G'day mate. I like it 👍🏻 it sounds like it will start if you give it a bit more choke. 😇😂
Yeah it sounds suspiciously like a car I owned once.
A quick squirt of Nulon "Start Ya Bastard" and that thing will be running in no time.
In the 80's My co-workers made a 2 gallon paint shaker out of a wringer washing machine ,they had timers .
...could also work for making martinis...lol....good one, have a happy Easter..
Have a great Easter Bob!!☺
Best shaker on the youtubes
Excellent use of digital and mechanical technologies. It sounded like the motor did better on the horizontal shake, probably due to not having to lift the full weight of the can. It is a bit more clumsy in the vice, but i honestly thing horizontal orientation would also be more effective.
Thanks Al!! Definitely sounded better on it's side!!☺
I've never seen one of those shakers before, what a great tool, and even better with your modification of that 'automatic' motor drive and control, ROADKING.
Thanks alot Reg!!☺
What a cool useful tool.... I got to get one. I use rattle cans all the time.
Yeah Buddy!! It seems like all I do anymore is shake paint cans!!☺
Think you just made the tool of the decade RK - fantastic video as always
Thanks HM!!☺
I've never seen that type of rattle can shaker. Great job on the automation👍
Thanks alot Aaron!!☺
That thing is so cool especially the upgrades. I've never seen one of those. Good Job
Thanks Bud!!☺
That is super neat, thanks for showing the idea!
That is incredibly cool! Fantastic upgrade!!!!!
Thanks alot Buddy!! Have a great Easter!!☺
Ball action, makes the can happy .
Yeah Buddy!! ☺
That is really cool RK. Almost seems like it went faster on its side.
I think it might have been, it definitely sounded different!!☺
RK - Now you have it all! - Joe -
Yeah Buddy!! Life's good!!☺
Great idea, and well executed, I too have one I built from scratch on you tube
Sounds like an old Chrysler torque reduction starter.
But I think it serves a good purpose. Especially for shaking cans of cold galvanizing paint.
John
Never new they made such a thing. I do now and I like the motor and timer you came up with. Like I say I always learn something every time I watch one of your videos. Have a great weekend buddy!!
Thanks Bob!! Have a great Easter Bud!!☺
Alright, good show. Found them! Have to paint wrought iron table and chair this Spring. Thanks for the look.
Thanks Mac!!☺
Genius buddy 👏
That works great King . I like that ! ENJOYED..
Thanks Buddy!!☺
Nice
Thanks Bud!!☺
Nice one!
This is brilliant, RK!
Thanks Bud!!☺
I've never seen a spray paint can shaker before :) It's pretty neat, and it's even better with your new modification! :)
Thanks Bud!!☺
That’s a neat little contraption! I’ll have to pick one of them up
It seems like all I ever do anymore is shake spray cans!!☺
nice build there, very cool.. thanks for the video..
Thanks Buddy!!☺
Stick my spray cans in the lathe at a slightly of centre and canted angle. Then remove and give an upvv by and down shake and back in. Lol your contraption is good
Thanks Bud!!☺
Awesome Buddy, works better then strapping the can to Truck tire and a short drive👍
Yeah Buddy!! ☺
I like that, it's pretty cool Buddy
Thanks Lloyd!! I had to do something, it seems like all I do anymore is shake paint cans!!☺
What a genius idea....Never seen such a thing and it beats doing it by hand....I want one?.....CHEERS
Thanks Gator!! It really comes in handy, especially if you use alotta spray cans!! CHEERS!!☺
That is cool gonna have to get me one!! Have a safe and Happy Easter!!
Thanks Bud!! Happy Easter!!☺
You are a very clever man! Great video my friend.
Thank you!!☺
I've always shook my spray cans upside down. I figure if stuff settles to the bottom it's probably heavier than the rest of the stuff in there so upside down would help it get remixed better. I have no idea if it makes any difference but it makes sense in my messed up brain.
I've never seen a shaker for spray cans, I like it, and your additions make it even better
Thanks Phil!! I think your theory makes sense!! If I know I'm gonna use a can ahead of time I always sit them upside down for a while till I shake them!!☺
Wow that was a cool project 😎👌!!
Thanks Brandon!!☺
kool idea thumbs up shared seems to work awesome
Thanks Buddy!!☺
pretty cool!
Thanks Buddy!!☺
very nice
Thanks Jim!!☺
where did you buy that thing from?? can you put up a link?? thanks
Nice 👍
Thanks Dan'l!!☺
Very cool - Have a good Easter weekend :)
Thanks Buddy!! You too!!☺
Like that, thanks for the video.
Thanks George!!☺
super👍
Pretty Handy RK. Happy Easter to You Sir.
Thanks Tom!! Happy Easter Bud!!☺
Is there no end to your ingenuity? Great job RK!
Thanks John!! When you're lazy Necessity is the mother of invention eh!!☺
You MacGyver'd that one real good RoadKing!!
Thanks alot Matt!!☺
Cool tool! I can almost feel the reduction in carpal tunnel syndrome from here. Fun project, useful for all the others, too.
Yeah Buddy!! It's really handy, especially if you use alotta spray cans Like I do!!☺
Sounds like a car trying to start with the valves all out of whack... :P
Yeah Buddy!! ☺
Very nifty indeed
Thanks Mate!!☺
Laying in the side requires a lot less torque on the motor. An upright can forces the motor to lift the entire weight. Sideways most of the weight is on the slide mechanism. Motor is overcoming friction.
I am gonna have to come over and make some Martinis Shaken not Stirred
Great design mod to the basic shaker, but where did you get the xh-m663 timer without paying $50 for shipping???
seen something like that in a porno once except the can was bigger - much bigger 🤣
You could add a couple of small halogen lamps to warm up the can while it is mixing - i got this gem of a tip from a bike shop here in Australia - Deus ex machina , i was doing some work there and was mystified why the guy there was dunking the spray cans in hot water . he explained that it heats the paint up and it makes the paint flow better and gives a better finish and after trying it i can only agree with him .
Awesome contraption! Where did you get the timer? It's not on Amazon, and the only one on ebay is in Italy with $51 shipping to the usa. When you Google it there are a bunch of weird sites that are in China that you can't even do business with. Also what amp "wall wort" are you using?
"Not much ball action"...Roadking you kill me...
Some of the sh!t Roadking says even surprises me sometimes!!☺
Na na na na nuffa this!
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Buddy!! ☺
Pretty cool little machine there bud! I kinda thought that you would power it with a Briggs! I’ve brought this up before, but something that drives me nuts. That was not an “Allen screw” it’s a socket head screw. I don’t like to criticize but this is one of my pet peeves. I really enjoyed the video, I wish I had your machinist skills, that really comes in handy to make that adapter.
Thanks Scott!! Don't let the term Allen Screw bother you too much, like many things they can have multiple names, many times it's just a regional thing!! I believe at 3:20 I refer to it as a Cap Screw!! If you google Cap Screw or Allen Screw that very screw will show up on Mcmaster-Carr, the Socket Head is just another name for that type!!☺
You should mount it on the wall
Not a bad idea!!☺
RK, who said “the file is your friend” to you? Love it!
That was just something we came up with years ago and it stuck with us!!☺
@@805ROADKING love it! I've said it quite a few times over the years since I heard you say it!
I have a preditor 79 3 hp engine and makes no spark after sitting for the winter, i have replaced the plug and coil, no change no spark, disconected all grounding wires and flywheel magnet seems strong...any ideas? im about to have to buy a new motor
Dirty points or bad condenser
✔️👍😎
Bloody Mary mixer . Ya just had to try high speed :) !!!. THE ROAD KING DRINK MIXER ONLY $29.95 ,GET YOURS NOW WHILE THEY LAST !! .
I think on High Speed it's probably an accident waiting to happen, but you're right we had to try it!!☺
Nice fabricatin' ! Does the motor get warm at all? With all that gearing, it's probably just coasting.
Thanks Chris!! Nah it doesn't get warm at all!! I usually only shake a can for 2 minutes but I did run it for 5 min. just to see if it got hot!!☺
I think another way you could have done it, would have been to take a short piece of 1/4" hex stock and put it in your lathe chuck and make a simple mod to the stand to fit on the ways. and Bobs your uncle. LOL
That's not a bad idea Matt!! I could leave it set up there, I only use the lathe about once every 6 months!!☺
You’ll need to find another way to exercise your biceps. Nice job very cool 👍
Thanks Joe!! There's always something in that garage that's trying to keep me in shape!!☺
Leave it to RoadKing to come up with this. I like sideway better, if you're taking votes.
It does run smoother on its side but it doesn't sound like the ball is doing its job on its side!!☺
Where is Mike at these days? He hasn’t posted a video in a month
He's been too Busy at work to have time to make videos!! I haven't even seen him in a couple of months and only spoke to him a few times!!☺
@@805ROADKING That’s what I was thinking, but just making sure he’s alright.
is that even necessary to shake more than a few times by hand? I mean the more the better yea, but anytime I do it by hand it works fine for me.
What the f...heck is that?
