They started out with the comments on. Then the cookers got them shut down, that's why. CZcams is a privately owned company and content creators know if you don't moderate your comment section that can hurt your channel. So now you know. I'm Indigenous and I find this cringey......what a condescending ad..vid whatever this is. There ARE valid reasons for people to question this. I looked on the Voice site and there was SFA about any process, concrete information on how communities are effectively heard as.alot of remote communities are still scratching their heads about what the voice is. If this voice mob.truly respected our voice they would be fully aware that traditional LORE in some communities declare that one community cannot speak for another. They don't care about the diversity of different communities and put us all in the same basket. I refuse to maintain a victim and oppressed narrative and how dare we burden our young people to do the same. My children Excell because I taught them that they can do anything against adversity instead of disabling their free thinking. Replicate success in what we do it's a no brainer.

I have looked deeply into all sides... yes.. for starters. Importantly, it's a small thing but by being enshrined in parliament it means at least this time it won't been thrown out at the next election. A simple small practical step and we will save money in preventing appropriated funds due to not listening.

The constitution is already racist because it insists a nonindigenous paradigm which favours the culture of a particular race. Just like Mabo did not take land away from farmers a little advisory body won't take anything from you. The reason why it needs to be enshrined in the constitution is so it can live beyond one election cycle. Purely practical and even less than ATSIC. Chill out.

Thanks for engaging with me on this topic. I've also studied Aboriginal history and seen the amazing work of New Zealand history with the Maori people and have seen the benefits of a voice to Parliament over many years. What Briggs is saying is icing on cake for me. When Albo said he's finally going to do the referendum I was so thrilled because it's going to make a huge difference to the life expectancy and quality of life for our first nations people and acknowledge them in our constitution. I have written to Albo and told him thank you for this. To be truly seen and heard is a human right. I pray you reconsider this stance and its promotion. I pray that our first nations people will be treated with dignity as I have been as a refugee from Sri Lanka in the 1980s. Australia has been much fairer to me and my family than it has been to our first nations people. This is our time to change that for good. @@mojo2968
