Do you find you have better results with that much bio media, rather than filtering mechanical media? I just ordered one of these because I have so much debris in my tank I can't seem to get rid of.
@@lukefrommordor4778 no because it's new...i bought 2 days ago and it starts immediately. If you have a mail i can send you photo. Because i bought from Amazon, but i have to understand if it's a defect or if i m doing something wrong

hi i have clean water i clean once every 1-2 months filter
You get more surface area for bacteria
You need more sponge filtration just take the bottom decedent out I ran it like that can fit in some finer sponge after course
I have 4 sponges there and I clean the filter 3 times a year
Why do you put the purigen down under instead in the first one you put it on top

Sometimes i find some water that goes down from 4 small holes under covering. Why in your opinion?
I don't know maybe some mess of grass through the filter ..... that water flows through the filter?
either dirt or grease the Vaseline seal
