with cops and is a school teacher and he's black i can explain it he didn't fall into the crowd of what is culture made popular and he lived a lifestyle that was right and successful. Now to the real issue what's really modern day slavery and that's the work system what's the one thing we can never get back its time we are suppose to give fifty years of are life away yo u company's who don't give a shit about us to retire and maybe have ten years if we are lucky working for a wage when the company's make millions that's the true slavery we are all born with a slave number soc security that's the real slave system

Oh man, the "crapped in my hands" bit caught me so off guard I need to wipe my computer screen down from the water I spat out.

Inspired by Sorry To Bother You from his castmate Lakeith Stanfield.
How they talk and what they talk about with each other is different from when they’re on the phone. The audience members that didn’t laugh probably didn’t understand this genius premise.
TurdleyCorn or maybe they didn't think it was funny.
Yeah you put on a act when in customer service..

I've been in prison and I've worked in a call center and let me tell you....80% of the time I'd rather just be in prison.
This was a funny skit, it's how people in customer service really act.
From call center to call center, you have a wide range of personalities, but thing is no matter how foul we get amonst ourselves, we all put on the " good morning, this Andrew, how can I help you?" Voice.
There was this guy who used to work at my... work, and his voice was literally COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from his normal voice. Like you legit wouldn't know they were the same person.
One time, after I had known him for awhile, I heard a voice (in our office) talking on the phone, and I'm like did we hire a new person, who is that guy in the back on the phone. LEGIT. It was him. Seriously had no idea, I was blown away
