That 850 is the hoss. It was toting with those trees. Great video of that big boy in action. You have to love the way the engine purrs on it. The operator was talented as well.

If they are designated to go down, somebody is taking them down- so what are we going to do, not take the work?? I appreciate that you posted your video (I'm not sure why it popped up now, since it's 10 years old)- but I also like the way you took the time to respond to every single person that commented on your post. That takes time and effort. It means a lot to people! We have 3 subscribers so far on his page (he doesn't even use a computer....shhhh) I hope to build it up to a gazillion like you have one day. If you look at the trees, listen to the crackiling of the dry timber as they are uprooted, and see the ease with which the dozer pushes them out of the ground, you can figure out that the bigger trees are for the most part, dead.
I coulda used that machine with that operator today!!! Little tornado touch down n effin trees on my power lines. Grrrrr!!! My little tractor will only do so much lol. Great operating.
Land improvement is very necessary for a farming operation as it expands acreage for corn and soybeans. Land sitting idle now becomes productive and this helps feed a hungry world. To Black Earth Excavation, you have very good business talent and your videos shows that, and is always pleasing to watch.
Hows the timber used to build your house going? the framing? joists etc? Hows the paper you write on everyday? We use timber absolutely everywhere. Felling trees is a fact of life..

Lary thelobster you seem to be upset about trees getting hurt, and since you seem to be the one to know...is it more painful if they are burned to death or pushed over by a dozer? I know that using a chainsaw would be the quick and painless way to go but man is it hard on my back sometimes, especially when they are really big.

That’s the only way to clear land. Anyone who says that mulching is the way to go, doesn’t know how to operate a dozer. I rented a D7 to clear my property after having some city stink with a man bun tell me he could mulch my 7 acres faster with his skid steer than I could push my way through. I said let me tell you something slick, that man bun might be a tad too tight, I said I wanted the land cleared, not clear the air.
Man I love watching them trees get pushed over. So fun to watch.

I am buying 10acres of mostly hard wood, 24" OD trees, and they are everywhere. Want to make a drive way next spring, what is the best way to do that?
SheepDog7071 bulldoze them down. Get the wood removed & grade the land.
Check on wood prices, might be better to fell the trees and then go after the stumps with an excavator or bulldozer after.
