But it is up for me to show you on actual test and review if this paper is really without a doubt, the best. This paper is none other than, the STRATHMORE BRISTOL 500 VELLUM SURFACE. Let me show you how different brands of colored pencils behave on this paper. I use, Faber Castell Classic colored pencil, Brutfuner oily colored pencil, the Prismacolor Premier, and the Faber Castell Polychromos. I hope to show you some other important colored pencil tips especially for beginners while introducing you and myself to this Strathmore Bristol 500 Vellum Surface that i bought from Shopee Philippines and let us find out if it is indeed the best colored pencil paper in the world.

I hate to tell you, Heather Rooney uses Strathmore 500 series Bristol PLATE, not the Vellum. Although the 500 series Vellum is great too! Iam actually a full time professional artist and Bookbinder myself... and I love the Strathmore 500 series line, it's the only Strathmore I'll use. My favorite is the 500 series Semi-smooth, it is in-between the plate and Vellum surface. My other favorite is their 500 series HEAVYWEIGHT mixed media BOARD, not to be confused with their 500 series mixed media paper. The HEAVYWEIGHT Mixed media board is a 350lb. 579gsm board that is 4 ply. It has a Vellum surface, but it's much more subtle than the 500 series bristol Vellum... the one you have. I love the plate, the Vellum... but not their 500 series watercolor paper, It's not sized much at all. I wish they would make a toned tan and toned grey 500 series, those are the only 400 I'll use... but the much thicker mixed media toned papers. Anyway, have a good one

Plate surface po ang gamit ni heather rooney, ultra smooth ang nakalagay sa plate surface pero may fine texture siya mas smooth ang bristol 300 kesa bristol 500 plate surface.

have not tried fabriano, hot pressed papers are fine too, especially d branded, Berkeley board is good too, nice finely textured

May nag advise sa akin na hot pressed ang gamitin na paper. Pero depende parin talaga sa artist siguro? Hehehe hinde maganda ang outcome sa akin. Sa illustration board sanay ako. Salamat sir
