FAILING VINYL SEAWALL REPLACEMENT

On this project, we’re replacing a smaller series vinyl seawall that had to much of of an exposed height, which caused the wall to bow out in the middle and fail. We came back and replaced it with Everlast 5.5 vinyl sheet seawall. We also install a Golden Sea Drive Boat Lift .

Would have loved to see how you handled telling the owner or neighbor the water leak caused the bow-out...who paid for that repair?

Those sheets were absolutely not long enough, so sad to see. I'm glad you're able to fix it up right. Also, I always have wondered what it's like to push a huge barge like that around, seems like it would take a lot of skill, very impressive stuff in those tight canals.

Do you have any insight on vinyl sheet profiles and thickness. Looks like you use a lot of Z profile sheets on your projects. Is this customer choice or your preference? Is there any advantage/disadvantage of Z profile over box ?

Great info in this video, really appreciate it! When installing vinyl in front of failing concrete wall panels, how do you turn in for the wing walls? Especially when neighbor has same concrete panels with no separation at property line.

Thanks for your question. Sorry it took so long to get back with you. I must’ve overlooked it. Yeah that is a hard one to do right there. If you can’t cut the wall and get it removed then you have to attach that wall and make sure you get a good connection. I would take some 2.5 cc a treated lumber and put some anchor bolts into the concrete wall, and time on vinyl, end it out with some roach control cloth on the inside to prevent any leaking from any of the cracks. You might not be able to seal all the way.
