He don't know what he is doing!
what are yall gonna plant there? also that field is really smooth or your backhoe rides like a caddy :P
tennis shoes again
no hearing protection no boots no gloves no hard hat no safety goggles wow
Hey man, im about to buy a cat 12T (1955 model) and it's got a d318 that spits oil out the exhaust pipe . Should I pass on it? I dunno what could be wrong with it. The motor runs fine no blow by or anything but it uses about a gallon of oil every few hours . Don't know much about these motors, I don't wanna buy a lemon .any advice?
@@johndowe7003 does the dozer move freely? Any bad sounds from drivetrain while at idle or in standard operation? That might help determine the sale.
I love that old D-7 ! What a beautiful song she sings !
The sweetest sound in the whole world, a D7 17a with a whopping big turbo on em. Fourteen litre four cylinder that dont rev over 1100rpm and are at their happiest at about 800. You can hear that turbo whistle for miles away and those old girls will just keep lugging down to when ya can hear each cylinder fire and each time it does the turbo will do its whistle. Best motor in the world. I own a 63 model identical to this, but with a set of triple tyned rippers that wouldve been more suited to a D8. They are made by an Australian mod called Standon. Driven off the pto with its own big oil tank. Beautiful old dozers, pre powershift days. Just lugging power to getcha thru.
Damn thing is like an armoured recovery vehicle i bet it could pull a tank.
I just bought a 63 D717a that was parked for 25 years. I’m still working on unseizing it! Pup motor turning and like new, just need to add more power to magnets in magneto!
Haven't seen many video's Diesel. Thank you for this fine one.
I am sure you know but for those who don't , if you turn a offset disk which that is to the left it works a lot better .
We had one of these on our farm. My father paid $2,000;for it in the early 70s. Such a powerful machine.
To all the negative commenters- just enjoy the sight and sound of a fantastic old dozer. Most of us, if given the chance, would love to hop on that thing and pull the disc around.
That's somethin. Never seen a dozer push started before. It went pretty smooth too.
I love Caterpillar and Allis Chalmers bulldozers.
Very good condition is the best of luck for
Thumbs up on your nice video.
That's one of the bigger cat pony motors. It has its own front loader and back hoe.
Old school.....nice.
Pop starting a dozer hilarious
He'll be replacing the under carriage on that D7 soon.
Wowsers totally didn't realize that dozers can be push started
when machines are so powerful u think if u get ran over by one wearing boots and a hard hat will help its gonna be fatal if u stuff up no matter what so who cares i like the look
Этот кот, завёлся быстрее чем моя новая веста🤣
From horse drawn to
Cat,Old technology, now obsolete..
To The John Deere today plough 20a in hr, Amazing😁
Yes with a off set disc your suppose to make left hand truns because eventually he i going break blades and axle of that disc
Let's see how the old D-7 would handle a big sub soiler attachment
And for the record that's a disc not a plow so he is discing not plowing
He should be discing in a counter clockwise direction and making left turns. Going to bend or break the disc frame turning to the right.
There is such a thing as Disc-Ploughing. Discing normally refers to using Discs as a secondary cultivation process after the initial Ploughing is done. Normally sets of Discs designed for Disc-Ploughing have scalloped discs on the front row to cut trash or long grass.
I'm looking at this piece of equipment and then looking past it and arou d it. Can someone tell me where I'm supposed to be looking for plowing. I'm lost. I only see discing behind a dozer. What a waste of time.
I had the same rome disc I put a hydraulic cylinder on it to open an close does a great job,, I sold it now regret it
Sometimes the older stuff, whilst being a bit more dangerous, is just superior. Heavy Iron never tires, it simply becomes too hard to pull!
The real name of the implement is a tandem made by conner shea
What is he trying to do?
It's doing a good job.
Who’s the driver on that cat, sure don’t know how to disc, break out the machetes and clean clogs
What a bloody mess he`s making !
Need a sunflower plow.
Where I’m from we call that disking!!
No, At 2 mph, That's a funeral march.... So sad...
Bobby Alley I sure isn’t working very well thinking he should be using a plow.
@@davidglaum2538 The best solution would have been..
Mowing, Raking, and Harvesting... Then..
Ploughing... then and only then..
Disking.
And use 80 to 150 Hp wheeled tractors for all the above.
.
We called it breaking new ground because that is what the implement is used for. No transport wheels, Most likely old DOT equipment.
@@hiscifi2986 Looks like old DOT equipment, meant to be pulled by a dozer. No Hydraulics, No Transport wheels.
Looks to be a large cover crop disc. Should be making left hand turns instead.
Yeah you gotta turn with the disks or it puts a lot of stress on the implements, I buried myself to the axles going against the disks before lol
@@johndowe7003 My dad had one years ago that he loaned to a neighbor and the neighbor broke a couple of discs by turning right. My dad was strict with me to pull in left turns only if ever used.
@@Drew6709 yeah I believe it, it aint really expensive to fix, just a pain in the ass
Drew6709 that’s called an offset disc To really discing
Maybe it needs new blades?
Heavy old covercrop disc. Looks a bit muddy.
Nossa que tranquerada
When you do a job incorrectly it’s just a waste of time, money, and fuel.
Until now, I thought this was only possible in Russia
Cut and bale that beautiful hay first..or put cattle on it and graze it..
That ain't flower that's called disconnect plowing is when you actually sink a plow bottom into the ground and it rolls the soil that is what plowing is that is dragging a disc following means you are rolling over
What's the point of that?
Надо было сперва сено скосить, потом дисковать!!
I really cant figure out what he was trying to do main thing is looks like he was enjoying him self
Needs a 4 bottom plow to do the first cut then use the disc harrow to smooth over the first cut.
If he doesn't know the difference between a disc and a plow, that may explain why the offset disk is turned to the right instead of the left as it should be. Have to wonder why he didn't clean the clogs out of that disk... Lots of hay lost there. I guess he is just playing.
I have a Rome like that it's tortured me we tortured it,it tortured our jd8760.
U need a big cover barn for all those nice peace’s of equipment so they don’t rust away
La pura cagason con ese... Romperador. 🙈
Wouldn’t this be considered discing?
It's a plow pretty much, those disks go down a foot or more into the ground
Not a plow its a disk harrow. Dont comment if you dont know. A subsoiler goes 18 inches in the ground and its not called a plow.
@@Dougarrowhead its not a disk harrow ya twat. a disk harrow only breaks up the clogs of dirt and a disk plow prepares a seed bed with rough tillage. they look the same but are used different. also i didnt call it it a plow i implied it does the same job as one.
@@johndowe7003 i farm for a living. Youre an idiot this is an offset disk harrow. Its not a disk plow or anything else.
@@Dougarrowhead i reckon I said that? I didn't say it was a plow , I said it does roughly the same job as a plow since they down down about the same depth. You still gotta harrow the field afterwards cause it leaves such a rough finish
Wrong equipment for the job.
Not if it's full or masquite
Me thinks they have lost the grease-gun.
Bananas
El chófer del tractor no tiene experiencia de las vueltas alreves tiene ke boltiar al lado izquierdo
мне почему то кажется, что такой техникой можно было сделать перевал глубиною 50-80см, а не диски таскать...
So why did you stop making videos for so long?
Sometimes I don't have anything interesting to film and that affects how often I can upload new content.
Making a wadded up mess is what it looks like.
What in the hell are we looking at the ground for, I’m outta here !👎🏻 Gonna go watch Andrew Camarata videos 👍👍
Big Estr ard nol
I cut my grass first before plowing.
you always turn to the left with a offset ----not right
Didn't see any ploughing
Would anyone agree with me
Just cost 5000 dollars to plow that field. lol
Not Ploughing Discing
He is driving the wrong way . go the other way and it comes out of the ground when you turn. I have a rome disk just like this.
May be it was better tocut the grass before...
No shit
He fuck up big time
that's not a plow....it's a tandem disc
Am I the only one who knows that those are not plows that the D-7 is pulling?
There is such a thing as Disc-Ploughing, when Discs are used as the initial cultivation implement, as opposed to their normal use as a secondary cultivation tool.
The dozer is to heavy for the field
Thats not ploughing, just saying
In my neck of the woods they are called Offset Discs,,
Im no farmer but this doesnt look right🤔🤔
Hythat looks
At least you shouldn't break a cable on that job.you shouldn't (•‿•)
Is there a purpose to this
David : it's called having fun.
Your tracks sgould not look like the top part of the Golden Gate Bridge. Just sayin'.
I’ve ranched and farmed for 60 years. What in the hell are they doing? Wasting grazing. And misusing equipment. To start.
He's cuttin' under a gold mine to start with. He could combine the Gaillardia in a few weeks and make a killing selling wildflower seed. Another thing is cutting the field for hay after the seeds mature, not teddering at all. Just let it lay there 3 or 4 days .Rake it, bale it.
Sell it to the D.O.T. for top quality mulch hay.Only though this hay is packed with native wildflower seed worth around $80.00 a pound. A win for a D.O.T. of any state, since most States try to encourage wildflowers. Ask an outrageous price and get it. Turn it, harrow it, disc it, lay it off, bed it up, set irrigation, plant it in late squash, cut about 4000 boxes at $20.00 a box til frost. That's the kind of dreamin' that makes us farmers.
A shit set of Tandem Discs. Totaly the wrong implement. Start with big Giant Discs to turn it over. Failing that mow the fecking grass first.
They don't have a clue what there doing
Why is he making right turns wasting a lot of time
Thats a disc not a plow and a shity job of it
Caterpillar D717A?
Este operador no sabe Rastrear las vueltas con rastra son alas Isquierda
You need to turn the ground over before you disk it and half your disk are riding above the ground. See ya and good luck, being from tezas should know better.👎🏻
ดิ
Weirdest looking plow I've ever seen
That\s plowing? What a joke.
Adonde habrá aprendido este seudo operador, pues está dando las vueltas contrarias... Y al dar las vueltas de esa manera.. Castiga discos y chumaceras.malo, malo, málo.👎👎"
What waste of desiel
Should have used a plow disc was the wrong implement for this job!
