I wonder why they have not taken Crimea back yet. Is it being defended so well, or the opposite, is it so badly fortificated that Ukraine would not keep it for long anyway? One way or another, it would be a heavy blow for Putin's ego to loose the peninsula, even if it were just for a few days. But maybe it's still not worth the cost.

That clip from the tank was from a long time ago, and IIRC, the first time I saw it one of the guys in it was speaking later about being in a tank that was splattered, the crew surviving, and moving to another tank, which I think had gotten hit, too, to a much smaller degree, but an open hole. I could be conjoining two different unrelated stories, but for some reason that is sticking in my mind. Maybe they were shown close to the same time? Probably old age, and no relation whatsoever.

Forget about fighting to run such distance with alk those gear and fear and then stop only to shoot. They make me feel so weak. I am sure they would like to be with their families too. Did you know that Russian air defence can intercept US JDAM gliding bombs.
Western air defence is unable to recognize and intercept Russian winged FAB and UPAB 1500kg gliding bombs. Airplane dropped FAB bombs range from 250kg to 1500kg. These are substantially cheaper than US Himars ground launched missile version. Designed to bury multistory building or do same to super reinforced NATO bunkers. Hence due to high attrition rate NATO army in Ukraine desperately needs new solders .
There is NO Nato army in Ukraine. Russians are great at intercepting western missiles with their tanks, ships, aeroplanes and their military personnel.

It is same story: We came through Poland, we formed a unit, they drove to front line, they gave us an order to hold the ground, we where bombed by Russians, we run, half of my comrades DUY . All stories are same. Most of them never saw a single Russian solder. If they did it would be high fecal stench over Ukraine.
