I think it's good even as a form of propaganda for Ukrainians to use the Maltese cross and especially to use German weapons they still haunt the 12 million Soviet soldiers who fell in the vast fields of Eastern Europe.

Directly off of the Balkenkreuz wikipedia page:
"Since the early beginning of the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian army vehicles have been seen using symbols like white crosses and the Balkenkreuz on tanks, APC´s and armored mobile artillery vehicles for recognition. This symbol however is not recognized as an official symbol of the Ukrainian military."
Basically so they can positively ID each other on the battlefield if all else fails and they can't communicate for some reason. You won't see any Russians painting a Bundeswehr Balkenkreuz on their tank.

It is part trolling and mostly part a way to make a less visible coat of arms for ukraine, you guys should look after the coat of arms of the ukrainian armed forces, it isa bright red cross with a blue medailon and golden trident in its center, not really a thing to wear in battle 😅

The DANA from Slovenia was the fastest panzer howitzer with wheel drive and 152mm gun built by Tatra in the 80s. If Ukraine has so many different weapon systems, it would be good if there were a lot more of howitzers on the battlefield.

That's a Czech howitzer so they didn't "keep" the iron cross decals, they painted a Wehrmacht style iron cross on themselves!!

The Wehrmacht marking on the side of the piece is a perfect lancet target. Look at panzer pics from 1941 and tell me which side you're on.
Look at the Hitler/Stalin pact which started WW2 and tell me which side Russia was on.
Russia has always been on the side of protecting itself from European emperors with hegemonic superiority complexes. Charles XII 1708, Napoleon 1812, Kaiser 1914, Hitler 1941 and Van Der Leyen 2022. And of all the historic symbols a Carpatho-Rusyn culture could choose, Ukrainians choose the Black and Red of Bandera, I N of double S, the Black sun and the Balkenkreuz. It's not a mystery to a free thinker what's really happening.
