From time to time I get gifts sent to me often with out any warning
My CZcams contract says that they could be deemed as payed promotions
Due to the nature of me doing vids daily mostly in a hurry
I feel it’s best so not to fall foul of contract so I will now just add the hash tag #paidpromotion to all my vids This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated

Prickly sitting on the fence
Always nice to have the right machine for the job
Olly , if you’re going to dig in a new drain pipe parallel to the hedge then you really ought to put it a good 5 mtrs away from the hedge line , otherwise the hedge root will eventually find the drain and block it again . Similar , also applies if you put 22 mtrs apart drain pipes directly into an open ditch with a hedge very close by , make sure you put non slotted pipe for the last 5mtrs or so , otherwise the roots will find them . I’ve fetched drains up with solid roots 20 mtrs up the pipes . The little buggers get everywhere . Good luck Olly 🤗
Hi Olly, could you dig a ditch along the edge of the field where the drain is blocked?
Thanks for making these great videos.
Surely it’s the responsibility of the council to sort out the drains from the manhole. You’ve put the time and effort in to work out the problem.
If anything should ever happen to Olly his love for fields will live on forever.
Great video Olly. We have had rain most of the day just when you think everything is starting to dry out...😀😀😀20%
Great video Olly and the crops are coming along nicely 👍👍
Great video Olly, nice to see the barley is coming up. We have rain nearly the whole day, hopefully the week ahead is not to bad weather wise. 70% Today
We’ve had a nice day as well rain to the east of us. Cold wind tonight though 80%
Have to let Dad out with the 1455 on the grass roller so he has 4 wheel drive this year😂
Evening jet setter good vlog 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
In North Yorkshire today rained most of the day Surely. Any crop is better than no crop at all looks a nice day going to a few farms today in North Yorkshire I’m surprised how wet it is here it’s worst than Lancs seen some brilliant farms yesterday Yorkshire is a beautiful County Hope you get your drain sorted Olly feeling 85%today and Olly brilliant video
Great video Olly great to see the spring barley coming up
We had a lot of rain in the night and early this morning then a bit of sun but cold in North Gloucestershire
Having fantasic weather in Glencoe, though the wind is very cold, 90%
That shrub you were having issues picking up was cornus. People actually put it in their garden on purpose. 🤣
Almost recovered from my broken ankle 95 % cannot wait to get walking properly with Hattie the dog
Good video 👍80% Showers today.
As much as we miss the sound of the xerion roaring away that quadtrac might be one of the best pieces of machinery youve got on the farm now, its already earning its keep with the ground its managed to get on.
Bet you didnt realise just how useful it would be when you bought it 😅
Cheers mate , hope you’re above 75% , now that the water has receded I hope it’s 85% 😁. Take care .
It's such a tough year for farmers. You're not the only one with bear patches in the fields. Stay positive and roll with the punches thanks for your uploads
Great video. I also have these tractors. 😘😍😃
Looks like the yaris could do with a serious wash
Hi Olly a great Sunday video, we had heavy rain this morning, but the rest of the day it's been really sunny.
Here in Cornwall.
We've had 35 mm of rain in East Yorkshire today. Really pee'd off with it, had plans to get some stuff done at my allotment. We take one step forward and few backwards. Enjoy Ireland.
In East Yorkshire this morning the rain was absolutely biblical! Fields that were showing signs of drying are now holding water again.
34mm Overnight and today in North Herts, next to this year’s cereals event! Very welcome as it’s been so dry recently
Rained in North Yorkshire nearly all day, horrendous
Very wet last night and rain until around 10am on south coast SW Hampshire then dry and sunny afternoon & evening. If chain harrowing, I have a Ritchie chain harrow and one can let the frame on the ground to help level the ground out. Some real bad poached ground, it took 3 or 4 passes to get right again.
Sow some spring wheat and sell it off for whole crop silage
My dad said to me one day that if you plant spring barley or wheat etc in winter it’s a hell of a crop but you have to be quick to harvest it because it’s so delicate
Hi olliy had 25mm of rain on Sunday 😢
Can they not put a root cutter down the drain to clear it 🤷♂️. Can’t see the council financing a replacement any time soon.
Feeling extremely grateful we didn’t have in Shropshire, the rain the east of the country has had.
Our amazone veins wore out crazy quick
Wouldn't an open ditch through the trees be more effective than another underground drain? It'd possibly be more capable of taking the rapid influx of water when the rain really comes down and it runs off the dual carriageway?
Dogwood that in ya bucket. Grows well in wet ground 😅
👀🙄🐾👍 A grab bucket for the telehandler would make jobs like that easier
Take the bucket of put the boom over the bucket pull the branches into the bucket with the boom
Might have useful to carry a pitch fork to put branches in bucket.
Potatos. It is insane how much expensive equipment is needed for a crop that is so cheap in the stores
Dry and even shirt sleeves weather here.
Lunch out, 2 yellow cars, 5 (five) orange ones and an orange artic (yes, cab, chassis and semi trailer all orange) resulting in 120%.
Watched BTCC from Donnington Park; are at least the bigger Merlos all 4WD? Asking because one was trying to do a recovery on wet grass and seemed to have 4 wheel wheel spin.
What you had in your bucket looked like Japanese knot weed
20mm of rain here in east Yorkshire.
Take some milk over with You for Sammy’s cuppa !! Had about 20mm overnight and during today over here 🤦🏻♂
They should put in a root barrier when they lay in the new pipe & have oversize pipes to future proof it 90% today how are you
Why is drainage pipe so important? Could. A ditch in this situation be a better solution as maintenance in the future will be easier as tree root problem will continue and there will not be cost of loss of infrastructure in a few years time. With a ditch you or the council can maintain every few years at need with a bucket.
Can you sometime do video how bureaucracy have change since England left EU? Is there so much paperwork anymore?
Spring barley better late than never my theory is it is not spring yet trees still look very brown no leaves had over a an inch of rain today near York washed out🥵
My agronomist told me "there's no point in ploughing a ton per acre crop up....to grow a ton per acre crop"
And Cuckoo corn won't yield well...
Brush wood near the end in the shovel, it would be easier with a dung fork and grab over the top. Sadly I doubt being arable you are unlikely to use a dung grab, but at least it would be in new condition from an arable farm a lot longer.
Hands up all those who read the video caption in a Thunderbirds voice?
🙋♂️
great stuff
Trainivation update x2
How do they dry potatoe land without ploughing it very unusual
Wheat should make 300 a ton later. Lots of bad crops everywhere
if you dig ditch the tree roots will not block it permanent job
11:05 that’s Cornus also known as dogwood
12:48 great content again
Olly wats the crack with the new fert bar spreader u bought when we gonna see that in action?
Hi Olly when your new chipper coming
are you considering planting any mazie for grain or did combining it for your friend last year put you off that idea.
They dog wood bush you where trying to scoop up into the bucket?
you should make them put a new drain in on their property, you shouldn't have to pay the price for their lack of maintenance!
Would you be allowed to take down the rotten post & rail fence & dig an open drain to take away the water? I know its taking up space just with so many trees around it'd be easier to maintain, clean out every few years, no easy answers but that water flowing out into the field must be so annoying
24mm in South Northants.
Hi olly, why do you not use any manure or slurry? Is it expensive to get. Wardy seems to have a deal with the local sewage works for dry cake to spread????
First this is nice
Mind that Samie girl and big dog they will lead you astray Ollie
Have you ever thought of growing marrow fat peas for the animal feed industry? 23 mm of rain overnight with me
40%
Food .Don't bank on it.
