- Here you have it guys!! A video on how to reset that thing. I was amazed when I tried to look for a video on this, but I found nothing. No a single video, or well probably not a good one. Anyways, Hope you like it.

for those who are having 2011 model and disappointed by doing as in the video then please do this procedure.
Just make the car ON with out engine ON.
Then navigate such a way that oil percentage will display on your screen.
then keep pressing the tick mark Button on the Dashboard for 5 seconds,(where there are total three more switches near by.This button is called reset /Clear button)This will work for sure.
Note:Do this only soon after changing the oil and filter.
there is a button that has a car and the letter I next to it. it is located below the stereo controls and above the ac controls. press this button until you see oil life remaining displayed. once it is displayed, press and hold the button that has the check mark, until it resets and displays 100% oil life. the check mark button is located right next to the button with the car and letter I symbol. hope this helps.
Thank you so much Byron! You are awesome!
thank you!
This worked.
Byron Jones this worked. Thanks
Byron Jones great advice it worked thank you
Thank you Percy , short and concise!!🙏
I always come back here.
This worked for me on the first try when the manual was no help. Thanks so much!
also don't just push the button ,change the oil
Ok peeps!
Here is the way I do mine.
2011 front wheel drive chevy Traverse. With 120000 miles on her.
1. turn her on, but don't turn her over.
2. Press the vehicle info button below the stereo until the oil life display is shown.
3. Press and hold the green check ✔ button till ye see the number change to 100%
The gas pedal three step did not work for me.
The odometer/tripometer rodbutton pushy holdy did not work for me.
The meth heads at the oil change place could not figure it out either.
I practiced a little trial and error and logic games to figure it out.
This is the only way that worked on my Traverse.
Cheers!
This is the only one in this comment section or the damn video that’s right lol
PERCY THANK YOU MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!! This video helped me! I watched the video and ran out to my car and did exactly as you said. Using that method I changed a few other things too. THANK YOU!!!
+mexicanbeachbumtv you are very welcome!! I am so happy you liked the video and that it was helpful to you. Apparently, that's not what the other comments say. But, its alright. Let's keep being positive! Thanks again
There will always be haters, so sad. I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I told this to my mechanic, he was very happy to know this, thanks again and ignore the buttheads, you have helped several people
The video shows and instructs that one should push odometer counter for 5 seconds to change oil life setting after oil change. I found that on dashboard console, under radio is 4 buttons. Once I selected the 3rd button from left to get to oil life tracker, I proceeded and pushed the "check mark" button for 5 seconds and my oil life tracker changed to 100%.
It helped, huge thanks 👍
Perfect instructions! Thank you!

What year is your traverse?
I think Chevrolet traverse 2010 LTZ 2awd
It didn't work...I keep pressing the odo bottom but it's not showing me the oil life...just the odometer, trip a and trip b😠
Mark! I'm sorry man. But i don't know how to help you here. I havent experience that. I checked the manual and didn't find anything, as I expected. Sorry I couldnt help.
Bro you're skipping some stuff why do you put up video that is not even helping people out...
I put up this video because I knew it was gonna help some people. Your case is different, something that will require more research. I am sorry you are upset because my video didn't match your expectations.
if you have any gm car/truck with a oil life monitor turn the key on with engine off, press the gas pedal 3 times in 5 seconds ( it is a back up/default way to do it ) i have worked for a gmc/buick dealership for 5 yrs
