I was an usher at a concert venue from 1970-1974 with all my best teenage girlfriends and I can tell you we saw EVERYONE Including these two tremendous bands LIVE!!!! What a joy to see them here again, brings back those memories but I see all the boys are in great form!!! Gorgeous sounding and fabulous concerts and with both of these iconic bands and their songs, what a JOY!!!!!!!!💖😍

The reason this music was replaced by rap music...both long standing country music and rap music does not require a a select singing voice and instruments were replaced with contemporary music technology resulting in fewer musical instrument lessons, the technology has spawn a new generation of performers and their artistic product is consumed by > 95% of the buying population that raps along instead of singing horribly in the shower...

He played w EWF for years, then w Phil Collins, and MJ......That why I turned into a professional guitar player also, 46 years in...ALSO, I LOVED the band Chicago, they're legends!! . I was raised on Great Music!!!!
Your uncle Don Myrick was taken way too soon from us, may he rest in peace. He was an amazing musician, I was a young guy when I saw him perform with Phil Collins, just amazing!

I was thinking the exact same thing. And he was lead singer on many memorable songs… Beginnings, Saturday in the Park, Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is. When Chicago had the trio of singers, Lamm, Cetera, and the late, great Terry Kath, they were really blessed with talent.

There’s a dvd out there with a concert they did together around 20 years ago. I borrowed it from my library and haven’t been able to find it since. It was soooooo good.

The most fun concert I ever attended (and I went to hundreds for free) was EW&F, or The Elements as we called them back in the day. The energy level was incredible! I'll never forget it.
This is very cool I was lucky enough to see both of these bands when they were in there absolute absolute prime I saw Chicago for the first time back in 1969 and I saw Earth wind & fire in 1971 I've seen both bands over the years probably 15 times a piece absolutely incredible I was so heartbroken by the passing of Terry Kath and Maurice White two brilliant songwriters and musicians may they rest in peace 🙏
Look up on YT 25/6/4 Live at Tanglewood 1970 where Danny Seraphine is fumbling with drum kit while Terry starts the intro. One of great guitar performances of all time . Terry was an absolute monster on guitar and had a fine voice too. Too bad that after Terry’s untimely passing in Jan 1978 that Chicago lost direction under the tutelage of Peter Cetera and David Foster ( yuk) and got “ soft.” The post 1978 Chicago is mostly elevator music and sappy love songs. The 1970 Chicago absolutely rocked. Terry Kath was and is missed.
They played this beautiful Chicago song about "not worrying about time" on my car radio on my way to work. It was "my last day" working before Covid-19 ended my 12-year-long job on Friday the 13th, 2020, coincidentally. 😷

Saw this Dynamic Duo in Virginia Beach. I love how in their hey day, they were in 2 different genres of music. If you were white - it was Chicago. If you were black - E. W. and F. I could be wrong about that, but it took 40 years for people to realize their styles are pretty much the same - Awesomely created big band music that makes you smile and dance!!
I love both bands, musicianship! I was fortunate to have seen both bands in their hay-day. Tells you how old I am, terrific music. Chicago was the first real concert I went to with my jr high friends.
These two groups are the reason why I also like Bruno Mars - the horns section is just lit. The brass/horns section of Chicago and EWF are what makes their music timeless. It’s just amazing feeling everytime you hear their songs.

Love the brass. Both bands I think for me it's because they both have such a large instrumental that it's like listening to a rock symphony.
