I'm still voting NO, let me make that clear.
Waltzing Matilda is Australian unofficial anthem,,,,,
Iam a quarter cast I reckon get over it stop being a victim we are all Australian stop living in the past and move forward countless other countries have gone through atrocities it’s time we all stand together instead of dividing yourselves
Wow love you 💕. That’s the way to go 🤗
Yer but that doesn't bring about communism. How are the bankers going to end up with vast swathes of drones servicing their every wish if we are not disarmed and have every freedom and property rights removed from us?
LOL. It's not the past it's the present and we need to do a lot more as a society to close the gap for indigenous people. I for one would be most entitled to be dismissive of indigenous people as I lived in a remote community a few years ago and had my car stolen and house robbed by indigenous teenagers on crystal meth, was also threatened by kids with broken beer bottles. Yet I'm able to understand the realities of historical and continuing disadvantage for indigenous people in remote communities and I do not take what happened to me personally.
@@pantherz9103 And you think communism will fix that?
So much easier to have the victim mentality than work to improve your own lives. That mentality is what has always held Aboriginals back, no matter how much help they're given. But it won't change and in 100 years, they'll be in the same position they've always been in and still blaming whites
This song does not belong to John Farnham, as he neither composed it nor obtained the necessary permissions from the original creators to perform it. Therefore, he lacks the authority to bestow this song upon the 'Yes' Campaign. In essence, the song does not fall within his purview to offer.
Waaaaaaaaa
So he's a corporate criminal as well as a non-event? God help us all
All these yes campaigners can talk about is emotions and feeling - how "wonderful" it is. They seem to be quite ignorant of the practical consequences of such a technical change to a technical document.
I think you're over thinking it a bit there mate...
Do you know something the constitutional lawyers don't champ 🤔
And yet the NO campaign is run on emotions and blatant lies
Scaring people into believing they'll have to pay black fellas rent on their homes and an indigenous take over in Parliament
When its literally nothing of the sort 🤷🏻♂️
@@AnneSmith-lr7cp The Uluru Statement does not detail the structure of the Voice and how it will do its job… The details including the functions, powers and processes of the Voice, will be worked out between government and First Nations and put into legislation.
What will be the function and power of TUSH? Not even the advocates and designers of the statement know. It has no discernible limits. How can the government accept a constitutionally enshrined proposal without knowing what it will actually involve? TUSH advocates must provide a clear analysis of the functions, powers and processes of the Voice before putting it into something as permanent as the Constitution.
Professor Megan Davis from UNSW argues in a webinar on the TUSH website that it will force the government to listen to the constitutionally enshrined body, because in the past advisory bodies could be ignored. Legally, it is unclear what exactly being ‘forced’ and ‘listened to’ will mean. How do you know he hasn't read it? 26 pages isn't a very long read at all.
Please don't spread misinformation. It takes a minute to find the Uluru statement and check for yourself. The thing is less than 500 words.
Even if that were true, which it's not, do you think it's not possible to read 26 pages? Cos that would explain a lot.
Stop spreading misinformation. It is ONE page. The twenty six pages being claimed are about the processes leading up to the statement. There is one page, one statement. Thats it.
It’s one page, but I bet you already know that.
It just like that John your legacy took a huge hit.

Love John singing this but omg prefer Mitch singing it in his native Australian tongue. Great musical arrangements with his such haunting and emotionally done. Credit where credits due. They should have had Mitch do a song it would have been more fitting to the party must have been other songs to sing.
Yothu Yindi would seem more appropriate to me.
Please don’t think that; The Statement from the Heart hopes to bring an understanding to Australians from all walks of life and for this reason Farnham is perfect. Even more so than general elections, referendums require as many people as possible to be brought into the tent to find out why this is so important and I don’t think fans of Yothu Yindi need any encouragement especially as Yolngu nations people have been dreaming of this voice for so many decades. My feeling is that there are pockets of Farnham fans that aren’t that much interested in the lyrics he sings - they just love him and they love the way his voice makes them feel. Our Constitution already is for ALL the Australian people. There is no need to put this "Voice" to parliament in it. This "Voice" divides us from "All being equal Australians", now it will show preference to one part of the Australian demography. That is not what Australia is all about. Okay, so who else, a voice for the immigrants from each of the various countries we have come from, or those who didn't choose to come here, the convict descendants. We need to stop reviewing the past and all the historical mistakes and look to the future, united as "Australians" and proud of it. Australians have rejected most proposals for constitutional amendments, approving only 8 out of 44 referendums submitted to them since federation. $364.6 million cost of delivering the Voice referendum. Stop wasting Taxpayers money, just get on and do the governing, make sure the Indigenous people are well cared for, as well as the rest, the poor, the sick, the elderly, all the disadvantaged people. How about they stop increasing taxing the low-medium wage earners and get the "Wealth" tax up and running effectively.
To equate marriage equality with ongoing reparations and divisiveness and racism where marriage equality is about a relationship between consenting adults is ridiculous. The Voice /treaty affects the entire population . Comparing apples and oranges does not compute.

Not a true fan if you are surprised by this. John has always been a loving and kind man, and has always shown support for indigenous Australians too, so it's not surprising at all that he is supporting the voice. This is exactly what I'd expect from him, and exactly what anyone who knew anything about him would expect.
There are a lot of tired old people quoting Sky News in this comments section - most of them whinging about not having any information at the same time as they accuse John of making money off this, even though the *information* that no money changed hands was in this report. If they can't even understand something basic like that when it's told directly to them, why am I not surprised that they can't wrap their head around the information about the referendum.
