EW&F❤From Japan🇯🇵

I sometimes feel like I was born in the wrong era because here I am listening mainly to music that is 2x or 3x the age I am and also wishing to go back in time to watch them perform. The artist of today will never match them. They are the best!

Wow, I wrecked my brain, in an attempt to make you feel better. However, I wasn’t able to find the words. Those of us fortunate enough to have seen them live during the 70’s were truly blessed! Saw them ‘75 “That’s the way of the world tour”
Jan ‘77 the “Spirit” tour. And Dec ‘77 the “All n All tour “ . I really wish they had their concerts on tape.
My suggestion, is check out the “live in Rio”
      Good speed.

I saw this show at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, Ca. Got into the arena early and was casually walking around when I saw that Philip Bailey was right in front of me. It looked to me that he had just greeted friends there for the show. No one else around me seemed to recognize who he was. But I did. So I approached him, shook his hand, and told him how much I loved him and the band, and that was it. My girlfriend at the time got a hug and kiss on the cheek.

Before my senior year in high school ! It was so surreal, I could never imagine them coming to our hometown and being in a band that opened the show. We actual could play some of their tunes and I also played kalimba. I was definitely an EWF wannabe lol

Maurice is music, I think God I saw the EWF when I was a teenager, back In 1970's early when they became cross over shining star, I did not care they were cross over only thing I knew Maurice was the mastro , and as a teenager between 13 or 15 I saw a great man who happens to be a genius Maurice, a nice humble man who love his band and respect them, I never heard anything negative about Maurice, he did not want to his band to do drugs and to me that says alot about him, Philip, Ralph Johnson verdine white, woolfolk are left at this 1988 concert , EWF could made a living playing jazz or africano, classical music and
That's how gifted they are, even in 2018, they still can make aliving just playing their instruments, Love Maurice thanks for the great performance at Madison square garden, and your love for great music, and you beautiful smile, humbleness, all the awards that have been given too you, well deserved my dear dear sir, RIP I am just watching this concert , I have not seen before, all there shows are not the same , last performance I saw was 1979. May Jehovah be with your family, friends and your fans, they are millions of new ones, see you in Paradise. thanks again EWF.

It's good to remember how Maurice was a true master musician and song innovator. RIP Mr. White, I hope you are performing for the BIG MAN IN THE SKY and is probably enjoying your music as we did and still.do.

I saw this same show when they reunited at the old Capitol Centre in Landover, MD in January 1988. Was the last time I saw Maurice live. Six years later in 1994 they came to George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA to support the MILLENNIUM CD without Maurice. People in the audience were like WHAT IS EWF without Maurice? Well as awkward as it was they have been amazing in the 21 years since Reese retired.

THANK YOU!! Driving me bonkers trying to remember who the other guitar player was (not Dick Smith [who did excellent solo in '..World']) - is Sheldon Reynolds. Maurice was something else - even just speaking was like a melody.
