My favourite tractor of all time is the tef 20 Ferguson because you can fix it in the field and it started the tractor concept 3point linkage and load sensing on the 3 point linkage please don't get me wrong there are people out there that thinks it is nuts to love this tractor but I love it because it was ahead of its time what other tractor has. Keyless starting lol
We have fairly recently acquired a couple of fendts, and I have to say I agree with you regarding the best tractors! Although, I do love my old mf 8690, even though some of the stuff on it doesnt work anymore!

My favourite tractor is a fendt 818 turbomatic as I spent many summers in it spreading sewage sludge, but then also a ford 6600 as that’s my first tractor I drove flat rolling fields when I was about ten years old. Great video Olly👌🏻👍🏻

Sorry to hear about your friend David it’s so sad when things like that happen we lost two close friends in those circumstances it’s heartbreaking and I hope James had a good Birthday My favourite tractor is a Case Quadtrac I know you need mega acreage to warrant one. Value for money I would back the Case. Used to love driving the old 412 and 820 fendts. Spent a few days in a 720 one gen behind yours, and once I found my way around it, I loved it
My favourite tractor is the fordson super major. Both my grandparents used them when I was growing up so hold a special place in my heart and also the first tractor I drove

I'm really sorry for your loss Olly. Sadly my 34 year old nephew took his own life in 2018 so I know how devastating it is. Thoughts are with you and David's family at this sad time.
Great video l did all my farm work on a muirhill 121 that was abig tractor at the time you needed a ladder 🪜 to get in tons of steps when bailing in and out all time when the string broke keep up the great videos

I left Farming alot of years ago so back then I loved Ford's TW's was up there but for some reason my all time favourite was a 7810

Great video Ollie and happy birthday to James looking at your fendt it’s like a space ship I started on international 674s and massy 188s I drove a fendt turbomatk don’t remember the number for a silage season for a contractor with a back push off buck rake the man who owned the contract business has passed away a long time ago.He had a brand new international 1255xl on a double chop his son still has it and it’s in mint condition this time of year has great memories .

My favourite brand has always been Fendt. So 939 or 724 are my favs followed by a Kirovets K700A, JD 6920s, MF 35 and a Claas Axion 960.

I am not a Farmer but grew up on a farm as my best mate had a farm and from the age of 12 he had to work it as his Dad passed away and left him and his mum and sister to continue it which they did successfully as he is still farming though his sister lives on another farm and his mum passed away also which he tells me that he is now an orphan. In the early 70's I used to watch from my bedroom window very much like James the Estate Ford County Super Sixes (They had at least two of them) ploughing, running silage and grain trailers in the very large field two fields from my house so that to this day that is my favourite tractor. Happy Birthday James. My son was a difficult birth not for me I may add but he is all grown up and made me a Grampa last week so I am a very happy man. 100% today and it was warm and dry. There is a hint of rain in the air now. Typical I have just spent nine hours detailing my car but at least I will see the beading on my new wax.

I’ll show my age, Original Ford 8100. Was absolutely brilliant for road work, drilling, rolling and spraying. Not so good for heavy land work like ploughing but we had a TW25 for that 😊

leyland 282 syncro was my favourite tractor. quick, turn on a sixpence, plenty of power. worst tractor john deere 3650 good tractor hated those silly small sg2 cabs. one door always having to run around the tractor to unblock the forager pickup reel. so we put a 150hp wagon engine in the leyland to pull the chopper. iam deaf as a post now.

NewHolland / Ford 7740. Loads of torque for a 95hp tractor, nimble enough.
Nice engine noise, reliable when SLDP gearbox.
Good fuel consumption.
A bit bouncy on the road now adays. But a great tractor.

My favourite tractor is a fiat 180-90 turbo hands down
Basically agree on 724, apart from the fact that Gen 7 is even better! We've just got a 724 Gen 7 to replace an S4, but it has a lot more torque, lift capacity and tighter turn. So you're gonna love the 728. 724's are modern classics and will be revered like 7810's soon.
My favourite tractor probably a Cat 45, used to love my old 7740 and a TS100
the 1455 except the engine is the same tractor as the old 600 series favorite, some of them have turboclunch

Massey 135 is what I was first allowed to drive.. so they are my all time favourite.. best sound ever was a IH 1056.(2wd) ploughing in the mid 90’s… she just purred… JD driver these days…
my Massey 6280 was the best tractor we ever had, pulling the five furrow Dowdswell plough was a dream.
Got my 724 on the tempo maize drill at the moment, loving life, want nothing else!

i think if you really like something you should keep it. sometimes a newer model or a different model of the same make can just be that bit different and the things that are different you don't like...we got a MF 390T it's a great little tractor ......it's light ,simple, fly's along on the road, so manouverable with tight turning circle.......we bought a MF 4355 some years later that was just a newer version of the 390T but the things that were different about it i didn't like or was troublesome.......we haven't got the 4355 anymore but have still got the 390T
You can set the brake release for trailers onto the joystick

My favourite tractor would be the claas 660 arion, tiny bit smaller than a 724 and 205hp but still more than capable if doing big tractor work and nice and small with a good turning circle 👍
It's interesting, 20 years ago in Norway, a "large" farmtractor had between 100 and 120hp. Today it is 180-240 depending on the farmer. My dad bought a new Massey Ferguson 5455 with a loader in 2005, paid just under 500 000 NOK. The equivilant today would be a 5S.145 and it costs 1.5 million NOK. Same size, 40 more hp, but three times as expensive.

If I came to work for you and you said pick your tractor I’d say the 1455xl all day long , 956 was the best tractor ever made , in our area the land is steep and it sits so well across the steep , but also never driven a fendt so maybe I might like it . The valtra looks awesome to be fair
The NFU also do great pensions, I know , I’ve have one from years ago . Lots of other pension co went by the board or bankrupt

My favourite tractor of all time is the David Brown 770 favourite current tractor in my MF 4707 . I used to be insured with NFU Mutual for 26 years but they became totally unaffordable for a small business I never made a claim once and yet the premiums just kept spiralling upwards and even now I've had quotes for tractors and there hundreds of pounds dearer than other companies for same level of cover. So sorry will have to disagree about NFU Mutual . I am 80% today
