What's so weird about this is that everything i know Josh Ruben from is comedy and he is amazing, then to see this kinda role ,well let's just say I'm gonna watch.
I've only seen Josh in shows from Dropout tv, so to see him in something like this is awesome
I like the combination of modern and retro elements in the movie. I prefer the first half more, though.
I loved it. Fresh, bloody, and the addition of Greek mythology to give it a twist was awesome.
This will be my Saturday night film of the week. I have been saving it. Shudder has been the king of horror for the past two years and with this film perhaps they have outdone themselves.
I will leave a review after I view the film in its entirety. I am a true cinephile who looks at films from a different perspective than most.

I really enjoyed 'A Wounded Fawn' ( which I only watched bc of Josh Ruben ). After reading your comment, I went and watched 'Scare Me'. I'm so glad you posted this comment, otherwise I wd have never found that movie. I do wish that annoying girl had died at the end instead of the guy, but regardless, it was a fun movie to watch!

The music, cinematography, and sound design were all really good in this. The least Act was a little nutty, but I happen to like nutty horror.

Didn’t care for the second half, stylistically, but plot-wise I liked how it dealt with Bruce’s actions. The 16mm film stock(or look, at least) made it feel like ot was shot in the 70-80s. And call me imperceptive, but I didn’t snap outta that aesthetic until I heard the iPhone ring-tone nearly half way in 🙄. (I’m sure there were clues before that). I coulda used a bit more front end and less back end, but it’s a good film-not for everyone, not typical, but horror’s been relying on that for farrrrrrrrrrrr too long. The better horror movies these days are the bold and different ones that don’t insult your intelligence by relying on cheap scares and tropes.

The tail end of the movie is what made me feel like I wasted my time. Heard the same from other reviews but they were right. Definitely had potential and kept me interested for the first 60-70 percent.
Definitely looks great visually and a giallo vibe mixed with the movie fresh but the second half veered off into a weird direction. It was an okay watch, but I much preferred the way the first half was going.
So it wasn't a Gaillo vibe?
96% on Rotten Tomatoes and I can see why... this film is mythic, powerful, trippy, confusing, and artistic.

This is a really good film. The ending however was a bit silly but still very good and something different to the average horror.
It’s how a real horror would look minus paranormal bs
I liked the ending, I just didn't like how they dragged the death scene out. Flopping around like a fish forever, like come on already, they're dead, lol! ( I said "they" so I didnt give away any spoilers if someone who hasn't watched the movie yet reads this ).

Or make a low budget movie, get one recognizable actor or two if you can afford it , stick your your production budget, promote it through word of mouth and maybe, just maybe with a horror genre you will turn a profit if you can get it on a niche streaming platform.

The weirdest thing about this is the amount of people that actually liked this movie. This is in the top 10 dumbest movies I've ever watched and that's bad because I've seen some dumb movies in my lifetime. This absolutely was ridiculous i gave it a try because it is in the top horror list but i honestly don't know why. The ending is what killed it i did like the first half of the movie but just like all new movies these days the ending sucks and ruins the whole movie

Ultravid, and as you've seen the trailer you can skip about 22 minutes into the film. If you're watching on your phone the site has many popups so I use uc browser open 20 tabs to remedy this.
There's about 15 minutes of kinda cool stuff from the time our protagonist starts to get the inevitable suspicions to the all out reveal. We then defend into a cultish demon supernatural sequence of running through the woods, of course panic driving the car into a tree to stop any escape and the trope of men being the vile scum of the earth in the eyes of rationale women....all sex is rape, thief and murderer in most cases also...
Forgettable is an understatement, I've even forgotten the name of the film...oh yeah A Poontang Porn...

I would highly suggest "Brave Browser". Browser has integrated privacy features and ad blockers which work waaaaay better than extensions and add-ons for Firefox and Chrome. The only thing I don't like about the browser is it doesn't track near locations like say fast food near me or the closest walmart like Chrome would. Other than that though I use brave for everything especially streaming sites I haven't had a single ad trying to open since
I tried it. I think you're right but the sites I use don't allow ad blocks anyway, it won't load up properly.

Sorry, but I disagree. I watched it twice and it wasn’t awful: It kept me happy, but fumbled like a dropped lateral pass in the middle. I’ll watch it again, that should clear the fog out my mind. I’m a, “Drag me to Hell” kinda guy? Sammy does it good! Is this your first, sonny? One thing I can say: You might get better ❤️🩹
